PHOTOMETRIC STUDY OF EXTREME LONG PERIOD ECLIPSING BINARY 31 CYG (초거성을 가지고 있는 초 장주기 식쌍성 31 CYG의 측광적 연구)

  • The UBV light curves of an extreme long period binary star 31 Cyg are made with the observations obtained at Yonsei University Observatory for three seasons from 1988 to 1991 and the RI light curves are also made for one season in 1990-1991. The new combined UBV light curves of 31 Cyg are constructed with You's and collected data. A preliminary solution of the light curves of 31 Cyg is made using Wilson-Devinney codes.

  • To propose a model equation, an acetic acid and n-heptane binary vapor liquid equilibrium system were investigated at 298.15K and 318.15K. Pressure was theoretically estimated using an association model based on the chemical theory, in conjunction with Margules, Wilson, NRTL models. Results were compared with those of calculated values without considering association. The theoretically calculated results of association model equations show a good agreement with the experimentally observed values.

Optimal Synthesis Conditions of Synthetic Aluminum Silicate (합성규산 알루미늄의 최적합성조건)

  • Synthetic aluminum silicate was prepared by reacting aluminum sulfate solution with Sodium silicate solution in this study. The optimum synthesis conditions based on the yield of the product were established by applying Box-Wilson experimental design. The results were found to be as follows; Reactant temperature : 50∼72$^{\circ}C$, Concentration of two reactants : 10∼17.6%, Mole ratio of two reactants, [Sod. silicate]/[Al. sulfate) : 4.6∼5.0, Temperature of washing water : 25∼4$0^{\circ}C$, and Drying temperature of product : 50∼$65^{\circ}C$. The physical and chemical properties of synthetic aluminum silicate as medicine were investigated by means of chemical analysis, adsorption test and acid consuming capacity measurements.

  • We construct a general bi-basic inverse series relation which provides extension to several q-polynomials including the Askey-Wilson polynomials and the q-Racah polynomials. We introduce a general class of polynomials suggested by this general inverse pair which would unify certain polynomials such as the q-extended Jacobi polynomials and q-Konhauser polynomials. We then emphasize on applications of the general inverse pair and obtain the generating function relations, summation formulas involving the associated polynomials and derive the p-deformation of some of the q-analogues of Riordan's classes of inverse series relations. We also illustrate the companion matrix corresponding to the general class of polynomials; this is followed by a chart showing the reducibility of the extended p-deformed Askey-Wilson polynomials as well as the extended p-deformed q-Racah polynomials.

  • This paper contemplates egalitarian ethics and ecumenical consumerism suggesting expansive possibilities of Northern Ireland's sectarian limits towards unlimited spatialities in Robert McLiam Wilson's Belfast novel, Eureka Street. This paper argues that Northern Ireland's (Belfast's) (post)modernity and a social ethics promoting outwardly mediated relationships are a vision for nonidentity Eureka Street espouses against the identity politics of Protestant-Catholic schism. Eureka Street remarkably challenges Northern Irish sectarian politics propelling inwardly unmediated relationships by ethical possibilities of infinitively mediated relationships. In the argument for a postmodern view of the novel, commodity fetishism and consumerism are considered as key to a prospect of emancipation of Northern Ireland from the political fetters of total identity the partisan communities impose on themselves. This paper also demonstrates that a post-national cosmopolitanism Eureka Street envisages embraces a new social solidarity predicated upon socio-political pluralisms against Northern Irish sectarian identities.

  • Accurate measurements of the heat transfer coefficients of concentric annular space for the test section is important to measure the tube-side heat transfer coefficients of working fluids. This paper presents the annular side heat transfer coefficients of concentric annuli with variation of tube diameter ratios using Wilson plot method. The test facility has a straight, horizontal test section with an active length of 3.0 m. Inner/outer diameters of test tubes are 7.0/7.5 and 8.0/8.56 mm, respectively. An outer diameter of annulus side is 16.0 mm. The test results show that convective heat transfer coefficients in annuli increase with annular diameter ratio. The correlations for convective heat transfer coefficients in annuli are also developed.

  • A photometric solutions of T LMi were derived with the Wilson and Devinney model using the BV photoelectric light curves of Okazaki(1977) and orbital period changes are discussed from the all of the collected times a available in the literature. We obtained a variation with a period of $62.^y01$ and an amplitude of $0.^d0425$ form the (O-C) diagram. According to the physical properties of T LMi on the basis of derived photometric solution, it have a doubt the credibility of the existence of "R CMa type".ype".uot;.
