  • We present an autonomous distributed manufacturing system to plan the manufacturing process and the schedule based on a customer order, which considers the system efficiency as well as to the flexibly. In our system, an intermediate conceptual agent called process agent is introduced, of which the role is to create a plausible alternative for the working group to fulfill the given order. The process related decision such as process sequence, allocated facilities, schedule and cost is also made simultaneously. Given an order, several these process agents are created, and the optimum on is selected through a bidding mechanism. As a criterion of such a decision-making, we consider a concept of value which is determined by several factors such as cost, delivery, working ratio and so forth. Every agent consisting of the system makes decisions and actions so as to maximize its possessing value, and the overall behavior of the system is controlled by the value distribution.

  • Objective: This study intended to examine whether working mothers' job satisfaction has a moderating effect on the relationship between their parenting stress and second childbearing intention. Methods: The subjects were 202 working mothers in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, all of who had a single child under 36 months old. Working mothers' parenting stress, job satisfaction and second childbearing intention were assessed with questionnaires completed by the mothers. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test, Pearson's correlation, and moderator regression analysis. Results: First, a significant difference was revealed in the mothers' second childbearing intention depending on the type of their child's main caregiver. The second childbearing intention of the mothers who relied on babysitters to care for their children was lower than that of the mothers whose mothers, mother-in-laws or child care teachers cared for their children. Secondly, working mothers' parenting stress and job satisfaction significantly affected their second childbearing intention. Thirdly, the mothers' job satisfaction moderated the relationship between their parenting stress and second childbearing intention. Conclusion/Implications: It is necessary to provide working mothers with social support for enhancing their job satisfaction and alleviating their job stress, in order to increase their second childbearing intention.

  • The actual working time of jobs, in general, is different to the standard time of jobs. In this paper, in order to analyze the actual working time of each job in production, we use the total production amount and the encessary total working time. The method which analyzes the actual working time is as follows. In this paper, we propose the interval regression analysis for obtaining an interval linear regression model with constraint conditions with respect to interval parameters. The merits of this method are the following.1) it is easy to obtain an interval linear model by solving a LP problem to which the formulation of proposed regression analysis is reduced, 2) it is easy to add constraint conditions about interval parameters, which are a sort of expert knowledge. As an application, within a case which has given certain data, the actual working time of jobs and the number of workers in a future plan are estimated through the real data obtianed from the operation of processing line in a heavy industry company. It results from the proposed method that the actual working time and the number of workers can be estimated as intervals by the interval regression model.

  • To find the working condition is one of the important factors in precision machining. In this study, we analyzed maximum working temperature by infra-red camera and surface roughness in side wall end milling using design of experiment (DOE): RSM(response surface methodology), ANOM(analysis of means) and ANOVA(analysis of variance) by table of orthogonal array. ANOM and ANOVA are well adapted to select sensitivity of design variables for maximum working temperature and surface roughness. The effective design variables and their levels should be determined using ANOM, ANOVA. RSM is presented 2nd order approximation polynomial of maximum working temperature and surface roughness is composed with design variables. Therefore, it is expected that the proposed procedure using design of experiment : table of orthogonal array, ANOM, ANOVA and RSM can be easily utilized to solve the problem of working condition.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of role stress perceived by employed housewives working in sales departments, and further, to devise coping strategies that can help reduce stress resulting from their multiple roles The sample of this study consisted of married women who were working in sales departments, who have at least one child, and who live in the greater Seoul metropolitan area. A total of 343 out of 450 originally distributed questionnaires were used for the analysis in this study. The findings of the study are: 1 The housewives in sales departments felt stress most severely in their role as a mother. Next were the roles as a wife, housewife, daughter, daughter-in-law, and working woman, in that order. 2. It appeared that age and the motive for employment affected the overall level of role stress among housewives. The two variables (age and the motive for employment) explained about 23% of the variance. The younger they were the higher was the level of role stress. Also, if they were working for an economic reason (to support the family), they tended to be more stressed out. The results of this study could be utilized as baseline data for policy-making, consultation, and development of educational programs for housewives working in sales departments, an area that has hardly been explored.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of implementing the HACCP system on foodservice establishments. At first, the hygienic conditions were measured by microbiological hazard analyses of the cooking utensils and working areas. In order to solve the detected problems, the HACCP system was implemented, after what was considered a sufficient settlement period following the initial assessment, then microbiological verification was performed again. In relation to the cooking utensils and equipment(kitchen knives, cutting boards, knives for shredding vegetables, refrigerators, baskets, barts, working tables, preparation tables, tungs, dish-clothes and drains) the microbiological inspection on the Total Plate Count, Coliforms, Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes, were conducted with regard to the working areas(working tables, preparation tables, seasoning's shelves, serving tables, drinking water tables, refrigerators, storage rooms and dining tables), the Total Plate Count and Fungi were also examined. According to the microbiological hazard analyses there were many problems, especially with cutting boards, baskets, barts, dish-clothes and sinkballs. However, by introducing the HACCP system, the microbiological hazard levels were able to be controlled and lowered, and the total aerial bacteria in the working areas of the foodservice establishments were detected at levels below 6 CFU/plate.

  • This study was conducted in order to investigate the role of working memory in word recognition. As a preliminary step in tackling this topic, word frequency and working memory load were manipulated in a naming task. The results showed that word frequency is significantly involved with the working memory load. The effects of working memory load were greater in low-frequency word processing than in high-frequency word processing. These results indicat that working memory is involved more in the processing of low-frequency words. The implications for the teaching of children at the early reading acquisition stage are discussed in this paper.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate empirically whether the expected effects of smart work in organizations were different between job types and positions. The development of information technology is demanding innovation of working style within the enterprise. There is a tendency to prefer the face-to-face working style in traditional organizations in the case of some positions or job types. However, many companies are carrying out smart work such as teleworking or telecommuting, flexible working time. But many companies still stick to their existing working methods. There is also the causal relationship between accepting attitudes toward smart work and expectation effects, depending on the position and the job types, even within the same organization. As a result of research, causal relationship analysis showed that the significant factors affecting productivity were teleworking and increasing work efficiency. The national social cost savings were influenced by the improvement of quality of life and flexible working hours. In order to activate communication within the organization, there was a positive effect on the increase of work efficiency. Only flexible working hours between the general manager and subordinates showed a significant difference.
