태풍 이동시 한반도 해역별 수온 변동 분석 (Analysis of Water Temperature Variations in Coastal Waters of the Korean Peninsula during Typhoon Movement)

  • 본 연구는 8월에 한반도를 우회하며 동해상으로 빠져나간 2018년 제 19호 태풍 Soulik과 서해상으로 북진하여 통과한 2020년 제 8호 태풍 Bavi을 통해 태풍 유입 전 후에 따른 한반도 해역별 수온 변동성을 분석하였다. 분석자료는 국립수산과학원 실시간 수온 자료와 수온관측소 근처 AWS의 바람자료 및 NOAA/AVHRR 위성 수온자료를 활용하였다. 분석 결과 이동경로가 다른 태풍이 한반도를 통과할때 동해에서는 풍속과 풍향에 따라 수온의 상승(북풍)과 하강(남풍)이 반복적으로 발생하였는데 특히 태풍 Soulik 유입 시 10 ℃ 안팎의 급격한 수온 하강을 보였다. 서해는 태풍 Bavi의 중심부가 통과되면서 서해 일부 해역에서 수온이 상승되었고, 차가운 물덩어리가 존재했던 남해 일부 해역에서도 태풍 Bavi의 이동으로 따뜻한 수온이 유입되어 평년 수온으로 회복된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 태풍 유입시 서해와 남해는 지형적·환경적 조건으로 인해 각 해역별 특성에 맞게 수온 변동이 다르게 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 태풍으로 인한 한반도 해역별 수온 변동을 해석함으로써 이상기후에 따른 양식 생물의 부정적인 영향을 최소화하고 해역별 수산재해의 피해대응 전략을 수립하는데 기여할 것으로 사료된다.

부산지역의 하계 도시열환경의 특성에 관한 연구 (Study of Summer Season High Temperature Events in Busan)

  • The frequency of tropical nights and tropical days in Busan during summer season (June-August) from 1995 to 2004 were investigated. When air temperature higher than $25^{\circ}C$ continuously maintains at night in summer, it is called the occurrence of tropical night. Tropical day is defined that maximum air temperature is higher than $30^{\circ}C$, In Jin-Gu and Daeyeon-dong shows a lot of frequency of tropical day and tropical night because there were located in downtown. Relatively, the areas where are located in seaside and riverside show very low frequency. This can be explained the cooling effects of sea and river. The main meteorological characteristics during tropical nights and tropical days is proved pattern of reverse tendency through wind rose. We analyzed heat index and discomfort index during tropical night and tropical day. This study is useful to understand the aspect of urban thermal environment but need some more observation to quantify.

지난 10년간 대청도 옥죽동 사구의 지형 변화 (Geomorphological Changes of the Okjukdong Dunefield Over the Last Decade)

  • The geomorphological changes of an unvegetated part of the Okjukdong coastal dune were analyzed between 2008 and 2018. Its natural landscape has been destroyed after artificial forestation, but there is no quantitative evidence on these changes. In this study, we measured the unvegetated area using a total station and a network RTK-GPS in 2008, 2014, and 2018. Using Krging method for the three point data sets, we constructed digital elevation models (DEMs) and analyzed topographic changes between the three years. The results showed that the sand of the study area decreased in volume from 2008 to 2014, because sand supply from the nearby beach was blocked by coastal forests. The sand volume temporarily increased from 2014 to 2018, because of the dune nourishment conducted in 2017. It seems that the upper part of the sand dune has shrunk, but the sand at the bottom has increased over the last decade.

중풍초기환자의 설상(舌象) 분포와 변증의 유용성에 관한 임상고찰 (The Characteristics of Tongue Inspection and Relationship between Tongue Inspection and Differenitiation of Syndrome)

  • To assess the usefulness of tongue inspection for evaluating the Pattern identification in oriental medicine, we observed stroke patient's tongue and tongue coat and compared it with Pattern identification. The test group was composed of 85 acute stroke stage patients(within 72 hours of onset). Subjects were randomly selected from stroke patients admitted in the KyungHee University, Hospital of Oriental Medicine from December 1 1998 to June 30 1999. We took pictures of patient's tongue and tongue coat within 72hours from onset and checked Pattern identification at the same time. Tongues colored pale rose or red greatly outnumbered other colors. Tongue shape tended to be prickly or fissured, and tongue condition tended to be unflexible or deviated. Regarding tongue coat color, there were great amounts of yellow or clark yellow tongue coats, which were moist, thick or greasy in substance. The red tongue was significantly related to Fire-heat and deficiency of Yin syndrome, while faint white tongue to Damp syndrome(P=0.006). In terms of tongue coat, thin coat was related to Wind and Fire-heat syndromes, thick coat to Damp and Blood stasis syndrome, respectively (P=0.002). In conclusion, we thought that tongue inspection could be a useful Oriental medicine diagnosis in stroke.

열사이폰관형 태양열집열기를 주열원으로 하는 하이브리드 난방시스템 성능 평가 (Evaluation on Performance of Hybrid Heating System with Solar Collector of Thermosyphon Tube Type)

  • 지열, 풍력, 태양열에너지 등과 같은 신재생에너지 분야에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있으나 전체 에너지 중에서 차지하는 비율은 아직 미미하다. 본 논문은 주열원인 열사이폰관형 태양열집열기와 보조열원인 X-L 파이프 보일러장치를 서로 결합한 하이브리드 난방시스템에 관한 연구이다. 특히 새로운 형태의 열사이폰관형 태양열집열기에 관한 성능 평가와 함께 보조열원장치의 성능 및 안전성에 대해 조사하였다. 그 결과, 열사이폰관형 태양열집열기는 이중관형 태양열집열기보다 집열효율이 그 구조적 특성 때문에 최대 20.7% 더 증가하였다. 또한 보조열원장치의 X-L 파이프 내 특수열매체는 순수 물보다 약 20% 더 빠르게 온도가 상승하였으며, X-L 파이프 보일러는 안정성 때문에 팽창압력 해소장치가 필요함을 확인하였다.

PCBs의 광화학적 연구: NaOH 및 휴믹산 (humic acid, HA)에 의한 분해특성 (Effects of NaOH and Humic Acid on the UV Photolysis of PCBs)

  • Objectives: This study was carried out to examine whether the apparent photolysis with or without sensitizers [NaOH and humic acid (HA)] was prompted photodegradation of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) in aqueous solution. Methods: PCBs photodegradation occurred using fluorescence black lamps at ${\lambda}_{max}=300nm$. PCB congeners were exposed in 10 ppm HA or 0.05N NaOH solutions, to investigate the decreasing profile of PCB concentration with time. The PCBs were then analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Reductive degradation profile of PCB congeners in the presence of both sensitizers under oxygen-saturated protic conditions was described using the wind-rose diagrams. Results: Use of HA or NaOH decreased PCB concentration with time in the dark and on irradiation, indicating that photolysis underwent through reductive dechlorination through energy transfer and possibly with reactive oxygens. The dechlorination was marked by a chromatographic shift, observed in the GC-MS plots. Therefore it is logical to assume that increasing the dose of sensitizers would increase the photodegradation rates of PCBs. The half-lives of pentachloro-PCB (penta-3) in 0.05N NaOH and 10 ppm HA were estimated at about 47 hours and 39 hours, respectively, under the same experimental conditions of photolysis. It was found that the rate of photolysis of pentachloro-PCB in aqueous solution followed apparent first-order kinetics compared to other congeners. Conclusion: Photochemical degradation (using 328 nm UV light) of penta- and hexa-PCBs in HA or alkaline solution is a viable method for pretreatment method. The results are helpful for the further comprehension of the reaction mechanism for photolytic dechlorination of PCBs in aquatic system.

  • As the instability of oil prices rose because of the situation in Libya, oil prices worldwide recorded the highest level due to the interference in supply. And so, in the 21st century, increasing efforts are being made to use clean new renewable energy centered on solar energy in accommodation of the cycle of nature instead of being reliant on the oil exporting nations. In order to reduce city energy internationally, the implementation of a low carbon city under the combined cooperation of industrial. construction, new renewable energy and transportation sectors with continuous development centered on low carbon green urban planning is now becoming established as the paradigm of the times. Recently, the government has begun carrying out the One Million Green Home Project, which is a project where the government with the goal of providing one million renewable energy homes by 2020 gives renewable energy subsidization for a partial amount of the standard unit price of installation when solar ray, solar heat, geothermal heat, small wind power or fuel cell energy is used. Thus, through this thesis which studies the state of and surveys the green village at Shingok-ri Songhak-myun Jaecheon-shi, it is the desire that the One Million Green Homes Project will be more efficiently developed and plans for improvement formed so that a high level of satisfaction in the product will be provided.

태양열과 지열을 이용한 난방용 공기순환시스템 기초연구 - 태양열을 이용한 트롬월식의 축열성능 중심으로 - (A Basic Study on the Air Circulation System for Heating using Solar and Geothermal Heat - Focused on Trombe Wall Thermal Storage Performance using Solar Heat -)

  • Each country in the world currently concentrates on shifting into clean energy, which can be alternative energy, for global environment protection and solution to the problem of fossil fuel depletion. The Korean government is predicted to develop renewable energy, such as solar power, ground power, and offshore wind power, and to increase their supply ratios by ending the use of coals and nuclear power plants. This study conducted experiments on thermal storage performance of Trombe wall thermal storage materials using solar power and simulations in order to offer baseline data for the development of a hybrid air circulation system for heating that can maximize efficiency by simultaneously using solar and geothermal power. The study results are as follows: (1) In all the specimens with 3m, 5m, and 7m in the length of thermal storage pipe, $5.7^{\circ}C$, $7.8^{\circ}C$, and $10.5^{\circ}C$ rose, respectively, as the thermal storage effect of the specimens attaching insulation film and black tape to the general funnel. They were most excellent in terms of thermal storage effect. (2) As a result of thermal performance evaluation on the II type specimens, II-3 ($7.8^{\circ}C$ rise) > II-4 ($5.3^{\circ}C$ rise) > II-1 ($3.9^{\circ}C$ rise) > II-2 ($2.3^{\circ}C$ rise) was revealed, and thus II-3 (insulation film + black tape) was most effective as shown in the I type. (3) This study analyzed air current and temperature distribution inside of the greenhouse by linking actually measured values and simulation interpretation results through the interpretation of CFD (computational fluid dynamics). As a result, the parts absorbing heat and discharging heat around the thermal storage pipe could be visibly classified, and temperature distribution inside of the greenhouse around the thermal storage pipe could be figured out.

Climate Warming and Occupational Heat and Hot Environment Standards in Thailand

  • Background: During the period 2001 to 2016, the maximum temperatures in Thailand rose from 38-41℃ to 42-44℃. The current occupational heat exposure standard of Thailand issued in 2006 is based on wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) defined for three workload levels without a work-rest regimen. This study examined whether the present standard still protects most workers. Methods: The sample comprised 168 heat acclimatized workers (90 in construction sites, 78 in foundries). Heart rate and auditory canal temperature were recorded continuously for 2 hours. Workplace WBGT, relative humidity, and wind velocity were monitored, and the participants' workloads were estimated. Heat-related symptoms and signs were collected by a questionnaire. Results: Only 55% of the participants worked in workplaces complying with the heat standard. Of them, 79% had auditory canal temperature ≤ 38.5℃, compared with only 58% in noncompliant workplaces. 18% and 43% of the workers in compliant and noncompliant workplaces, respectively, had symptoms from heat stress, the trend being similar across all workload levels. An increase of one degree (C) in WBGT was associated with a 1.85-fold increase (95% confidence interval: 1.44-2.48) in odds for having symptoms. Conclusion: Compliance with the current occupational heat standard protects 4/5 of the workers, whereas noncompliance reduces this proportion to one half. The reasons for noncompliance include the gaps and ambiguities in the law. The law should specify work/rest schedules; outdoor work should be identified as an occupational heat hazard; and the staff should include occupational personnel to manage heat stress in establishments involving heat exposure.

해역별 최적 해빈 안정화 공법 선정 Platform 개발을 위한 기초연구-맹방해변 이송모드별 년 표사수지를 중심으로 (Preliminary Study on the Development of a Platform for the Selection of Optimal Beach Stabilization Measures against the Beach Erosion - Centering on the Yearly Sediment Budget of Mang-Bang Beach)

  • 해빈 안정화를 위한 구조물 설계 시 주 표사이송 모드와 모드별 년 표사 이송량에 관한 정보는 상당한 공학적 가치를 지닌다. 이러한 시각에서 본고에서는 현재 상당한 침식이 진행되고 있는 맹방해변의 년 표사 이송량을 산출하였다. 횡단표사의 경우 Bagnold(1963)의 에너지 모형을 확장한 Bailard(1981)의 모형을 활용하였으며, 연안 표사량은 각 해안에서 가용한 파랑에너지 유입률에 의해 결과 되는 것으로 해석하였다. Bailard(1981)의 횡단표사모형 적용에 필요한 유속 적률은 먼저 맹방해변에서 관측된 파랑자료로부터 출현 가능한 총 71개의 파랑주기 복합사상을 선정하고, 선정된 복합사상을 대상으로 수행된 맹방해변에서의 비선형 천수과정 수치모의 결과로부터 산출하였다. 이 과정에서 파랑모형으로는 주파수 영역 Boussinesq Eq.(Frelich and Guza, 1984)을 활용하였으며, 모의결과 Bailard(1981)의 연구와는 달리 유속 적률과 Irribaren NO. 간에 존재하는 뚜렷한 상관관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 산출 결과 맹방해변 평균 방위 ${\beta}=41.6^{\circ}$의 경우 북서진하는 연안표사가 우월하며 그 양은 년 $125,000m^3/m$에 달하였다. 북서진하는 연안표사와 남동진하는 연안표사가 균형을 이루는 null point는 ${\beta}=47^{\circ}$에 위치하며, 횡단표사의 경우 4월부터 10월 중순까지는 연안방향으로의 퇴적이 점진적으로 진행되나 10월 말과 삼월에 단발적으로 발생하는 고파랑에 의해 침식되는 것으로 판단된다. 또한 맹방해변의 연안표사 장미도(littoral drift rose)를 산출하였으며, 그 결과 맹방해변의 방위가 일시적으로 null point의 방위보다 큰 경우 남동진하는 연안표사가 우월하며, 방위가 일시적으로 null point의 방위보다 작은 경우 북서진하는 연안표사가 우월한 경향을 확인하였으며, 이는 맹방해변은 일시적으로 침식되더라도 스스로 복원할 수 있는 능력을 지닌 안정적인 해변임을 의미한다.
