웹기반 기술을 사용한 구조해석 (Structural Analysis through Web-based Technology)

  • A web-based platform for structural analysis has been developed. The proposed web-based platform is a 2-tier system composed o( client and server sides to reduce the overburden on the server side. Smart Client is applied for the client side to improve the handling speed and UI. For the server side, MSSQL is applied to deal with database and used as a storage for the web. XML WebService is adpoted for the networking between the client and the server. To examine the efficiency of the developed web-based platform a sample study is carried out with a nonlinear earthquake analysis on a SDOF system.

  • A web-based platform for nonlinear earthquake analysis on SDOF systems has been developed in the research. The proposed web-based platform is a 2-tier system composed of client and server sides. Smart Client is applied for the client side to improve the handling speed and UI compatible to the stand alone systems. For the server side, MSSQL is used as a storage for the web. XML WebService is adpoted for the networking between client and server. To examine the efficiency of the developed web-based platform, a trial study on a SDOF nonlinear structural system under earthquake excitation has been carried out.

  • In this paper, It is studied to control and to monitor the remote system state using HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) object communication. The remote control system is controlled by using a web browser or a application program. This system is organized by three different part depending on functionality-server part, client part, controller part. The java technology is used to composite the server part and the client part and C language is used for a controller. The server part is waiting for the request of client part and then the request is reached, the server part saves client data to the database and send a command set to the client part. The administrator can control the remote system just using a web browser. Remote part is worked by timer that is activated per 1 second. It gets the measurement data of the controller part, and then send the request to the server part and get a command set in the command repository of server part using the client ID. After interpreting the command set, the client part transfers the command set to the controller part. Controller part can be activated by the client part. If send command is transmitted by the client part, it sends sensor monitoring data to the client part and command set is transmitted then setting up the value of the controlled system.

  • A prototype of OGC Web Map Service and Web Feature Service is developed by NEC Aerospace Systems, Ltd. under the contract from NASDA and RESTEC. The server provides satellite imagery data taken by JERS-1 and ADEOS satellite, via OGC interfaces to the client. The related features are also available to the client through the Internet with OGC interfaces. The imagery, map and feature data is handled layer by layer at the client. OGC Web Map Service and Web Feature Service interoperability capability and applicability to Digital Asia Network are demonstrated.

  • WebDAV(Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning, RFC 2518)는 인터넷을 통하여 원거리에 위치한 다수의 그룹들간의 협업을 지원하기 위한 프로토콜이다. 웹데브(WebDAV)는 웹 통신 프로토콜인 HTTP/1.1의 확장으로 인터넷을 통하여 다양한 콘텐츠의 비동기적인 협업을 지원하기 위한 표준 하부구조를 제공한다. 웹데브 클라이언트는 이러한 명세를 지원하는 웹데브 서버와 HTTP 요청을 통하여 서버 자원에 대한 변경 및 수정 작업을 수행하게 된다. 따라서 클라이언트는 뛰어난 동시성 제어와 속성 관리를 통하여 자원의 저작과 버전관리의 기능을 제공하는 것이 바람직하다. 본 논문에서는 유용성을 높이기 위하여 윈도즈 탐색기와 유사한 사용자 인터페이스를 가진 닷넷 기반의 웹데브 클라이언트를 개발하였다. 개발된 웹데브 클라이언트는 서버의 자원에 대한 저작 응용 프로그램의 실행과 적절한 잠금 제어를 지원한다. 또한, 프로세스 감시를 통하여 사용자에 의한 자원의 변경이 완료되었을 때 서버 자원에 대한 자동 갱신을 지원한다. 본 웹데브 클라이언트는 C# 언어로 개발된 닷넷 기반의 응용 프로그램으로 닷넷 기반구조를 지원하는 모든 플랫폼에서 실행된다.

  • Internet users been rapidly increased due to the convenient GUI environment. Current Web-based HTTP/CGI client/server architecture has several problems such as the CGI bottleneck, no maintaince of state, and no load balancing. However, with Java and CORBA technologies called“Object Web technology”, we can solve them because Java is not only a mobile code but also a platform-independent code, and CORBA has ability to build distributed object and language-independent object model. The goal of “Object Web technology”is to create multivendor, multiOS, multilanguage“legoware”using objects. This paper implement“Book Search System”which is Web-based client/server architecture using distributed objects. Environments of this implementation are Hangul Windows NT(included IIS) server, Hangul Windows 95 client, Visigenic's VisiBroker for Java 1.2 which is a product of CORBA 2.0, HTTP protocol on TCP-IP-based, Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.0 database server, and the interface between application server and database is JDBC-ODBC bridge middleware.

Design of Real-Time Video Play System Using Web Camera

  • This paper designs a real-time video playback system using a web camera in the RTSP server. It designs a function to play the video data of the web camera in the client in real time using the web camera in the server and using the RTSP protocol. It consists of a server module function that produces real-time video information using a web camera and a client module function that plays video received from the server in real time. The experiment was conducted by establishing an environment for designing a real-time video playback system using a web camera. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that real-time video playback from the server's web camera worked well.

  • The aim of this research was performance of Web-based real time DGPS using MS visual basic 6.0 Active X control. This system supported the navigation of rover by transmitting the DGPS correction information of base station via internet and monitored the moving of rover by displaying the corrected results received from rover as well as permitting Web users monitoring for rover. The Web-based DGPS server and the client system using MS visual basic 6.0 Active X control for DGPS displayed on Web-browser with the pre analysis was constructed and the system loading test via Web-browser was performed after debugging this system through the static GPS test and publishing it on Web. Also, the wireless internet DGPS test on Web by changing the distance between a base station and a rover was carried out. As the result of the test, the real time DGPS could be performed by transmitting the correction message which calculated from the server system to the client system continually. The rover could be managed by displaying the location information which received from the client system. Other users also could monitor the rover by connecting with this system via internet in real time.

A Web Cluster Scheme using Distributed File Server in Internet Environments

  • In this paper, we propose to new dispatcher method, which doesn't depend on an operating system of the server, and the direct routing method, by which a server answers a client's request at first hand. And, propose new web clustering scheme based on the contents on the web where web servers composed of cluster, with each different contents, answer client's request. The other purposes are to reduce overhead of the dispatcher through load balance, and to minimize the time to take in responding to a client's request. The performance of new web cluster scheme was improved by about 39% than that of the existing RR method. It was identified that the performance of the proposed web cluster method was extraordinary improved comparing with that of the existing RR method as a whole.

User Interface in Web Based Communication for Internet Robot Control

  • Robot control involves advance programming, scientific and high technology. The systematic and methodological aspects of robot controls often results in having superficial control design problems that can negatively affect the robot application, usability and appeal. User friendly interface of robot control is extremely advantageous and more attractive. To illustrate, the application of medical robot is usually handled by clients who have little background in advance programming language. Thus, it would be difficult if the client needs to use programming language to control the robot. It would justify better if the robot control is presented in a meaningful interface to the client. This way the robot application would be more natural and user friendly. This paper describes the method of developing the user interface for web based communication to control an internet robot named Tarou. The web based communication tasks involves three levels. The first one accommodates on the client sending commands to robot through the internet. The next communication level relates to the robot receiving the commands sent by the client. The final communication level generates on sending feedback on status of commands by the robot to the client. The methodology used here can be elaborated in four hierarchical steps; identify user needs and robot tasks, identify the enhancing tag reference used by the server, induce the tag into HTML, present the HTML in attractive user interface as the client control panel.
