연강의 습식 수중 아크 용접 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Properties of Underwater Wet Arc Welding for the Mild Steels)

  • Underwater wet arc welds were experimentally performed on 11mm thick SS400 mild steel plate as base metal by using six different types of flux coated electrodes of 4.0mm diameter; KSKR, KSKT, USBL, JPUW, UWEA, and UWEB. As results, the developed flux coated underwater electrode had a good weldability compared with other domestic terrestrial electrodes. By rapid cooling rate, the hardness value of HAZ were increased by quenching effects. Mechanical properties for the multi-pass butt-welding specimen are also tested experimentally. The feasibility of the developed underwater electrode was experimentally studied and the results achieved in this wet arc welds have shown that the developed wet welding electrode UWEB can have a degree of integrity.

필렛용접에서의 결함발생 원인 분석 및 저감 방안 (An Analysis of the Cause of Porosity Generation and Reduction Plan in Fillet Welding)

  • Generally, porosity which was formed by pyrolysis of the primer is usually generated in the weld metal in respect of increase of the welding speed. in order to analyze the cause of porosity generation, this study was performed using FCAW(flux cored arc welding) process for three kinds of inorganic.zinc primer. in addition the evaluation by influence of welding method on porosity generation is conducted to compare between FCAW and MAG(metal active gas) welding with the same inorganic zinc primer. As the result of this investigation, not only primer of lower organic binder and zinc but also FCAW process than MAG in fillet welding have been verified the excellent resistance to the porosity generation for horizontal fillet welding.

도그 피스 설치량에 따른 맞대기 용접 변형 연구 (A Study on the Butt Welding Deformation Considering Dog-Piece Setting)

  • 본 연구에서는 도그 피스 설치량에 따른 용접 변형 실험을 수행하여 용접 변형 감소 효과를 정량적으로 평가하였고, 도그 피스 설치를 고려한 용접 변형 해석 방법을 제안하였다. 용접 변형 실험 결과, 도그 피스 설치량이 증가할수록 용접 변형이 감소하며 최대 74%의 변형 감소 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 원판형 열속 모델을 사용한 열탄소성 유한요소 해석을 활용하여 도그 피스 설치를 고려한 용접 변형 해석 방법을 제안하고, 해석 결과와 실험 결과가 좋은 유사성을 보이고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 해석 방법은 현행 도그 피스 설치량에 대한 적정 여부를 평가하거나 도그 피스 사용량을 절감할 수 있는 설치 가이드를 마련하기 위한 해석적 툴로 활용될 수 있다.

GMA용접에서 용접와이어와 콘택트팁의 재질이 마모에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Welding wires on the Contact tip Wear during GMA Welding)

  • The effect of welding material such as welding wires and materials for contact tip on the contact tip wear was investigated. Two types welding wires such as solid and flux cored wire and a variety of contact tips made of Cu-P, Cu-Cr(0.25%), Cu-Cr(1%) and Cu-Cr-Zr were employed for the comparison of wear resistance. It was found that the wear resistance of contact tips materials was Cu-Cr-Zr, Cu-Cr(1%), Cu-Cr(0.25%), Cu-P in order while the solid wire had a better wear resistance than flux cored wire.

오버레이용접된 Wrapping Roll의 비드마크제거를 위한 열영향부의 미세조직에 관한 연구 (The Study on Microstructure of the Heat Affected Zone for Removing of Beadmark in the Overlayered Wrapping Roll)

  • In case of overalyered wrapping roll, beadmark shape appear at wrapping roll surface due to irregular wear between weld bead. Irregular wear of this is caused by difference of hardness between weld bead. This study aims at investigating which matrix is good for removing of beadmark at wrapping roll surface. So, we make specimen with martensitic matrix and austenitic matrix. The overlayered alloys were deposited 4 times on a SS41 steel plate using self-shielding flux cored arc welding method. Difference of hardness between weld bead of specimen with matrix of martensite was higher than specimen with matrix of austenite both as-welded and after heat treatment. Therefore, austenitic matrix is between than martensitic matrix for removing of beadmark of wrapping roll surface.
