Basic idea of Randall-Sundrum brane world model I and II is reviewed with detailed calculation. After introducing the brane world metric with exponential warp factor, metrics of Randall-Sundrum models are constructed. We explain how Randall-Sundrum model I with two branes makes the gauge hierarchy problem much milder, and derive Newtonian gravity in Randall-Sundrum model II with a single brane by considering small fluctuations.

This paper investigates the existence of a long-run relationship between world oil price and consumer price index for Korea during 1983~1999. The cointegration and error correction modelling approaches have been applied. Empirical results suggest that there exists a long-run relationship among world oil prices. consumer prices, M2 and a production gap variable. The dynamic behavior of the relationship has been investigated by estimating a error correction model, in which the error correction term have been found significant. The error correction model has also been found to be robust as it satisfy almost all relevant diagnostic tests.

The purpose of this paper is to study on export factor of Korean into China by 31 Province and City. Using the panel data on Korean export factor in China for the years 1998-2005, we examined the factors determinants of import in China(by region)from Korean firms. This study based on Gravity Model to extend and fixed & random effect Model. The result of analysis is as follows : The effect of significant on Import from Korean is FDI from Korea, export into world, import from world, population in region. But per GRDP, consumption, FDI into world variable is statistically insignificant. Also coastal region variable is not a clear.

This paper describes a novel sensor system for 3D world modeling of an autonomous vehicle in large-scale outdoor environments. When an autonomous vehicle performs path planning and path following, well-constructed 3D world model of target environment is very important for analyze the environment and track the determined path. To generate well-construct 3D world model, we develop a novel sensor system. The proposed novel sensor system consists of two 2D laser scanners, two single cameras, a DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) and an IMU (Inertial Measurement System). We verify the effectiveness of the proposed sensor system through experiment in large-scale outdoor environment.

Mixed and augmented reality technique deals with mixing content between real world and virtual world containing augmented reality and augmented virtuality excluding of pure real and pure virtual world. In mixed and augmented reality, if a live actor and entity moving in real world can be embedded more naturally in 3D virtual world, various advanced applications such 3D tele-presence, 3D virtual experience education and etc can be serviced. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a standard model which is supporting to embed the live actor and entity into 3D virtual space, and to interact with each other. And also the natural embedding and interaction of live actor and entity can be performed based on the proposed model.

Postcolonial critics have criticized Comparative Literature for exclusively studying literatures from the non-Western world through Western lenses. In other words, postcolonial criticism asserts that theorists and practitioners of comparative literature have traced the "assistance" of the classic "comparison and contrast" approach to an imperialist discourse, which sustains the superiority of Western cultures and economies. As a countermeasure to reading through the comparative lens, literary theories have offered a "juxtapositional model of comparison" that connects texts across cultures, places, and times. This paper examines practices of Comparative Literature in Vietnam, revealing how the engagement with decolonizing processes leads to a knowledge production that is paradoxically colonial. The paper also analyses implementations of this model in reading select Vietnamese works and highlights how conventional comparisons, largely based on historical influences and reception, maintain the colonial mapping of World Literature, centralizing Western, and more particularly, English Literature and in the process marginalizing the others. Therefore, the practice of juxtaposing Vietnamese literary works with canonical works of the World Literature will provoke dialogues and raise awareness of hitherto marginalized works to an international readership. In this process, the paper considers the contemporary interest of Comparative Literature practice in trans- national, trans-regional, trans-historical, and trans-cultural perspectives.

The improvement in the high-class planning, design, and construction characteristics of new model Cruise Liner has been required. To find design philosophy way to improve the total Cruise, we need a world Cruise Fleet which agrees well with design morphology results. This paper describes the creation of world Cruise Fleet from conceptual design to total Cruise model and procedures to confirm the model with embodiment design test result.

To select potent probiotics from lactic acid bacteria in Yulmoo Kimchi, an in vitro and stimulated human intestinal model system (SHIMS) test were performed. One Leuconostoc mesenteroides strain from five strains of Yulmoo Kimchi and one Lactobacillus plantarum from 12 strains of KCTC and KCCM were selected according to survival in acidic and bile salts conditions. Between the two species, Leu. mesentroides displayed higher survival activity in a SHIMS test. The strain was identified as Leu. mesentroides by 16S rRNA sequencing and was designated as Leu. mesentroides K01.
