Analysis the Determinants of Risk Factor Model for the Jordanian Banking Stocks

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants of risk factor model for the Jordanian banking stocks from 2006 to 2018. This study employs the Five-factor Fama and French's (2015) methodology and uses the annual returns of all Jordanian banks including 2 Islamic and 13 commercial banks listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) over a period of 13 years. The results show that the factors of value and profitability have an important role in evaluating the expected return in Jordanian banking stocks. Moreover, the value HML and profitability RMW factors provide the highest cumulative returns among these five factors, while the investment CMA and size SMB factors are still around zero cumulative returns. For the market factor, it provides the least negative cumulative returns. The results showed that the largest correlation is between value and investment factors which means that banks with a high book to market value become banks with a conservative investment strategy. The result of the sub-periods confirmed the value and profitability results. The findings of this study suggest that the five-factor Fama and French model is the choice of building an investment portfolio, especially the factors of value and profitability.

  • Purpose - This study focuses on "large-scale marts," which is a typical discount-based retail channel (hereinafter, DRC), and provides practical managerial implications by applying the KD-SQS service quality factor based on customers' experiential perspective by developing and applying existing service measures. Research design, data, and methodology - The research subjects include adults who have experienced "large-scale marts." The research involved SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 19.0 packages; path analysis is used to analyze structural relationships. Results - First, physical aspects, human interaction, and additional convenience aspects of service quality have statistically significant influence on service value. Second, physical aspects, human interaction, and policy have statistically influence on store loyalty. Third, service value influences store loyalty. Fourth, service guarantee adjusts the relationship between service quality, service value, and store loyalty in terms of human interaction and policy. Conclusion - Among service quality measures, improving service value through personal service needs to be prioritized, while we need to develop different methods for the service guarantee system to effectively influence service value and store loyalty.

  • This is a case study on "the Project for Production Facility and Technical Support of Processed Seed-Potato (2008-2010)" based on the Value Chain Analysis (VCA) used to create and plan International development cooperation projects. The project is the earliest model of Creating Shared Value (CSV) in the agricultural sector. For the case analysis, a framework was established to assess the effectiveness and impact of the CSV project based on the main factors of the VCA. As a result of the assessment, project participation by OSI was able to increase the overall utility by developing the Vietnamese potato processing industry and meeting consumer demand. Furthermore, it formed a business model to promote win-win cooperation and upgraded the value chain of the potato industry. In addition, it contributed to the improvement of incomes and the quality of life of farmers and communities by providing technical guidance and purchase of contracts, as well as labor division and cooperation with other activity supporters.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors which affect the customer value and satisfaction of public information services used by the researchers in SMEs(small-and-medium size enterprises). The results, based on statistical analyses of a survey conducted in Korea are as follows; 1) the customer value is positively influenced by the service quality; 2) the customer value, in turn, is positively associated with the customer satisfaction; 3) information needs moderate the relationship between service quality and customer value but does not moderate the relationship between the customer value and satisfaction.Our findings propose the importance of the service quality and the effort to maximize the information customer values.

Comparison of RAM Target Value and Operation Data in Air Weapon Systems (야전운용자료를 활용한 항공무기체계의 RAM 목표값 비교분석)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to compare the RAM (reliability, availability and maintainability) value in the acquisition phase with operational period for air weapon systems. The objective is to determine if the value of RAM is sufficient in the field, and look for any difference from the target value to some extent. Methods : For a case study, the ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ training aircraft is selected. Data from the two acquisition sources are utilized. One is the operational data in domestic aircraft through research and development, and the other is the data from imported aircraft. The two different sources were collected independently and distinctly. Results : According to the analysis, the domestic aircraft shows high deviation in RAM value compare to the imported systems. This is due to the effort of continuous reliability improvement. In the aspect of maintainability, the result shows a slight deviation, and the availability meets the requirement. Conclusion : The results of this study can be used in finding a way that can be effectively applied to the sustainability in the weapon system. If the RAM performance is significantly lower than the target value, then it is necessary to improve the design activities so that they can achieve the RAM target value.

  • This study explored the quality of menu and customer value and satisfaction in Italian restaurants. From the result of the research, the menu and the quality of hotel restaurants had an important effect on the customer satisfaction, and the menu and its quality were closely related to each other. Specially, the price of the menu had an effect on the customer satisfaction directly. The customer value has a more direct effect than Italian menu and the importance of the menu perceived by the customers in Italian restaurants had a relatively less effect than the importance of menu information. In the result of the factor analysis, the more the menu was perceived appropriately, the better the customer value was. It was approved that Italian menu had positive (+) influence on the customer satisfaction. The more the quality of Italian cooking was perceived, the higher the customer value was. And the higher the customer value was, the better customer satisfaction was.

  • Recently, mobile internet technologies are enabling the possibility of radically new computing services which can share information and communicate with others on the move. In this situation, prior studies have attempted to identify of what factors make people use mobile internet. However, prior researches focused on investigating the factors affecting users' adoption to Mobile Internet. In order to offer beneficial materials to mobile internet companies, we investigated important factors to increase mobile users' value from the viewpoints of customer. In particular, this study was progressed how characteristics of mobile contents affect users' intrinsic attributes and how perceived users' network effects affect users' value in the mobile computing environments. To empirically test proposed hypotheses, we have analyzed 285 survey data gathering from mobile internet users and verified hypotheses by using SEM (structural equation modeling). Based on the results of this study, we found that content accessibility and content quality have significant impacts on users' intrinsic attributes such as perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. In addition, this study also revealed that perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment were positively related to users' emotional value. Moreover, this study found that perceived users' network effects could affect users' monetary value by mediating expected benefits. Based on our findings, we can understand that this perspective can provide a deeper understanding of the mobile users' value adoption by bridging the gap between mobile internet studies and actual practice.

A Study on the Consumer Use Effect of AR Fashion Retail Technology: Moderating Effect of Technology Readiness (증강현실 패션 소매기술 특성의 소비자 사용효과에 관한 연구: 기술 준비도의 조절효과)

  • This study investigated the influence of the perceived characteristics of AR fashion retail technology on value co-creation and continued use intention. This study also examines the moderating role of technology readiness in the effects of the perceived characteristics of AR fashion retail technology on value co-creation. A total of 241 university students who had experience using AR fashion retail technology completed the questionnaire. The results were as follows. First, there were five factors in the perceived characteristics of AR fashion retail technology: presence, aesthetic attractiveness, ease of use, shopping usefulness, and perceived enjoyment. Second, aesthetic attractiveness, shopping usefulness, and perceived enjoyment had positive impacts on value co-creation. Third, value co-creation had a positive impact on continued use intention of AR retail technology. Fourth, there were significant differences in the effect of aesthetic attractiveness and shopping usefulness on value co-creation by the innovativeness dimension of technology readiness. Fifth, there was a significant difference in the effect of ease of use on value co-creation by the optimism dimension of technology readiness. The results of this study should provide guidance for marketers or retailers interested in the application of AR fashion retail technology in their stores.

The Influence of Consumer's Shopping Value, Brand Awareness and Types of Promotion on Purchase of Bundled Cosmetics (소비자의 쇼핑가치, 브랜드인지도 그리고 다발가격 화장품의 판촉유형이 화장품 구매에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this research were to investigate the influences of shopping value, brand awareness, and the types of sales promotion on the purchase of bundled cosmetics. In experiment, 1) shopping value 2) brand awareness 3) types of sales promotion were manipulated as independent variables, and consumer preference and purchasing intention of bundle of cosmetics were measured as dependent variables. This research was an experimental design which was $2{\times}2{\times}2$ mixed factorial design. For the data analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, three-way ANOVA were used by utilizing SAS program. The main results of the study were summarized as follows: First, the results indicated that the consumer of hedonic shopping value have a positive effect on preferring price-cut sales, especially if brand awareness is high. Second, the consumer of utilitarian shopping value preferred price-cut sales to special offer, irrespective of brand awareness. This result indicates that consumers who gets more involved in and enjoys shopping are likely to have more brand awareness than others. This. seems to be the important characteristics of shopping. Consumer who have utilitarian shopping value concerned in price. The result showed the 3-way interaction effects on the consumer preference of bundle of cosmetics.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of quality of health care on perceived value, patient satisfaction and revisit intention. Especially, it was focused on outdoor environment, admission procedure, hospital image, service quality of physicians that patients perceived. For inpatients, hospital image and service quality of medical technicians have an effect on perceived value. Service quality of physicians has an effect on the patient satisfaction. For outpatients, hospital image and service quality of physicians and medical technicians have an effect on perceived value. Outdoor environment, hospital image, service quality of physicians and medical technicians, and perceived value have an effect on patient satisfaction. Perceived value and patient satisfaction have an effect on revisit intention. They should evaluate customer satisfaction on their services and analyze various factors that affect on it to improve specialty hospitals.
