  • A computer controlled 5 axis ultrasonic testing system is developed in order to detect flaws in special parts with complex shape. The various kinds of ultrasonic test can be performed automatically using computer program which was developed by DHI(Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd.). By use of this computer program, the detector location can be programed and the amplitude signal of echo can be processed digitally. The test results can be plotted graphically on a high resolution display monitor in real time base. The test data can be also saved in magnetic memory devices(HDD or FDD) as well as in the form of hard copy through color printer. The computer software contains c- scan, c+a scan processing programs as well as statistical analysis for test data.

  • The priority of Crashworthiness concept for rolling stock is progressively increasing to reduce the damage of drivers and passengers as well as the car. For the first step of this research, the analysis of the crash elements have been performed. Also the longitudinal collapse force and mode is important point for whole carbody structure to guarantee the lower force at end part rather than the main passenger area. The carbody quasi-static collapse analysis and real test has been performed in the research. The crash elements FEA and test has been performed as well. After the initial Analysis and test, the correlation analysis between the FEA and test has been performed by FEA tunning. All this result will be used for real crashworthiness design for carbody structure.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of mindfulness meditation programs based on stress management on the perceived stress, self-control, self-esteem and satisfaction with life scale in nursing college students. A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. Participants consisted of an experimental group(n=18) and a control group(n=22). The experimental group received the mindfulness meditation program for 60 minutes a week for 13 sessions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, Fisher's exact test, t-test, Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed there were significant decrease for perceived stress(t=-9.43, p=.025) and improved self-esteem(t=1.98, p=.038) in the experimental compared to group control group. These findings indicate that mindfulness meditation programs is effective to psychological well-being in nursing college students. Therefore this program needs to be considered as a nursing curriculum for students.

  • In this paper, we considered three methods for outlier identification sample surveys. First, we studied method of handling and adjusting outliers in normal population. Second, we studied existing methods using mean, maximum and minimum and proposed a test using of median which well reflects characteristic of data regardless of sampling distribution. Finally, we showed our test using median works better than Dixon and mean test through simulation.

  • Allergy skin prick test and intradermal test represent one of the major tools in the diagnosis of IgE-mediated diseases like as atopic asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, food and drug allergy, and insect bite when properly performed. Skin tests are of particular importance in fields such as allergen standardization, pharmacology, and epidemiology. Even if skin tests seem easy to perform, adequate and proper interpretation requires well-trained physicians who can recognize the numerous factors that may modify the results of skin tests.

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of testing for parameter changes in time series models based on a sequential test. Although the test procedure is well-established for the mean and variance change, a general parameter case has not been discussed in the literature. Therefore, we develop a sequential test for parameter changes in a more general framework.

  • The tube hydroforming technology is new key production technologies, which contribute to a light-weight cu. Because the tubes are used for hydroforming instead of the sheet materials formability test for tube is required to measure the formability of materials for hydroforming. In this Paper, a kind of formability test for tube, which can well represent the characteristics of tube hydroforming processes, is developed. Developed formability test method can consider not oかy the influence of material Properties but also contact with die and material. Some investigation was carried out to verify the effectiveness of developed formability test.

  • This paper describes the result of endurance test on the Sangju test track. The purpose of the test is to prove the endurance of the Korean EMU for the commercial operation. Test conditions are more severe than actual operation on the commercial line. But endurance test come to an end well without severe problem. Hereafter, Korean EMU will be applied the quality certification of railroad supplies as a testing vehicle and their components will be applied in a new line.

  • The dynamic fatigue life equation is applied to uniaxial tensile test. The resultant equations far the surface energy and fracture toughness are calculated with the data from the tensile test and compared with the ones from ASTM E399 test. During the crack propagation under model loading, the material of the crack tip undergoes the process of the elastic-plastic deformation in the uniaxial tensile test. The surface energy per unit area is proportional to the ratio of plastic and elastic elongations. The calculated fracture toughness of the metals are very well coincident to the ASTM E399's test results.
