광섬유센서 레일패드를 이용한 레일누적통과톤수 실측장치의 효용성 분석 (An effect of rail accumulated passing tonnage measurement device which uses a optical fiber sensor rail pad)

  • For maintaining railroad, accumulated passing tonnage is a determinant factor of appropriate rail replacement time. Recently, Seoul Metro's rail maintaining system and technology is being improved from previous years, which increasing a standard of rail replacement. Thus, this brings importance of estimating and managing for accumulated passing tonnage. In case of light weighted train such as subway, current method of calculating accumulated passing tonnage has defaults of misrepresenting accumulated passing tonnage data. Because current method is based on the weight of passengers and train., and operation data. In addition, currently there is no mechanical and electronic system that could represent and support the accurate data between heavy and non-heavy traffic area, and accumulated passing tonnage is calculated inaccurately by estimating average value each line. The current method of calculating accumulated passing tonnage misleads to unpredictable data that represent inappropriate rail replacement period, which leads to under or over analyzed replacement period. If accumulated passing tonnage is over estimated, rail replacement leads to waste of budget. Hence, it is necessary to construct reliable actual measurement system to manage rail's life safely and efficiently, and in this study the accumulated passing tonnage measurement device is installed with using rail pad of optical fiber sensors and its effect is analyzed.

스트립의 컬러영상을 이용한 요 분석기에 관한 연구 (A Study on Urine Analyzer Using Color Images of Strip)

  • 본 논문에서는 스트립의 컬러영상을 이용한 요 분석기의 개발을 제안하였다. 제안된 분석기에서 스트립의 컬러영상획득을 위해 이미지센서를 이용하였으며, 상이한 요성분에 반응하는 독립된 각 패드들의 영상을 한 번에 촬영하고, 촬영된 패드컬러를 분석하여 요성분의 측정값을 출력하는 특징을 가지도록 하였다. 특히 개발된 장치는 11개의 요 성분을 측정 분석하는 장치로 프로세서에 의하여 측정된 색상을 처리함으로써 복잡한 과정을 없앨 수 있어 빠른 동작과 가벼우며, 소형화되고, 가시적 판단 때보다 정확성을 매우 높일 수 있었다. 또한 유 무선의 통신인터페이스에 의하여 다른 검사기능을 가진 외부장비나 개인용 컴퓨터 및 의료기관이나 기타 요구하는 다른 곳으로 전송이 가능하도록 하였다.

  • Economical consumption of energy, longer life of lamps, higher lighting comfort and new aesthetic of illumination is subject of numerous research and development works. The halogen lamps are an example of positive solution some of above mentioned problems. The electronic transformers are more frequent used for their supply. In comparison with conventional transformers they have less weight, less volume and 60% less power tosses. Their advantages are particular visible, when the hybrid technique is applied. The paper presents the results of engineering research and development works carried out ill Private Institute of Electronic Engineering, in R. & D. Center for Hybrid Microelectronics and Resistors and in Technical School of Communications in Krakow, in the field of the design and exploitation tests of hybrid converters 220V AC /12V DC (electronic transformers) and electronic ballasts destined for the supply of halogen lamps 20W to 150W and fluorescent lamps respectively. To perform the converters, thick film technology and surface mount technology were used. For the protection of converter electronic circuit the thick film temperature sensor and transistors were applied. Moreover the paper presents the base application circuits of elaborated converters, their technical parameters and exploitation results. The development perspectives of hybrid domain of hybrid circuits are also discussed.

예인 음탐기용 케이블 개발 (Development of Cable for Towed Array Sonar System)

  • Cables for Towed Array Sonar System(TASS) were developed. In order to verify the performance of cables, environmental and operational conditions as well as functional requirements were investigated during design stage. Double armored high and low voltage integrated cable for towed body and two kinds of cables, armored and light weight power and optic hybrid cables for towed array sensor system were developed by modeling and simulation. Customized manufacturing process and test method, such as foam extrusion and dynamic fatigue test were applied to this development. In conclusion, underwater towed hybrid cable with high tensile strength and compact structure were developed.

  • 최근 대부분의 보급형 CCD/CMOS 영상 센서는 크기와 비용을 줄이기 위해 한 가지 색상만 선택적으로 통과시키는 CFA(Color Filter Array)를 사용한다. 따라서 원래의 컬러 영상을 복원하기 위하여 패턴인식이나, 정규화 등을 이용한 많은 알고리즘이 제안되었으나, 지엽적인 색상오류, zipper 효과 등의 오류를 충분히 제거하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전체 영상의 PSNR 뿐 아니라 주관적인 화질에 영향을 주는 에지 부분에서의 오류를 줄이기 위하여, 기존에 제시되었던 방법인 POCS(Projection Onto Convex Sets) 알고리즘을 기반으로 에지 가중치를 적응적으로 적용하였다. 그 결과 강한 에지 부분에서 보다 효율적인 컬러복원을 할 수 있었다.

  • We introduced a small-sized automatic model helicopter for using in the remote sensing. The feature of our helicopter system is that the helicopter system is realized using commercialized radio-controlled model helicopter, whose payload is 1.5 kg. Therefore, our system has may benefits when apply our system to practical tasks. The compactness and light-weight of our system is realized by the introduction of our original technique to suppress the vibration noise using a slimy material as well as the introduction of latest sensors and semiconductor products. Submerging the acceleration sensor into a slimy material, moise ratio is highly improved. In this paper, we show an experimental results for the effect of our orignal technique to remove the vibration noise of helicopter. The result of hovering flying test shows the effectiveness of our system.

A Framework for Wide-area Monitoring of Tree-related High Impedance Faults in Medium-voltage Networks

  • Wide-area monitoring of tree-related high impedance fault (THIF) efficiently contributes to increase reliability of large-scaled network, since the failure to early location of them may results in critical lines tripping and consequently large blackouts. In the first place, this wide-area monitoring of THIF requires managing the placement of sensors across large power grid network according to THIF detection objective. For this purpose, current paper presents a framework in which sensors are distributed according to a predetermined risk map. The proposed risk map determines the possibility of THIF occurrence on every branch in a power network, based on electrical conductivity of trees and their positions to power lines which extracted from spectral data. The obtained possibility value can be considered as a weight coefficient assigned to each branch in sensor placement problem. The next step after sensors deployment is to on-line monitor based on moving data window. In this on-line process, the received data window is evaluated for obtaining a correlation between low frequency and high frequency components of signal. If obtained correlation follows a specified pattern, received signal is considered as a THIF. Thereafter, if several faulted section candidates are found by deployed sensors, the most likely location is chosen from the list of candidates based on predetermined THIF risk map.

압전형 에너지 수확장치를 위한 통합 해석환경의 적용 및 검증 (Application and Verification of Fully-Integrated Design Environment for Piezoelectric Energy Harvester)

  • Vibrational energy harvester based on piezoelectricity has been expected to be the dominant energy harvesting technology due to the advantages of high conversion efficiency, light weight and small size, night operation, etc. Its commercialization is just around the corner but the integration with power management electronics should be solved in advance. In this paper, therefore, fully-integrated design environment for piezoelectric energy harvesting systems is presented to assist co-design with the power management electronics. The proposed design environment is capable of analyzing the energy harvester including the package-induced damping effects and simulating the device and its power management electronics simultaneously. When the developed design environment was applied to the fabricated device, the simulated resonant frequency matched well with the experimental result with a difference of 2.97% only. Also, the complex transient response was completed in short simulation time of 3,001 seconds including the displacement distribution over the device geometry. Furthermore, a full-bridge power management circuit was modeled and simulated with the energy harvester simultaneously. Therefore the proposed, fully-integrated design environment is accurate and fast enough for the contribution on successful commercialization of piezoelectric energy harvester.

고속도로 소음의 전기에너지 발생원으로의 이용 가능성에 관한 기초연구 (A Fundamental Study on Feasibility of The Noise on Express Highway As Electrical Power Source)

  • 신 재생에너지원은 풍력, 태양 광, 연료전지가 대표적이다. 그러나 고속도로 또는 도로변에서 자동차의 바퀴와 도로 바닥과의 마찰로부터 발생하는 마찰 소음 역시 전기를 발생시킬 수 있는 재생에너지원으로 사료되어 다양한 재생에너지원의 개발 차원에서 연구하게 되었다. 자동차의 차종(중량), 속도, 이격거리 등에 따른 소음의 크기와 파형의 차에 따라 전기에너지의 발생량에 영향을 주었다. 고속도로에서 트럭이 시속 100[km], 측정거리 6[m]에서 최대전압 0.53[V], 최대출력 0.028[W]의 전기에너지를 얻었다.

릴레이 삽입을 위한 에어 스틱 피더의 개발 (Development of the Air Stick Feeder for Inserting the Relay)

  • 표면실장기술에 있어서, 자동차 정션박스 등에 삽입되는 릴레이를 칩 마운터를 이용하여 실장 하는 기술이 대두되고 있다. 그러나 릴레이가 일반 칩과 다르게 스틱 튜브로 공급되고 부품의 무게가 무거워 공급하는 기술이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 스틱 튜브를 이용한 부품 공급 장치를 기존 기술보다 보다 안정적으로 공급을 할 수 있는 에어를 이용한 기계적 구조를 마련하고, 이를 활용한 시스템 알고리즘을 개선하는 기술을 제시한다. 또 개선된 에어 스틱 피더를 설비에 장착하여 사용했을 때 생산량의 증가와 폐기 비용 감소 효과를 확인할 수 있다.
