Silage 재료로서 혼합 야생화의 이용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Utilization of Mixed Wild Flowers as a Silage Materials)

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the quality of wild flowers and mixed wild flower silages. Silage materials employed ochardgrass and mixed wild flower (orchardgrass, white clover, Achillea sibirica Ledeb., Coreopsistinctoria Nutt., Rudbeckiabicolor Nutt., Centaureacyanus L.). Six kilograms of silage materials cut from each treatment were divided into 3 containers, packed by vacuum, and fermented for 40 days. The orchardgrass silage showed significantly higher contents of crude protein than that of mixed wild flower silage. But the neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber contents of orchardgrass silage were significantly lower than those of mixed wild flower silage. pH and butyric acid of orchardgrass silage were significantly lower than those of mixed wild flower silage, and significantly higher in lactic acid contents. It appears that water soluble carbohydrates needs to be supplemented, being grounded on the results above, into wild flower materials both with high fiber materials and with low substances which need lactic acid fermentation.

야생화 개발을 위한 전라북도 지역산 자원식물 조사 (A study on Resource Plant from Chollabuk-do Area for Developing Wild Flower)

  • 전라북도 지역내에 분포하고 있는 야생초목화를 개발하기 위한 자원식물을 조사하였다. 본 조사결과 봄철에 꽃피는 식물은 131종류(전체의 34.7%), 여름에는 219종류(58.1%), 가을에 25종류(6.6%) 그리고 겨울에는 2종류(0.5%)이었고, 봄부터 겨울까지 피는 꽃의 색깔은 모두 26종류로 다양했으며 가장 많은 꽃색은 백색으로 전체의 28.9%, 그다음은 황색 20.7%, 자주색 16.4%, 홍자색 7.9%의 순으로 나타났다. 시군지역별로 많이 심고있는 야생화는 애기똥풀, 원추리, 붓꽃, 산철쭉, 진달래, 할미꽃, 구절초, 민들레, 산국, 맥문동, 석산 등을 들 수 있다. 야생하고 있는 식물을 채취하여 그대로 시판하고 있는 식물은 26종류로 조사되었는데 보춘화, 원추리, 석산, 구절초가 그 대표적인 예에 속한다. 우리나라 야생화를 외국에 반출당하지 않고 개량하여 우수상품으로 만들 대상으로는 총 343종이며 국화과 식물 41종류, 장미과 25종류, 백합과 20종류 그리고 미나리아재비과 18종류의 순으로 조사되었다. 앞으로 보호해야 할 대상으로는 창포, 광릉요강 꽃, 개불알꽃, 새우난초, 금낭화, 호랑가시나무, 노각나무, 송악, 미선나무, 산개나리, 자주꽃방망이 등이다. 이들은 식물수가 격감되어서 희귀상태이거나 멸종위기 또는 학술상 중요하기 때문이다. 전북지역에는 식물분포상 남방인자와 북방인자가 섞여 분포하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 풍부하고 다양한 야생화 자원식물이 존재하고 있으므로 이의개발을 위한 기초자료를 마련하였다.

Complete 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectral assignment of five malonyl ginsenosides from the fresh flower buds of Panax ginseng

  • Background: Ginsenosides are the major effective ingredients responsible for the pharmacological effects of ginseng. Malonyl ginsenosides are natural ginsenosides that contain a malonyl group attached to a glucose unit of the corresponding neutral ginsenosides. Methods: Medium-pressure liquid chromatography and semipreparative high-performance liquid chromatography were used to isolate purified compounds and their structures determined by extensive one-dimensional- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments. Results: A new saponin, namely malonyl-ginsenoside Re, was isolated from the fresh flower buds of Panax ginseng, along with malonyl-ginsenosides Rb1, Rb2, Rc, Rd. Some assignments for previously published $^1H$- and $^{13}C$-NMR spectra were found to be inaccurate. Conclusion: This study reports the complete NMR assignment of malonyl-ginsenoside Re, $Rb_1$, $Rb_2$, Rc, and Rd for the first time.

어메니티 증진과 정서함양을 위한 화훼작물 재배의 확산 방안 (Diffusion Measures of Growing Flower Crops to Cultivate Amenities and Emotions)

  • Diffusion of non-professional flower growing in Korea still lags behind. The objectives of the study are to establish a theoretical modes to explain the diffusion of social floriculture, to identify some characteristics and problems of growing flower crops to cultivate amenities and emotions, and to suggest remedial measures for fostering it. Theoretical model adopted in this study consists of such variables as education, social movement, policies, diffusion of social flower growing, amenities, and emotional cultivation. For identifying the diffusion characteristics of flower growing, projects implemented by a non-governmental organization, schools, local and central government organizations were analyzed. In order to stimulate the diffusion of social flower growing and to increase its effects, there needs to strengthen education of stakeholders, establishment of partnership among schools, non-governmental and governmental organizations, and institutional supports including manpower and finances. Linking flower growing projects to community festival and tourism development programs can foster institutionalization of community flower growing. Furthermore, the introduction of wild, symbolic and traditional flowers and trees will help to specialize and improve community landscapes.

Flower Habitat Supplementation can Conserve Pollinators and Natural Enemies in Agricultural Ecosystem: Case Study in the Pepper Field

  • Pollinators play important roles for crop production as well as maintenance of wild plants' reproduction. Pollinator dependency in Korean agriculture have increased, but the degradation of habitat quality pose significant threats to pollination in agroecosystem. Provisioning flower habitat is one of the major activities to increase pollinator abundance and richness. We tested the effect of flower habitat supplementation on the pollinator, pest and natural enemy abundance in pepper field. Results showed that Hymenopteran pollinators were more abundant in the pepper plots close to the flower habitat. Among natural enemies, the similar pattern from pollinators was observed to parasitoids in the family of Eulophidae, but not to those of Ichneumonidae. There were no statistically significant differences of insect pests like aphids and thrips, as well as pepper production among plots in the pepper field. Even limited spatial scale, this study showed supplementing the flowering plant habitat to the agricultural landscape could conserve and boost pollinators and natural enemies, and possibly resulting better fruit production by pollination service.

비탈면 조기수림화를 위한 녹화용 식물의 활용에 관한 연구 (Seeding of the Woody Plants for the Quick-coverage of the Slopes)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the germination rates and ground coverage rates of the 16 native wild flower, herbaceous, shrub and woody plants according to temperature and seeding timing for the revegetation and rehabilitation of the roadside slopes. Also, this study was conducted to suggest design criteria to select revegetation plants and to decide proper seed mixture for ecological restoration of the disturbed manmade slopes as a environmentally friendly construction. The results are summarized as follows. 1. Most of the plants germinated after 10~14 days. Woody plants germinated more slowly than wild flowers and herbaceous plants because of the hard seed. 2. Most of the plants showed the highest percentage of the germination rates under $15/25^{\circ}C$ temperature. The next was in order of under the $20/30^{\circ}C$ temperature, normal temperature(October) and $25/35^{\circ}C$ temperature. 3. At the chamber experiment, the Sorbaria sorbifolia var. stellipila showed the highest germination rates. Most of the native wild flowers germinated well and showed high germination rates under the various temperature. 4. As the field germination experiments, the seeding at August shows higher germination rates than that of the seeding at September, but showed lower surviving percentage of the germinated seedlings and lower ground coverage percentage than those of the seeding at September. After one year, Chionanthus retusus, Acer palmatum, Albizzia julibrissin are germinated and showed 10% coverage rates. So, they can be used as revegetation plants for the restoration works. 5. As seed mixture experiment, it was not effective only to increase the proportion of the ratio of the tree seeds, relatively high price, for making woody vegetation. It would be more successful to make vegetation structure by natural competition among wild flowers, shrubs and trees. 6. The excessive dominance of trees in revegetation works may destroy the lower layer of vegetation and it will be undesirable on the species diversity. It is more important to recover the species diversity of the plant community by seed mixture with the considering the germination, the growth characteristics and the correlation effect among revegetation plants. 7. To recover the manmade slopes quickly, increasing the ratio of the wild flower was recommended.

Characteristics of lateral bud development, necrosis and genesis of flower primordium in 'Kyoho' grapevines

  • This study investigated the effective harvest of 'Kyoho' grapevines by examining their characteristics including bud development, necrosis types and flower primordium formation. The size of the axillary bud did not show any difference in the 5th node or more, but it was smaller because it was closer to the base in the 4th node or less. In the 1st node, the rates of main bud necrosis (MBN), accessory bud necrosis (ABN), and whole bud necrosis (WBN) were high, and the rate of flower primordium formation was low, but there was no significant difference in the other nodes. Therefore, it was expected that using other nodes than the 1st node would be advantageous to secure production. Because the growth progresses after sprouting, the main bud necrosis rate increases, showing a very low flower primordium formation rate in March of the following year. Therefore, a method is needed to increase the storage nutrients in the winter and the rate of flower primordium formation after March. This study found that the thickness of the shoots should be less than 8.5 mm between the 3rd and 4th nodes, and the length should be less than 60 cm for nodes up to the 10th node.

산수유를 이용한 저당 산수유잼의 제조 및 품질 특성 (Preparation and Quality Characterization of Low Sugar Sansuyu Jam Using Fresh Corni fructus)

  • 본 연구는 산수유 고유의 붉은색과 신맛, 쓴맛을 유지하기 위해 당 함유량을 줄인 산수유잼을 제조하였다. 고형분 농도가 일정한 산수유 퓨레를 제조한 후 이를 이용하여 저당 산수유잼 제조 배합비를 조사하였다. 산수유 퓨레는 과육 무게의 동량 멸균증류수를 첨가하여 제조하였으나 수분 함량은 20~30% 정도만 증가하였다. 펙틴 함량은 0.14%로 매우 낮게 나타나 잼 제조 시 겔화제의 첨가가 필요하였다. 퓨레는 과육에 비해 당도가 30% 수준으로 감소하였으나 pH는 차이가 없었다. 펙틴 첨가로 인한 잼의 pH 변화는 없었다. 퓨레의 L값, a값 및 b값 모두 성숙과 퓨레가 완숙과 퓨레에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 또한 잼 제조 시 성숙과의 함량이 증가할수록 L값, a값 및 b값 모두 증가하였다. 기계적 경도는 펙틴 함량이 증가할수록, 완숙과의 함유량이 증가할수록 산수유잼의 gel strength 및 hardness가 증가하였다. 산수유 성숙과 및 완숙과 퓨레의 DPPH 라디칼 소거능은 100 ppm 농도에서 각각 50.96%, 47.92%의 소거 활성을 보였으며, 산수유잼은 1,000 ppm 농도에서 41.24~49.98%의 소거 활성을 보였다. 총 폴리페놀 함량은 92.70~158.52 mg GAE/g으로 완숙과의 첨가량이 증가할수록 폴리페놀 함량은 감소하는 경향으로 산수유 과육이 농후해지면서 폴리페놀 함량은 감소하였다. 전반적인 기호도 평가에서는 펙틴 2.0%가 5.43, 성숙과 및 완숙과를 동량 첨가했을 때 5.03으로 가장 높은 점수를 보였다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 건피에 국한되었던 산수유 가공품이 생과를 활용한다면 다양한 제품 개발이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.

칠레 야생화의 발아율에 미치는 광조건 그리고 $GA_3$, $KNO_3$ 처리 효과 (Effect of Light, $GA_3$, $KNO_3$ Treatments on the Germination of Chilean Wild Flower)

  • 칠레산 야생화 종자는 발아율이 낮고, 종자의 등숙 정도가 불량하다. 이에 본 연구는 광조건 그리고 $GA_3$(50mg/L, 100mg/L, 200mg/L)와 $KNO_3$(0.1%, 0.2%, 0.4%) 처리가 5종의 칠레산 야생화 종자의 발아율에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 수행되었다. 광조건 실험에서 $Schizanthus$ $candidus$, $Schizanthus$ $hookerii$, $Schizanthus$ $litoralis$ 종은 명조건에서는 발아가 전혀 이루어지지 않았다. $GA_3$$KNO_3$ 처리에서는 $Mimulus$ $luteus$, $Schizanthus$ $candidus$, $Schizanthus$ $hookerii$ 종은 $GA_3$-200mg/L 처리구에서 무처리구에 비해 각각 2.3배, 5.6배, 3.2배의 발아율 증가효과를 보였다. 그러나 $Rhodophiala$ $ananuca$ 종은 $GA_3$-50mg/L 처리구에서 다소 높은 발아율을 나타냈다. 발아율이 낮은 칠레산 야생화 종자의 발아 촉진에는 식물 종자의 휴면타파의 효과가 있는 $GA_3$ 처리가 효과적인 것으로 생각된다.

자생식물의 국내 유통 현황 및 화훼 장식 활용 실태 분석 (Analyze the Status of Native Plants in Korea Flower Market and Uses of Floral Decoration)

  • 본 연구는 자생식물의 화훼시장 유통 현황 및 화훼 장식에서의 활용 현황을 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 화훼시장(2017.01-2017.12)에 판매되는 자생식물 및 월별 판매 현황을 조사했다. 또한, 화훼 잡지 'Fleur'와 'The Flower'에 수록된 작품의 자생식물 사용 현황, 형태별 분류에 따른 활용 빈도, 색채 분석을 수행했다. 화훼시장에 유통되고 있는 절화 172종 가운데 자생식물은 24종(14.0%)에 불과한 것으로 나타났다. 형태별로는 필러 플라워가 15종으로 다른 형태에 비해 많은 수가 유통되고 있었다. 화훼 잡지 'Fleur'와'The Flower'에 사용된 자생식물은 각각 14종(10.2%)과 17종(9.6%)으로 외래식물에 비해 자생식물의 쓰임이 적음을 알 수 있었다. 형태별로는 두 잡지 모두 필러 플라워의 수가 가장 많았으나 'Fleur'에서는 폼 플라워(299작품), 'The Flower'에서는 매스 플라워(571작품)가 많은 활용 빈도를 나타냈다. 화훼 장식에 사용된 자생식물의 색채 분석 결과 P(보라), PB(남색), RP(자주) 계열이 전체의 57%로 나타났다. 따라서 활용도가 높은 형태인 폼·매스 플라워와 사람들의 선호가 높은 색상의 자생식물을 개발한다면 선호 및 소비 증대가 가능할 것으로 보인다.
