데이터 분포특성을 이용한 다목적함수 최적화 알고리즘 개발 (Development of a Multiobjective Optimization Algorithm Using Data Distribution Characteristics)

  • 가중치법이나 목표계획법을 이용하여 다목적함수 최적화를 수행할 때 설계자는 각 함수에 적절한 가중치나 목표값을 설정해 주어야 한다. 하지만 파라미터를 잘못 설정하게 되면 파레토 최적해를 얻지못하기 때문에 이는 설계자에게 큰 부담이 된다. 최근에 데이터의 분포특성만을 이용하여 데이터의 평균과 함수 사이의 거리를 표현하는 마하라노비스 거리(MD)를 최소화하는 MTS기법이 개발되었다. 이 방법은 파라미터를 설정하지 않아도 되는 장점이 있지만 최적해가 참고데이터의 평균으로 수렴하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 방향성이 없는 기존의 MD에 방향성을 부여한 새로운 거리 척도인 SMD를 제안하였다. 그리고 SMD법이 계산과정에서 각 함수의 가중치를 자동으로 반영하고 평균에서 가장 멀리 위치한 한 점을 항상 파레토 최적해로 제공한다는 것을 2개의 단순예제를 통해 검증하였다.

Estimation of structure system input force using the inverse fuzzy estimator

  • This study proposes an inverse estimation method for the input forces of a fixed beam structural system. The estimator includes the fuzzy Kalman Filter (FKF) technology and the fuzzy weighted recursive least square method (FWRLSM). In the estimation method, the effective estimator are accelerated and weighted by the fuzzy accelerating and weighting factors proposed based on the fuzzy logic inference system. By directly synthesizing the robust filter technology with the estimator, this study presents an efficient robust forgetting zone, which is capable of providing a reasonable trade-off between the tracking capability and the flexibility against noises. The period input of the fixed beam structure system can be effectively estimated by using this method to promote the reliability of the dynamic performance analysis. The simulation results are compared by alternating between the constant and adaptive and fuzzy weighting factors. The results demonstrate that the application of the presented method to the fixed beam structure system is successful.

  • A risk analysis on the cutting slope of roads near Cheongju area was carried out with the data from geological map, field investigation, and laboratory test and with the Geographic Information System. A risk analysis method on the cutting slope of road using the Geographic Information System was developed with the data from geological map, field investigation and laboratory tests. In the GIS, road factors which are safety factor, class of road, slake index, slope-protection works, and height of slope in the cutting slopes are classified into some ranks, and their weighting factors were taken into account. This method can be applied effectively to a road management.

  • This paper presents a monitor positioning algorithm to identify the power quality event source in the distribution system with distributed generations. This algorithm determines the appropriate number of monitors and their locations considering power system topology together with distributed generation. This paper summarizes the guidelines of monitor positioning into five principles and defines the weighting factors according to the principles. To evaluate the adequacy of monitor positioning results, ambiguity indices considering monitor location and system topology are proposed. The optimal number and locations of monitors are determined from optimization routine using the weighting factors and the monitor positioning results are evaluated in terms of ambiguity indices. The algorithm is applied to IEEE 13 bus test feeder and suggests the optimal number and locations of power quality monitors. The proposed approach can realize the expert's knowledge on monitor positioning into a sophisticated automatic computing algorithm.

  • This paper proposes the enhanced faulty node detection scheme with hybrid algorithm using Markov-chain model on BCH (Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem) code in naval distributed control networked systems. The probabilistic model-driven approach, on Markov-chain model, in this paper uses the faulty weighting interval factors, which are based on the BCH code. In this scheme, the master node examines each slave-nodes continuously using three defined states : Good, Warning, Bad-state. These states change using the probabilistic calculation method. This method can improve the performance of detecting the faulty state node more efficiently. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the accuracy in faulty node detection scheme for real-time naval distributed control networked systems.

Extremely Low Numerical Dispersion FDTD Method Based on H(2, 4) Scheme for Lossy Material

  • This paper expands a previously proposed optimized higher order (2, 4) finite-difference time-domain scheme (H(2, 4) scheme) for use with lossy material. A low dispersion error is obtained by introducing a weighting factor and two scaling factors. The weighting factor creates isotropic dispersion, and the two scaling factors dramatically reduce the numerical dispersion error at an operating frequency. In addition, the results confirm that the proposed scheme performs better than the H(2, 4) scheme for wideband analysis. Lastly, the validity of the proposed scheme is verified by calculating a scattering problem of a lossy circular dielectric cylinder.

  • It is usually difficult for a single user to have all the essential knowledge on various Rapid Prototyping processes and techniques. It is therefore necessary to capture knowledge and experience of users of expert level into a decision-support system which provides quicker and more interactive way to select proper RP process and/or machine. rather than reading reports on benchmarking studies and comparing tables and graphs. In this paper two algorithms are presented, which may be used in such a decision-support system. together with its applications. The one is an extended PRES(Project Evaluation and Selection) algorithm which applies weighting factors of each attribute. The other is a LCE(Linear Confidence Equation) algorithm which is proposed to apply user's input requirements as well as weighting factors.

  • The active noise cancellation system showing the effective convergence and stability has been studied by simplifying the controller structures using the weighting factors of control error path to the multi-channel filtered-x LMS algorithm which needs a lot of calculations and the performance has been verified experimentally. Besides, to implement the system performance in a vehicle cabin, experimental work for selecting the suitable numbers and positions of the microphones and speakers was accomplished. Effectively combining a TMS 320C 31 main processor conducting real number calculations and having various functions with other components, the purpose-built system board for active noise cancellation has been designed and with this board, car active noise cancellation system showing maximum stable 10dB noise reduction has been obtained at the car idling conditions above 3000rpm range.

  • 본 논문은 시간지연을 갖는 2차 시스템에서 시간영역의 설계사양을 만족하는 최적 강인 LQ-PID제어기 설계방법을 제안한다. 시간지연을 갖는 2차 시스템의 LQR 해를 이용한 LQ-PID제어기 파라미터는 설계사양을 만족하는 가격함수의 가중치요소 C와 R에 의해 결정되고, Q와 R의 선정은 시간영역에서의 오버슈트와 정착시간을 조절할 수 있는 설계파라미터들 선정에 의해 결정되어진다.

Cancer Risk Assessment Due to Natural and Fallout Activity in Some Cities of Pakistan

  • The measured mean activities of $^{226}Ra,\;^{232}Th,\;^{40}K\;and\;^{137}Cs$ in the soil of Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahimyar Khan Bistricts were 32.9, 53.6, 647.4 and 1.8 Bq $kg^{-1}$. The average absorbed dose rate calculated from these activities was 74.3 nGy $h^{-1}$ and the mean annual effective dose rate was found to be 0.46 mSv $y^{-1}$. Absorbed doses to different body organs were derived from annual effective doses using tissue weighting factors. Radiation induced fatal cancer risks were assessed by using ICRP 60 Model. Estimations incurred 184deaths per year due to cancer.
