The Implementation of BPEL based Workflow Management System in Manufacturing System Automation (제조시스템자동화에 있어서 BPEL 기반 워크플로우 관리시스템의 적용)

  • This paper outlines opportunities and challenges in the Implementation of BPEL based WFMS(Work Flow Management System) for the MES(Manufacturing Execution Systems) level in semiconductor manufacturing. At present, the most MES that are composed of several hundreds of applications in semiconductor wafer fabrication shop have the same problems as others about flexibility and adaptability. When a plant has to produce new product mix, remodel the manufacturing execution process, or replace obsolete equipments, the principal road blocks for responding to new manufacturing environment are inflexible communication infrastructure among the manufacturing process components and the difficulty in porting existing application software to new configurations. In this paper, the issues about BPEL standard, used for the flexibility of Workflow Management System, are presented. We introduce the integrated development framework named nanoFlow which is optimized for developing the BPEL based WFMS application for automated manufacturing system. We describe a WFMS implemented with using nanoFlow framework, review and evaluate the system in terms of flexibility and adaptability.

The effects of Family and Employment Characteristics on the Psychological Well-being of Men in the Early/Middle Adulthood (가족 및 직업 특성이 중.장년기 남성의 심리적 복지감에 미치는영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of family and employment characteristics on the psychological well-being of Korean men in their early/middle adulthood. For this purpose total-sample of 415 married white collar male workers in Seoul were selected. Major findings were as follows; First There was no significant difference between early adulthood and middle adulthood in the level of psychological well-being of married male workers. Second marital satisfaction parental role satisfaction and th employment rate of their spouses were higher among men in the early adulthood whereas the rate of specialized and managerial jobs and job flexibility were higher among men in the middle adulthood. Third parental status parental role satisfaction work flexibility job security and job satisfaction significantly affected the psychological well-being in the early adulthood whereas parental status parental role satisfaction the quality of relationship with colleagues and job s tisfaction had significant effects on it in the middle adulthood.

  • Computer simulation technique has been applied on the various engineering fields to reduce cost and development period. On this paper, we introduce a crane analysis program. Using this program, we can predict reaction force of each part or supporting force of truck crane on a personal computer system with out exclusive knowledge of multi-body dynamics. In order to consider the effect of boom flexibility according to each working condition, flexible dynamic theory is applied to the program. Actual crane model is analyzed on special work condition using this program and the results are compared with those of rigid boom model.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a practical image inspection system that could recognize it correctly, endowing flexibility to the productive field, although the same object for work will be changed in the size and rotated. In this experiment, it selected a fighter, rotating the direction from $30^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$ simultaneously while changing the size from 1/4 to 1/16, as an object inspection without using another hardware for exclusive image processing. The invariant moments, Hu has suggested, was used as feature vector moment descriptor. As a result of the experiment, the image inspection system developed from this research was operated in real-time regardless of the chance of size and rotation for the object inspection, and it maintained the correspondent rates steadily above from 94% to 96%. Accordingly, it is considered as the flexibility can be considerably endowed to the factory automation when the image inspection system developed from this research is applied to the productive field.

  • This work is concerned with the investigation of end effects of a cylinder on a structure where a circular plate is attached to a solid circular cylinder. Three-dimensional elasticity solutions are used in a cylinder whereas the classical thin plate theory is employed for a plate. The end effect of the cylinder on the flexibility and the structural response is demonstrated by several numerical examples.

  • Office interior design is based on the understanding of diversity information about working program, organization and networking system of the company. To build a good working environment, flexibility of space and communication between employees and employer in the office are very important. Due to the business growth, the "N" company requires more working space and this project is basically initiated to relocate in new working environment. This work pursues the clients can enhance more creativity and productivity in their working area. In order to promote the efficiency and comfort of the working environment, diverse employee's working characteristic, individual and collective requirements have been observed. The basic concept of the design can be summarized in the following : youth, simplicity, modern and nature.

  • Today's fierce competition and global economic recession make most of manufacturing companies in the world difficult to gain a profit. In order to survive such a environment and increase competitiveness, manufacturing companies have to continuously eliminate their wasteful factors through an efficient process analysis, improve quality of products, increase the flexibility of manufacturing processes. In this paper, we consider a case study for the Shanghai New Auto which is a subcontractor of MOBIS in China, to improve productivity by using therblig method, one of the motion analysis, to minimize the work-in-process inventories and to shorten the manufacturing cycle times. We also try to relocate the facility layout to increase the efficiency and flexibility of manufacturing processes.

Energy-Efficient and High Performance CGRA-based Multi-Core Architecture

  • Coarse-grained reconfigurable architecture (CGRA)-based multi-core architecture aims at achieving high performance by kernel level parallelism (KLP). However, the existing CGRA-based multi-core architectures suffer from much energy and performance bottleneck when trying to exploit the KLP because of poor resource utilization caused by insufficient flexibility. In this work, we propose a new ring-based sharing fabric (RSF) to boost their flexibility level for the efficient resource utilization focusing on the kernel-stream type of the KLP. In addition, based on the RSF, we introduce a novel inter-CGRA reconfiguration technique for the efficient pipelining of kernel-stream on CGRA-based multi-core architectures. Experimental results show that the proposed approaches improve performance by up to 50.62 times and reduce energy by up to 50.16% when compared with the conventional CGRA-based multi-core architectures.

  • Fashion has been compared to art since Japanese avant-garde fashion designers expanded the thoughts about conceptual fashion in late 1970s. The fashion designers focused on the materiality of fashion textiles by placing more importance on it than the shapes. This bears a striking resemblance to contemporary art of 1960s and 1970s as many artists used soft materials like felt, fabric, rubber to emphasize themselves. This study establishes the materiality of fabric, which can be found in both contemporary art and fashion. The classification of materiality consists of flexibility, humanizing and temporality. In this work, there is a significant disparity between contemporary art and fashion.
