Al 하부전극을 이용한 AlN 박막의 제작 (Preparation the AlN thin films with the Al bottom electrode)

  • In this study AlN/Al thin films were prepared at various conditions, such as $N_2$ gas flow rate $[N_2/(N_2+Ar)]$ from 0.6 to 0.9, a substrate temperature ranging from room temperature to $300^{\circ}C$ and working pressure 1mTorr. We estimated crystallographic characteristics and c-axis preferred orientations of AlN/Al thin films as function of Al electrode surface roughfness. The optimal processing conditions for Al electrode were found at substrate temperature of $300^{\circ}C$, sputtering power of 100W and a working pressure of 2mTorr. In these conditions, we obtained the c-axis preferred orientation of $AlN/Al/SiO_2/Si$ thin film about 4 degree.

Effect of Low Intensity Pulsed Electric Field on Ethanol Fermentation and Chemical Component Variation in a Winemaking Culture

  • Electric polarity of working electrode and counter electrode was periodically switched at the intervals of 30 sec. Electric current generated by anodic and cathodic reaction of working electrode was reached to +30 and -12 mA in low intensity pulsed electric field (LIPEF). The yeast growth, ethanol production, and malate consumption in the initial cultivation time were more activated in the LIPEF than the conventional condition (CC). Polyphenol, total phenolic contents (TPC), and total flavonols (TF) were gradually decreased in all cultivation conditions during incubation for 2 weeks but antioxidation activity was not. TF was significantly lower in 3 and 4 V of LIPEF than CC and 2 V of LIPEF; however, the polyphenol, TPC, and antioxidation activity were a little influenced by the LIPEF. After ripening of the winemaking culture for 15 days, polyphenol, TPC, and TF were a little increased but the antioxidation activity was not.

수은 막전극을 이용한 수용액 중 과염소산이온의 전기화학적 환원 (Electrochemical Reduction of Perchlorate Using Mercury Film Electrode)

  • 과염소산이온의 전기화학적 분해에 관한 연구가 진행되었다. 전기화학적 방법은 비교적 단순한 전처리 방법으로 가능하다. 하지만 전기화학적 방법은 과염소산이온이 분해되는 전압을 가해주었을 때 수소발생으로 인한 방해가 발생하기 때문에 사용하는 전극의 수소 과전압이 큰 것을 사용하여 수소발생을 줄이는 것이 요구되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 수소 과전압이 큰 수은박막전극을 작업 전극으로 사용하였다. Ag / AgCl (sat. NaCl) 전극을 기준전극으로 사용하였으며 Pt를 상대전극으로 사용하였다. 수은박막전극은 순환 전압-전류법(Cyclic voltammetry, CV)으로 제작하였는데 과염소산 용액에서의 CV를 고려하여 수은박막전극의 안정성을 위해 10분 동안 전착시켰다. 과염소산이온의 환원전위는 CV 방법에 의해 설정되었고, 분해실험은 시간대 전류법 (Chronoamperometry, CA)로 시행하였다. 과염소산이온의 분해율 확인을 위해 이온 크로마토그래피(Ion chromatography, IC)를 사용하였다.

  • Levodopa or L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) is the direct precursor of the neurotransmitter dopamine. L-DOPA is a well-known neuroprotective agent for the treatment of Parkinson's disease symptoms. L-DOPA was synthesized using the enzyme, tyrosinase, as a biocatalyst for the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-DOPA and an electrochemical method for reducing L-DOPAquinone, the product resulting from enzymatic synthesis, to L-DOPA. In this study, three electrode systems were used: A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) as working electrode, a platinum, and a Ag/AgCl electrode as auxiliary and reference electrodes, respectively. GCE has been modified using electropolymerization of pyrrole to facilitate the electron transfer process and immobilize tyrosinase. Optimum conditions for the electropolymerization modified electrode were a temperature of $30^{\circ}C$ and a pH of 7 producing L-DOPA concentration 0.315 mM. After 40 days, the relative activity of an enzyme for electropolymerization remained 38.6%, respectively.

X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy of a Poly Sodium 4-Styrensulfonate Intercalated Graphite Oxide Electrode

  • We investigated the electronic structures of a poly sodium 4-styrensulfonate intercalated graphite oxide (PSSGO) electrode and a precursor graphite oxide (GO) electrode using X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). Both electrodes were obtained from electrochemical cells. We found that in the C K-edge XAS spectra the ${\pi}^*$ state intensity originating from the sp2 hybridization of graphite decreases predominantly in the graphite oxide and PSSGO electrodes. This indicates that the negatively charged electrolyte ion (BF4-) is absorbed onto the electrodes and is transferred to the ${\pi}^*$ state of the both electrodes. The analysis of their F K-edge spectra reveals that more BF4- ions were found in the PSSGO electrode than in the graphite oxide electrode. This indicates that more electrolyte ions are absorbed in the PSSGO than in the graphite oxide electrode. We argue that this is the main reason why PSSGO cells have higher capacitance, higher energy density, and higher power density when compared to the graphite oxide cells. We also found that BF4- is the primary working ion that can be inserted into the interlayers of the PSSGO electrode.

  • The Paper discussed the effects of working electric current and pulse when using super hardend alloy drill as corona electrode. The discharge effect can be obtained very precisely in the ranges of 1A - 2A in working current. $12{\mu}s-14{\mu}s$ in dis charge pulse on time width and $8{\mu}s-10{\mu}s$ in discharge pulse off time.

스퍼터링법을 이용한 OLED용 Al 음전극 제작 (Preparation of Al Cathode for OLED by Sputtering Method)

  • Al electrode for OLED was deposited by FTS (Facing Targets Sputtering) system which can deposit thin films with low substrate damage. The Al thin films were deposited on the cell (LiF/EML/HTL/Bottom electrode) as a function of working gas such as Ar or Ar+kr mixed gas. Also Al thin films were prepared with working gas pressure (1, 6 mTorr). The film thickness and I-V curve of Al/cell were measured and evaluated. In the results, when Al thin films were deposited using pure Ar gas, the turn-on voltage of Al/cell was about 11 V. And using the Ar:Kr($75\%:25\%$) mixed gas, the turn-on voltage of Al/cell decreased to about 7 V.

Voltammetric Assay of Silver Ions in Frog's Tissue

  • The electrochemical analysis of silver ion was performed using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square-wave (SW) stripping voltammetry, and electrode cell systems were fabricated with graphite pencil electrode (GE) of working, reference and counter electrodes. Also electrolyte was the use of sea water as electrolyte solutions instead of ionic controlled solutions. The optimum analytical conditions for the cyclic and stripping parameters were determined using GE. The results approached the microgram working ranges of SW(ug/L) and CV(ug/L) Ag, and the optimum conditions were applied to frog's tissue and the food samples.

Simultaneous Diagnostic Assay of Catechol and Caffeine Using an in vivo Implanted Neuro Sensor

  • Catechol and caffeine were simultaneously analyzed with a bismuth-immobilized carbon nanotube paste electrode (BPE) using square wave (SW) stripping voltammetry. Optimum analytical conditions were determined. Simultaneous working ranges of 100-1,500 $mgL^{-1}$ for caffeine and 5-75 $mgL^{-1}$ for catechol were obtained. In the separated cell systems, a working range of 0.1-2.1 $mgL^{-1}$ catechol with a correlation coefficient of 0.9935, and a working range of 10-210 $mgL^{-1}$ caffeine with a correlation coefficient of 0.9921 were obtained. A detection limit (S/N) of 0.15 $mgL^{-1}$ (7.7 ${\times}$ $10^{-7}$ M) and a detection limit of 0.02 $mgL^{-1}$ (1.82 ${\times}$ $10^{-7}$ M), respectively, manifested for catechol and caffeine. It was found that three macro-type electrode systems could be implanted in fish and rat neuro cells. For both ions, the ion currents were observed. The physiological impulse conditions and the neuronal thinking current were also obtained.
