개념 지도를 이용한 저학년 대상의 방사선학 교육 효과 사례 보고 (Report of Radiologic Education Effect Case in First-year Students at University Using Concept Map)

  • The purpose of this study was to apply a concept map to the first-year students of radiologic science and report its effects. The concept map is a visual representation of a major concept and related linking statements. Concept maps are useful tools for students to construct and organize content they have learned. The subjects of this study were first-year grade and at one university in Chungbuk, Korea. They were divided into active and passive participant groups in the class. And they were evaluated the educational effects such as satisfaction, fidelity, learning achievement, and interest before and after using the concept map. As a result, the passive participant group significantly increased the educational effect except for satisfaction, and the active participant group significantly increased the educational effect in all variables (p<0.05). These results showed that concept mapping, which induces first-year grade students to participate in class, could be helpful in radiologic education. It is expected to be used as basic data in various radiologic educational methodology studies in the future.

  • 저자들은 III급 부정교합의 가족력이 있는 8세 6개월의 여아를 III급 부정교합의 초기상태에서 조기치료를 시도했고 계속적인 장치의 장착으로서 Growth spurts에 일어날수 있는 하악전돌증의 공적으로부터 이를 방어하고져 시도하였다. Growth spurts로 인한 하악전돌증의 방어를 효과적으로 하기위해서는 chin cap과 extraoral force의 이용도 적절하리라 생각한다.

Reliability Evaluation of RF Power Amplifier for Wireless Transmitter

  • A class-E RF(Radio Frequency) power amplifier for wireless application is designed using standard CMOS technology. To drive the class-E power amplifier, a class-F RF power amplifier is used and the reliability characteristics are studied with a class-E load network. The reliability characteristic is improved when a finite-DC feed inductor is used instead of an RF choke with the load. After one year of operating, when the load is an RF choke the output current and voltage of the power amplifier decrease about 17% compared to initial values. But when the load is a finite DC-feed inductor the output current and voltage decrease 9.7%. The S-parameter such as input reflection coefficient(S11) and the forward transmission scattering parameter(S21) is simulated with the stress time. In a finite DC-feed inductor the characteristics of S-parameter are changed slightly compared to an RF-choke inductor. From the simulation results, the class-E power amplifier with a finite DC-feed inductor shows superior reliability characteristics compared to power amplifier using an RF choke.

미국 초등교사의 과학교수에 대한 스토리라인 탐색 (An Inquiry into the U. S. Elementary School Teachers' Science Teaching Storylines)

  • This study aims to inquire into the U. S. elementary school teachers' storylines for science teaching methods, scientific knowledge and interactions with students. As research subjects, two American elementary school teachers, named Christina and Melissa, were selected. As test tools, this study adopted Storyline Test and semi-structured interviews. Firstly, in regard to the science teaching method, Christina evaluated that she gradually improved her science teaching skills up to positive 6 points, starting from 2 points in the first year of teaching career, while Melissa sustained a stable state with 5 points in the 9th year of teaching career, starting from 1 point in the first year of teaching career. It was found that both the teachers had more confidence in their science teaching methods by participating in various training programs. Secondly, Christina evaluated her scientific knowledge in the first year of teaching career as 4 points, but evaluated her present scientific knowledge as stable as 6 points since she started studying teaching materials actively, discussing with other teachers and having more ability of application through science class integrated with other school subjects, in the 7th year of her teaching career. On the other hand, Melissa evaluated her scientific knowledge in the first year of teaching career as 1 point since she did not exactly know what to teach elementary school students, but in the 6th year of teaching career, she sustained a stable state with points through joint-activities with other teachers. It was found that chances to research with other teachers had important effect on both the teachers' confidence in scientific knowledge. Thirdly, in regard to interactions with students in science class, Christina said that she did not have any interaction with students when instructing inquiry activities in the first year of teaching career, but since the 10th year of her teaching career, she had sustained a stable state with 6 points through active interaction with students, by leading learning projects and science competitive exhibitions, etc. On the other hand, Melissa evaluated her interaction with students in the first year of teaching career as 1 point because her class was reading-oriented, but since the 9th year of teaching career, she had sustained a stable state with 6 points so far, by developing inquiry activity strategies to improve interaction with students. Overall, it was found that inquiry activities played a central role in improving both the teachers' interaction with students.

서해 송도 갯벌에서의 동죽(Mactra veneriformis: Bivalvia)의 성장과 생산 (Growth and Production of Mactra veneriformis (Bivalvia) on the Songdo Tidal Flat, West Coast of Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국 서해 인천 연안의 송도 갯벌 조간대에 서식하는 동죽(Mactra veneriformis)의 성장과 생산을 조사하였다. 표품은 1989년 3월부터 1990년 9월까지 월별로 채집하였다. 각장은 1989년 3월부터 8월까지 단일 규모 모드를 보였보였다. 1989년 9월부터는 1990년 9월부터는 작은 개체들이 출현하기 시작하여 이중모드를 보 였다. 서식밀도는 다소 불규칙적으로 변동하였으나, 대체로 시간이 경과함에 따라 감 소하는 경향을 보였다. 1989 연도군의 서식밀도는 1990년 2월 이후 급격히 증가하였 다. 각장은 봄에 성장이 빠르고, 산란기 이후 여름과 가을에 둔화되며, 겨울에 성장을 멈추었다. 성장률은 연령이 증가될수록 감소하였다. 중량은 산란기 직전에 늦봄에 최 대값을 보이고, 가을에 2차 최대값을 나타내었다. 윤장과 이로부터 역계산한 육질부 건중량으로 연성장을 분석하였다. 각장은 vov bertalanffy 성장 모델에, 건중량은 Gompertz 성장모델에 잘 적합되었다. 1985년군의 L∽가 가장 높고, 1986년 군이 가장 낮았다. 중량의 성장률은 2∼3세에서 최대값을 나타내었다. 1984년군과 1985년군의 W ∽와 성장률이 높았고, 1986년군과 1987년군이 낮았다. 최대성장률이 나타나는 연령은 1986년군과 1987년군이 더 빨랐다. 각장과 중륭의 상대 성장률은 연령에 따라 지수함 수적으로 감소하였다. 육질부 건중량의 생물량은 모든 연령군에서 봄에 높았다가 산란 기 이후 감소하여 겨울에 최저치를 보였다. 생물량은 1990년 8월에 134.6g·m/SUP -2/ 으로 가장 높았다. 1989년도군이 가입한 이후에는 1989년군의 생물량이 총 생물량의 변동을 지배하였다. 1989년 3월부터 1990년 3월까지의 연소연량은 67.9g·m/SUP -2/· y/SUP -1/이었다. 조사기간동안 1989년도군의 누적 생산량이 가장 높았고, 1984년군이 가장 적었다. 생산량은 봄과 가을에 증가하였고, 여름과 겨울에 0의 값을 보였다.

유치열기 3급 부정교합 환아에서 facemask의 효과와 재발 양상 (THE EFFECT AND RELAPSE PATTERN OF FACEMASK THERAPY FOR CLASS III MALOCCLUSION CHILDREN)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유치열기 3급 부정 교합 환아에서 facemask를 이용한 악정형 치료 후 골격적 변화와 치료 후 나타나는 재발 양상을 평가하는 것이다. 유치열기 3급 부정교합 환아 15명을 대상으로 구내장치로 bonded expander, 구외장치로 facemask를 이용한 악정형 치료를 평균 12 개월 동안 시행하였으며, 1년 간의 follow-up 기간 동안 유지 장치는 사용되지 않았다. 치료 시작 전, 치료 직후, 치료 1년 후에 측면두부방사선사진을 촬영하고 전후방 및 수직적 골격관계와 연조직의 변화를 비교분석하였다. 모든 환아에서 치료 직후, 유의할 만한 골격적 전후방 관계의 변화를 보였고 1년 간의 follow-up 기간 동안 재발되는 경향을 보였으나 치료 시작 전과 비교하여 치료 효과는 유지되었다. 수직적 골격적 변화는 치료 직후 증가되었으나 1년 간의 follow-up 기간 동안 다시 감소하여 치료 시작 전과 비교하여 차이를 보이지 않았다. 연조직의 변화는 facial convexity 및 상순의 위치가 치료 직후 개선됨을 보였고 1년 간의 follow-up 기간 동안에도 치료 전과 비교하여 치료효과는 유지되었다. 하순의 위치는 치료 직후에 유의할 만한 변화를 보이지 않았다. Facemask는 유치열기 3급 부정교합에 있어서 효과적인 치료 방법이며, 안정적인 치료 결과를 위해서는 적절한 형태의 유지장치가 고려되는 것이 바람직하다.

Flabby tissue를 동반하는 골격성 Class III 환자의 양악 총의치 수복 및 적합성/안정성 평가 증례 (Evaluation of suitability and stability in a skeletal Class III complete denture patient with flabby tissue: A case report)

  • 치조제 흡수 및 광범위한 flabby tissue가 존재하는 Class III 무치악 증례에서 의치의 유지, 지지, 안정을 얻기는 매우 어렵다. 환자는 72세의 남성으로 약 20년전 비의료기관에서 제작된 의치의 잦은 탈락과 잘 씹히지 않는다는 것을 주소로 내원하신 분이다. 본 환자의 임상검사 소견상 상악 전치부에는 심한 flabby tissue 가 존재하였으며, 골격성 Class III에 해당하는 심한 하악 전돌 양상이 관찰되었다. 먼저 임시 의치 제작으로 저작기능을 회복하고 flabby tissue의 무압인상채득을 실시하였으며, 구치부 치아 배열을 고려하여 최종 의치를 제작하였다. 이에 환자의 주소인 의치의 탈락 및 저작시 불편감이 개선되는 양호한 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.

MMPI에 나타난 한의대 졸업반 학생의 성격특성에 대한 연구(1) (Study about Personality Traits of Oriental Medical Students in Graduating Class on MMPI (1))

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate personality traits of oriental medical students in graduating class by using the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). Methods : The subjects of this study were 164 (male 108, female 56) oriental medical students in Busan. MMPI scores were analyzed about validity scales, clinical scales and personality disorder scales in aspects of whole student, attendant year, gender and ages. Results & Conclusions : First, The average scores of MMPI scales showed that oriental medical students in graduating class lay within the range of normal. There was no difference among attendant years, and averages of each year made little difference to whole student. The students belonged to 'defensive group' that were doing adaptive defense relatively Second, in comparison with gender, female students got more social adaptability and less stress than male students. In comparison with ages, group of $28{\sim}42$ years old tended to make up themselves with defensive attitude.

응급구조사의 자격과 면허에 대한 소고 (A Legal Consideraton of License and Certified Qualification of Paramedics)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study is to identify the legal concept of a license and a qualification for health care personnel. We analyze the appropriateness of the qualification for the first-class paramedics and the sufficiency of 3-year job experience in substitution for college level academic major. Method: We reviewed Laws on Healthcare which stipulate academic and career qualifications for healthcare personnel for whom college-level academic training and job experience to get a license. Results: There is no legal consideration which permits major and educational background substituted by job experience. Only third-class hygienist who graduated from a high school or the equivalent with 3 year job experience can apply for first-class hygienist' national license examination without educational requirements. However, it is nothing to compare with first-class paramedics because the work of hygienist is not directly related to patients care and there is no need of doctor's supervision for hygienist' job. Paramedics have a major role in saving emergency patients in making prompt decision, applying appropriate emergency treatment, securing intravenous route, managing intubation, applying defibrillator, and etc. Conclusion: Ministry of Health & Welfare should grant license to paramedics and annul replacement of academic major background. In addition, it is imperative to broaden the scope of paramedics' job so that they can guarantee patient's life saving in emergency situation with quality major curriculum of college level.

중복판막수술에 대한 임상적 연구 (Clinical study of multiple cardiac valve operation)

  • Seventy eight patients underwent operation for combined multiple valve disease, with an overall early mortality of 14.1 % from January, 1983 to September, 1988 in the department of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery of Pusan National University Hospital. All of the above cases had combined multiple valve procedures. There were 33 mitral valve replacements and tricuspid annuloplasties, 33 aortic and mitral valve replacements, 5 aortic and mitral valve replacements with tricuspid annuloplasties, 3 aortic valve replacements and mitral annuloplasties, 1 open mitral commissurotomy and tricuspid annuloplasty and, 1 mitral valve replacement and primary closure of tricuspid valve cleft, 1 mitral valve replacement and aortic commissurotomy, 1 mitral, aortic and tricuspid valve replacement were done. 44 were male and 34 were female and the age distribution was from 14 to 57 with mean 38 year old. According to NYHA[New York Heart Association] classification, 49 patients were class I, 19 patients were class Il and 10 were class IV. Average perfusion time was 205.3 minutes. The live patients perfusion time was 178.7 minutes while that of dead ones was 272.0 minutes. Early deaths within 30 days from operation were 11 cases, 6 of which were due to low cardiac output, 3 were acute renal failure and 2 were cardiac rupture. The 65 patients were followed up from 2 to 30 months for a total 20.6 patient years. 1 patient committed suicide because of postoperative depression 1 year after operation. All of the survivors were enjoying their daily life and their NYHA class was superior to the preoperative ones.
