차세대 Web 2.0 시대의 사용자들은 UI에 대한 시각적, 감성적 요소를 충족시키고 각종 정보에 대해 즉각적인 인식이 가능한 화면을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 사용자의 요구에 능동적으로 대처하기 위해서는 개발자와 디자이너의 상호 협력이 더욱 절실해져가고 있다. 이에 마이크로소프트사는 웹 프레젠테이션 작성 시 다양한 플랫폼에 풍부한 기능과 시각적으로 뛰어난 웹페이지를 개발할 수 있는 Silverlight를 출시하였다. 디자이너와 개발자의 협업이 가능하고 여러 개발 툴에 접근이 가능한 Silverlight를 활용하여 기존의 창 개념에 투명도와 애니매이션을 적용하고 3D 효과를 제공함으로써 시각적인 효과를 높인 창고관리시스템을 구현하였다.

웹 브라우저로 쉽게 접근 할 수 있는, VRML과 XML을 이용한 X3D(Extensible 3D)구조를 통해 가상공간에서 인간의 움직임에 대한 체험을 하도록 하는 Humanoid를 생성해 사용자와 상호 작용할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 즉 X3D의 특징, X3D를 이용하여 컴퓨터 그래픽스의 화려한 영상이 사실처럼 보이는 기술인 반사효과(Reflection), 실시간 디스플레이(Compression & Reduce), 대화식의 상호작용(Interaction)통의 Web3D 기반 3D 그래픽 표현에 대한 알고리즘을 제안하고 검증할 것이다.

Major engineering requirements and technological developments in the steel construction industry are discussed to support a new innovative system, namely corrugated web beams, for future structural projections. These new-generation steel beams, fabricated as welded plate girders with corrugated webs, are designed to combine large spans with very low weight. In the present study, the flexural capacity of optimally designed trapezoidal and sinusoidal corrugated web beams was aimed at. For this purpose, the new metaheuristic methods, specifically hunting search and firefly algorithms, were used for the minimum weight design of both beams according to the rules of Eurocode EN 1193 15 and DASt-Ri 015. In addition, the strengthening effects of the corrugation geometry at the web posts on the load capacity of fabricated steel beams were tested in a reaction frame. The experimental tests displayed that the lateral capacity of trapezoidal web beams is more durable under flexural loads compared to sinusoidal web beams. These thin-walled beams were also simulated using a 3-D finite element model with plane strain to validate test results and describe the effectiveness of the ABAQUS software.

최근 컴퓨터그래픽스는 실사에 가까운 표현이 가능하게 되었다. 하지만, 2D 컴퓨터그래픽스 고유의 느낌을 선호하는 면도 없진 않다. 2D 컴퓨터그래픽스와 3D 컴퓨터그래픽스의 합성 작업은 이미 오래전부터 제작되어왔다. 하지만, 기술적인 차이로 한계를 넘지 못하거나 실사 2D에 가상의 3D 컴퓨터그래픽스가 도입되거나 2D 컴퓨터그래픽스에 이펙트 등 효과가 3D 컴퓨터그래픽스 작업을 통해 제작되어 왔다. 최근에는 웹툰 등 2D 컴퓨터그래픽스로 작업하면서 시간적으로 좀 더 제약을 많는 콘텐츠 등에 2D 컴퓨터그래픽스로 작업한 느낌을 살리면서 카메라 앵글이나 시공간적인 장면 전환이 용이한 요소를 3D컴퓨터그래픽스로 작업하여 작업의 효율을 높이는 경우가 있다. 실제 작업을 통해 적절한 방향을 제시해보고자 한다.

On-machine automatic measuring software from 3-D solid modeler is generally applied to assess the functional performance of a final produce for computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Automatic measuring software may also be performed on individual components of CNC machine in which some functional aspect of the component must be examined and cannot be implicity determined by means of a mechanical inspection. The manufacturing specialist, combined with the appropriate software simulation, can not only create the commands to drive the virtual measuring but also can check for mistakes by viewing the computer graphics simulation of the tool cutting sequence.
