As opinion mining in big data applications has been highlighted, a lot of research on unstructured data has made. Lots of social media on the Internet generate unstructured or semi-structured data every second and they are often made by natural or human languages we use in daily life. Many words in human languages have multiple meanings or senses. In this result, it is very difficult for computers to extract useful information from these datasets. Traditional web search engines are usually based on keyword search, resulting in incorrect search results which are far from users' intentions. Even though a lot of progress in enhancing the performance of search engines has made over the last years in order to provide users with appropriate results, there is still so much to improve it. Word sense disambiguation can play a very important role in dealing with natural language processing and is considered as one of the most difficult problems in this area. Major approaches to word sense disambiguation can be classified as knowledge-base, supervised corpus-based, and unsupervised corpus-based approaches. This paper presents a method which automatically generates a corpus for word sense disambiguation by taking advantage of examples in existing dictionaries and avoids expensive sense tagging processes. It experiments the effectiveness of the method based on Naïve Bayes Model, which is one of supervised learning algorithms, by using Korean standard unabridged dictionary and Sejong Corpus. Korean standard unabridged dictionary has approximately 57,000 sentences. Sejong Corpus has about 790,000 sentences tagged with part-of-speech and senses all together. For the experiment of this study, Korean standard unabridged dictionary and Sejong Corpus were experimented as a combination and separate entities using cross validation. Only nouns, target subjects in word sense disambiguation, were selected. 93,522 word senses among 265,655 nouns and 56,914 sentences from related proverbs and examples were additionally combined in the corpus. Sejong Corpus was easily merged with Korean standard unabridged dictionary because Sejong Corpus was tagged based on sense indices defined by Korean standard unabridged dictionary. Sense vectors were formed after the merged corpus was created. Terms used in creating sense vectors were added in the named entity dictionary of Korean morphological analyzer. By using the extended named entity dictionary, term vectors were extracted from the input sentences and then term vectors for the sentences were created. Given the extracted term vector and the sense vector model made during the pre-processing stage, the sense-tagged terms were determined by the vector space model based word sense disambiguation. In addition, this study shows the effectiveness of merged corpus from examples in Korean standard unabridged dictionary and Sejong Corpus. The experiment shows the better results in precision and recall are found with the merged corpus. This study suggests it can practically enhance the performance of internet search engines and help us to understand more accurate meaning of a sentence in natural language processing pertinent to search engines, opinion mining, and text mining. Naïve Bayes classifier used in this study represents a supervised learning algorithm and uses Bayes theorem. Naïve Bayes classifier has an assumption that all senses are independent. Even though the assumption of Naïve Bayes classifier is not realistic and ignores the correlation between attributes, Naïve Bayes classifier is widely used because of its simplicity and in practice it is known to be very effective in many applications such as text classification and medical diagnosis. However, further research need to be carried out to consider all possible combinations and/or partial combinations of all senses in a sentence. Also, the effectiveness of word sense disambiguation may be improved if rhetorical structures or morphological dependencies between words are analyzed through syntactic analysis.
In this paper, to build a parallel corpus between Korean and English in Wikipedia. We proposed a method to find similar sentences based on language resources and topic modeling. We first applied language resources(Wiki-dictionary, numbers, and online dictionary in Daum) to match word sequentially. We construct the Wiki-dictionary using titles in Wikipedia. In order to take advantages of the Wikipedia, we used translation probability in the Wiki-dictionary for word matching. In addition, we improved the accuracy of sentence similarity measuring method by using word distribution based on topic modeling. In the experiment, a previous study showed 48.4% of F1-score with only language resources based on linear combination and 51.6% with the topic modeling considering entire word distributions additionally. However, our proposed methods with sequential matching added translation probability to language resources and achieved 9.9% (58.3%) better result than the previous study. When using the proposed sequential matching method of language resources and topic modeling after considering important word distributions, the proposed system achieved 7.5%(59.1%) better than the previous study.
In this paper, we propose a stochastic model for sentence speech understanding using dictionary and thesaurus. The proposed model extracts words from an input speech or text into a sentence. A computer is sellected category of dictionary database compared the word extracting from the input sentence calculating a probability value to the compare results from stochastic model. At this time, computer read out upper dictionary information from the upper dictionary searching and extracting word compared input sentence caluclating value to the compare results from stochastic model. We compare adding the first and second probability value from the dictionary searching and the upper dictionary searching with threshold probability that we measure the sentence understanding rate. We evaluated the performance of the sentence speech understanding system by applying twenty questions game. As the experiment results, we got sentence speech understanding accuracy of 79.8%. In this case, probability ($\alpha$) of high level word is 0.9 and threshold probability ($\beta$) is 0.38.

In this paper, we propose a method of automatically constructing a dictionary by extracting unknown words from given eojeols in order to improve the performance of a Korean morphological analyzer. The proposed method is composed of a dictionary construction phase based on full text analysis and a dictionary construction phase based on web document frequency. The first phase recognizes unknown words from strings repeatedly occurred in a given full text while the second phase recognizes unknown words based on frequency of retrieving each string, once occurred in the text, from web documents. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves 32.39% recall by utilizing web document frequency compared with a previous method.

In this paper, we will to check and to correct mis-recognized word using Eojeol information. First, we divided into 16 classes that constituents in a Eojeol after we analyzed Korean statement into Eojeol units. Eojeol-Constituent state diagram constructed these constitutents, find the Left-Right Connectivity Information. As analogized the speech of connectivity information, reduced the number of cadidate words and restricted case of morphological analysis for mis-recognition Eojeol. Then, we improved correction speed uisng heuristic information as the adjacency information for Eojeol each other. In the correction phase, construct Reverse-Order Word Dictionary. Using this, we can trace word dictionary regardless of mis-recongnition word position. Its results show that improvement of recognition rate from 97.03% to 98.02% and check rate, reduction of chadidata words and morpholgical analysis cases.
The goal of Natural Language Processing(NLP) is to make a computer understand a natural language and to deliver the meanings of natural language to humans. Word sense Disambiguation(WSD is a very important technology to achieve the goal of NLP. In this paper, we describe a technology for automatic homonyms disambiguation using both Mutual Information(MI) and a Sense-Tagged Compound Noun Dictionary. Previous research work using word definitions in dictionary suffered from the problem of data sparseness because of the use of exact word matching. Our work overcomes this problem by using MI which is an association measure between words. To reflect language features, the rate of word-pairs with MI values, sense frequency and site of word definitions are used as weights in our system. We constructed a Sense-Tagged Compound Noun Dictionary for high frequency compound nouns and used it to resolve homonym sense disambiguation. Experimental data for testing and evaluating our system is constructed from QA(Question Answering) test data which consisted of about 200 query sentences and answer paragraphs. We performed 4 types of experiments. In case of being used only MI, the result of experiment showed a precision of 65.06%. When we used the weighted values, we achieved a precision of 85.35% and when we used the Sense-Tagged Compound Noun Dictionary, we achieved a precision of 88.82%, respectively.
In this paper, we propose an improved MLP-based English pronunciation dictionary generator to apply to the variable vocabulary word recognizer. The variable vocabulary word recognizer can process any words specified in Korean word lexicon dynamically determined according to the current recognition task. To extend the ability of the system to task for English words, it is necessary to build a pronunciation dictionary generator to be able to process words not included in a predefined lexicon, such as proper nouns. In order to build the English pronunciation dictionary generator, we use context-dependent grapheme-to-phoneme multi-layer perceptron(MLP) architecture for each grapheme. To train each MLP, it is necessary to obtain grapheme-to-phoneme training data from general pronunciation dictionary. To automate the process, we use dynamic programming(DP) algorithm with some distance metrics. For training and testing the grapheme-to-phoneme MLPs, we use general English pronunciation dictionary with about 110 thousand words. With 26 MLPs each having 30 to 50 hidden nodes and the exception grapheme lexicon, we obtained the word accuracy of 72.8% for the 110 thousand words superior to rule-based method showing the word accuracy of 24.0%.
Purpose The research was studied the hierarchical Hangul emotion index by organizing all the emotions which SNS users are thinking. As a preliminary study by the researcher, the English-based Plutchick (1980)'s emotional standard was reinterpreted in Korean, and a hashtag with implicit meaning on SNS was studied. To build a multidimensional emotion dictionary and classify three-dimensional emotions, an emotion seed was selected for the composition of seven emotion sets, and an emotion word dictionary was constructed by collecting SNS hashtags derived from each emotion seed. We also want to explore the priority of each Hangul emotion index. Design/methodology/approach In the process of transforming the matrix through the vector process of words constituting the sentence, weights were extracted using TF-IDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency), and the dimension reduction technique of the matrix in the emotion set was NMF (Nonnegative Matrix Factorization) algorithm. The emotional dimension was solved by using the characteristic value of the emotional word. The cosine distance algorithm was used to measure the distance between vectors by measuring the similarity of emotion words in the emotion set. Findings Customer needs analysis is a force to read changes in emotions, and Korean emotion word research is the customer's needs. In addition, the ranking of the emotion words within the emotion set will be a special criterion for reading the depth of the emotion. The sentiment index study of this research believes that by providing companies with effective information for emotional marketing, new business opportunities will be expanded and valued. In addition, if the emotion dictionary is eventually connected to the emotional DNA of the product, it will be possible to define the "emotional DNA", which is a set of emotions that the product should have.
This paper presents the part-of-speech set which is highly efficient at knowledge-based word sense disambiguation for Korean nouns. 174,000 sentences extracted for test set from Sejong semantic tagged corpus whose sense is based on Standard korean dictionary. We disambiguate selected nouns in test set using glosses and examples in Standard Korean dictionary. 15 part-of-speeches which give the best performance for all test set and 17 part-of-speeches which give the best performance for accuracy average of selected nouns are selected. We obtain 12% more performance by those part-of-speech sets than by full 45 part-of-speech set.
Word representation, an important area in natural language processing(NLP) used machine learning, is a method that represents a word not by text but by distinguishable symbol. Existing word embedding employed a large number of corpora to ensure that words are positioned nearby within text. However corpus-based word embedding needs several corpora because of the frequency of word occurrence and increased number of words. In this paper word embedding is done using dictionary definitions and semantic relationship information(hypernyms and antonyms). Words are trained using the feature mirror model(FMM), a modified Skip-Gram(Word2Vec). Sense similar words have similar vector. Furthermore, it was possible to distinguish vectors of antonym words.
