Web 3.0 Business Model Canvas of Metaverse Gaming Platform, The Sandbox

  • We look at Web 3.0 business model canvas (BMC) of metaverse gaming platform, The Sandbox (TS). As results, the decentralized, blockchain-based platform, TS benefits its creators and players by providing true ownership, tradability of decentralized assets, and interoperability. First, in terms of the governance and ownership, The SAND functions a governance token allowing holders to participate in decision and SAND owners can vote themselves or delegate voting rights to other players of their choice. Second, in terms of decentralized assets and activities, TS offers three products as assets like Vox Edit as a 3D tool for voxel ASSETS, Marketplace as NFT market, and Game Maker as a visual scripting toolbox. The ASSETS made in Vox Edit, sold on the Marketplace, can be also utilized with Game Maker. Third, in terms of the network technology, in-game items are no longer be confined to a narrow ecosystem. The ASSETS on the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) are not changed without the owner's permission. LAND and SAND are supported on Polygon, so that users interact with their tokens in a single place. Last, in terms of the token economics, users can acquire in-game assets, upload these assets to the marketplace, use for paying transaction fees, and use these as governance token for supporting the foundation.

  • 인터넷 기술을 기반으로 전 세계에 걸친 정보서버들의 상호연결을 통해 실제 환경처럼 원하는 거래를 할 수 있는 가상의 공간으로서의 새로운 활동영역으로 대두되었다. 사이버스페이스를 통해 새로운 비즈니스를 실현 하고자 하는 움직임이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내에서도 가상공간에서의 쇼핑몰의 필요성을 인식하고 많은 기업들이 참여하였으나 사이버쇼핑몰은 인터넷이 가진 잠재력만큼 발전하지 못했다. 사이버쇼핑몰에서 제공하는 단순 평면, 정보의 한계성을 말할 수 있다. 소비자에게 좀더 나은 정보전달의 필요성이 나타나게 된 것이다. 이에 따라서 본 논문에서는 2차원쇼핑몰과 3차원 쇼핑몰의 상호보완적 구성을 통하여 3차원 제품과 쇼핑몰의 연구가 이루어졌다. 연구는 세부 분으로 구성되어 있다. 먼저 문헌 연구와 자료조사를 통해 인터넷 쇼핑몰 안에서의 소비자특성을 파악하고 인터넷 쇼핑몰 제품의 판매 한계성을 제시하였다. 그리고 두 번째로 쇼핑몰과 3차원 쇼핑몰의 특성 비교 및 가상현실기술 자료를 정리 소개하였다. 그리고 마지막으로 3D제품 모델링과 쇼핑몰을 개발하여 소비자의 구매를 증대시키고 앞으로 쇼핑몰의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

An Open Standard-based Terrain Tile Production Chain for Geo-referenced Simulation

  • The needs for digital models of real environment such as 3D terrain or cyber city model are increasing. Most of applications related with modeling and simulation require virtual environment constructed from geospatial information of real world in order to guarantee reliability and accuracy of the simulation. The most fundamental data for building virtual environment, terrain elevation and orthogonal imagery is acquired from optical sensor of satellite or airplane. Providing interoperable and reusable digital model is important to promote practical application of high-resolution satellite imagery. This paper presents the new research regarding representation of geospatial information, especially for 3D shape and appearance of virtual terrain. and describe framework for constructing real-time 3D model of large terrain based on high-resolution satellite imagery. It provides infrastructure of 3D simulation with geographical context. Web architecture, XML language and open protocols to build a standard based 3D terrain are presented. Details of standard-based approach for providing infrastructure of real-time 3D simulation using high-resolution satellite imagery are also presented. This work would facilitate interchange and interoperability across diverse systems and be usable by governments, industry scientists and general public.

  • Effective 3 dimensional modelling is to be essential work for design of construction, mechanic and industrial part. Especially, it makes possible for reverse design. It need rapidity, accuracy, reality. Data acquisition method for modelling are contact 3dimensional measurement system, LASER scanner, Pattern scanner, and digital photogrammetry. This study introduce to 3 dimensional modelling methods and analysis of these method. We tried to 3D modelling of automobile part using OPTO-Top pattern scanner which system have rapidity and accuracy, and compared effectiveness of each method. The 3D display web environment was made.

  • A research shows that a new category of software, Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC), is now emerging, allowing discrete manufacturers to once again distinguish themselves on their products and innovations. CPC permits discrete manufacturers to significantly improve the core processes around the management functions associated with the complete product life cycle that are the basis of their existence. As a way to develop computing tools of CPC to support a design process of product, a web-based design supporting system was constructed in the paper. The system consists of C-Product system and Net Meeting Communication system to improve communications between designers and persons for verification of design. The product data files of C-Product system were designed by Pro/Engineer and converted to 3D Viewer format for being used in the web browser. Also, Net Meeting Communication system and Database were developed using ASP and Microsoft SQL 2000 Server to share diverse files that can be utilized to design on the web in real time.

  • 제품의 설계를 담당하는 사람과 제품을 구입하려는 소비자의 감성이 반영되어 형상화된 제품을 미리 알아 볼 수 있고 이에 대한 평가 및 수정을 가능하게 하는 디자인 시스템이 있다면 제품을 개발하고 생산하는 비용을 감소시킬 수 있을 것이며 또한 소비자의 만족도를 극대화 할 수 있다는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 구매욕구를 충족하기 위하여 다양한 색깔의 건축내장재인 ARTPAN, new ARTPAN, CONER MOLDING 등을 생산하는 회사의 생산품에 대하여 인간이 가지는 감성에 의하여 해당 모델을 선택하며 또한 이를 실제 건축물에서 가상시공을 하여 만족된 제품을 생산공장에 직접 주문 할 수 있는 Web 시스템을 구축하였다. 즉 본 시스템 내에서는 User의 색채 감성에 의해 반응하는 상호 구성요소를 가지며, 상호 feedback이 가능하다. 또한 User Stereoscopic vision을 구비한 가상세계를 구현하고 마지막으로 User는 3D 가상세계 내를 항해할 수 있다.

롤투롤 인쇄전자용 폭방향 제어 기법 (Lateral Control Methods for Roll-to-roll Printed Electronics)

  • This paper presents the evaluation of PID and fuzzy control logic for the lateral position control of a moving web in roll-to-roll (R2R) printed electronics. In addition, we report the implementation of computer simulation software that enables us to develop the control logic in a graphic user interface and to test the controller performance in 3D dynamic environment. A mathematical model of the web dynamics is described first to explain the lateral motion of a moving web. Based on the model, PID and fuzzy controllers are designed, and embedded in the simulation software. Under the simulation conditions for fabricating RFID antenna by R2R printing, the results indicate that the fuzzy controller shows a better performance and can be more suitable for R2R multi-layer printed electronics.

USING WEB CAMERA TECHNOLOGY TO MONITOR STEEL CONSTRUCTION

  • Computer vision technology can be used to interpret the images captured by web cameras installed on construction sites to automatically quantify the results. This information can be used for quality control, productivity measurement and to direct construction. Steel frame construction is particularly well suited for automatic monitoring as all structural members can be viewed from a small number of camera locations, and three-dimensional computer models of steel structures are frequently available in a standard electronic format. A system is being developed that interprets the 3-D model and directs a camera to look for individual members as regular intervals to determine when each is in place and report the results. Results from a simple lab-scale system are presented along with preliminary full-scale development.

  • This study is about a case of web application development using representative commercial BIM platform-linked APIs from Autodesk and Bentley Systems. The development method was aimed at application development using Autodesk's Forge API and Bentley System's iTwin API. The specific development content was limited to the Model Viewer, Issues, and File Transfer API, and the administrator's site. The first research result is that parts with different internal configurations of commercial platforms were independently modularized and developed, and the common front-end was unified. The second research result is that a web front-end technology, was used to visualize 3D models using the viewer API, and the possibility of additional application expansion was discovered.

HTML5에서 Quadratic & Cubic Bézier 곡선을 이용한 2D to 3D 입체 이미지 변환 (2D to 3D Anaglyph Image Conversion using Quadratic & Cubic Bézier Curve in HTML5)

  • 본 논문에서는 HTML5에서 Quadratic & Cubic B$\acute{e}$zier 곡선을 이용하여 2D 이미지를 3D 입체 이미지로 변환하는 방법을 제안한다. 3D 입체 이미지 변환은 원본 이미지에서 RGB색상 값을 분리 추출하여 좌안과 우안을 위한 2개의 이미지로 필터링한다. 사용자는 Quadratic B$\acute{e}$zier 곡선과 Cubic B$\acute{e}$zier곡선을 이용한 제어 점을 통해 이미지의 깊이 값을 설정하게 된다. 이 제어 점을 기반으로 2D 이미지의 깊이 값을 계산하여 3D이미지에 반영하게 된다. 이 모든 과정은 HTML5를 사용한 웹 환경에서 구현하였으며, 사용자들은 매우 쉽고 편리하게 자신들이 원하는 3D 이미지를 만들 수 있게 하였다.
