  • This research was designed to compare the subjective evaluation of texture image and preference by structure and sensible characteristics of women's suits fabrics between on- and off-line. 78 subjects who majored in fashion design evaluated the sensibility image and preference of 15 various kinds of specimens on- and off-line. Factor analysis, t-test, Pearson correlation and regression were used for a statistical analysis by SPSS WIN 13.0. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Women's suits fabrics were classified according to five sensibility image factors: 'classic', 'sophisticated', 'natural', 'characteristic', and 'practical'. 2. The results of the t-test showed that there were no differences between the on- and off-line evaluation of sensibility images. 3. The analysis of correlation indicated that the 'classic'-'sophisticated' and 'natural'- 'practical' sensibility images show a significant correlation between the two kinds of evaluation. 4. The results of regression revealed that 'sophisticated', 'characteristic' and 'practical' sensibility images had an effect on the purchase preference of women's suits fabrics. 5. 'Sophisticated', 'characteristic' and 'classic' sensibility images had an effect on the tactile preference of women's suits fabrics. 6. The structural characteristics of fabrics: thickness, weave and weight had an effect on the 'classic' sensibility image. Thickness had an effect on the 'sophisticated' sensibility image and fabric count had an effect on the 'characteristic' sensibility image.

  • Fiber-reinforced composites transmitting microwaves of certain frequencies or bands were proposed. These frequency selective fabric composites(FSFCs) are fabricated by weaving carbon fibers and dielectric fibers that build periodic patterns. Design parameters affecting the electromagnetic characteristics of FSFCs were widely discussed, Then the electromagnetic characteristics of a fabricated plain-weave FSEC were investigated with regard to the electrical conductivities of carbon roving, the fiber undulation, and the aperture-to-cell ratio, for the electrical conductivities, its dependence on frequency as well as on the fiber volume fraction of carbon roving was taken into account. Constituent material properties and the fiber undulation had little effect on the EM properties of the fabricated FSFC, while the aperture-to-cell ratio made a profound effect on them.

  • In this study, we determine the stretch and shrinkage properties of conjugated yarns. The shrinkage(%) and elasticity(%) were determined by applying twist conditions of 0, 350, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 2000 T/M (twisting per meter). It is found that the shrinkage(%) and elasticity(%) gradually decreased with increasing T/M. Especially the elasticity(%) dramatically decreased over 1400 T/M condition. In contrast, it is showed that the handle and drapery properties decreased below 1000 T/M, which indicates that the optimal T/M condition could be 1000~1400. The effect of shrinkage(%) and elasticity(%) with different steam setting temperatures (60, 70, 80 and $90^{\circ}C$) was also determined. The shrinkage(%) decreased with increasing setting temperature, while the elasticity not changed. In this context, the optimal steam setting temperature could be $80^{\circ}C$ because it is not easy to weave with the yarns which was set below $80^{\circ}C$. The elasticity(%) decreased with increasing the density of warp and weft. To produce soft handle, excellent drapery and good stretch fabrics, the warp density needs to be reached by 90% of the ideal warp density. In the case of NaOH treatments to the fabrics, the elasticity(%) increased with increasing weight reduction. Therefore, this study have demonstrated that the conjugated yarns with core yarn and the SDY CD(cation dyeable spindraw yarn) as an effect yarn would be appropriate to produce excellent mixture-yarn, which displays clean appearance, good handle and excellent elasticity, The optimized conditions are as follows; 1000~1200 twist per meter, $80^{\circ}C$ steam setting temperature, 90% of ideal warp density and relaxation condition treated with 5g/l NaOH concentration.

  • As service-oriented software is considered as one of solutions to fulfill the users' needs in internet service environment, it has been increased the demands of reliable service development by the composition of internet services. However a critical issue in the service development approach is to satisfy the performance requirement as well as the functional correctness for the developing services, because impatient user multiply clicks the request-button of service without a short waiting. This paper proposes a framework to examine the performance of composite service. Our testing framework provides the data of service response time to service developer by measuring the service execution time. We develope an Aspect-based timer service, and weave the service with existing services to measure the execution time. Additionally, we perform some experiments to confirm the usefulness of performance test for composite service. This framework can support to develop a good performance service by substitution of the dragging service with another new service that will be a component of composite service.

  • The BPEL is standard of workflow. A domain experts not familiar with programming languages and he can write workflow. But he need new function without BPEL. We must develop or modify a BPEL engine for new functions. This method is expensive. In this paper, We propose the XAS4B documents that extend the XML schema. And We describe method that can process new function in BPEL using Aspect-Oriented Programming. AOP can cross-cut concern adding to core concern using weaving without modification. We use an existing B2J (BPEL to JAVA) engine that is transfer a BPEL's document to a JAVA program and B2J execute a JAVA program. This system adding new functions to BPEL's flow using AOP. In this system, A JAVA program is core concern and a program of new function is cross-cut concern. And this system weave a JAVA program made in B2J and a program of new function. This method provide abstract grammar for new functions. And domain experts can easily write new function is a BPEL Document and reuse new function using abstract grammar.

  • This study was designed to determine the effect of ankle taping and short period of walking on the treadmill on the range of motion (ROM) and proprioception at the ankle joint. Twenty healthy male subjects (mean age=24.2 yr) participated in this study. Goniometry and videotape replaying method were used to measure the ankle ROM. Passive sagittal and frontal plane motions were measured. The difference in degree between the stimulus point and the reproduced point was defined as an angular error. The measurements were performed at four different phases: pre-taping (PRT), post-taping immediately (POT), post-5 minute walking with taping (P5M), and post-10 minute walking with taping (P10M). The ankle of dominant limb was taped by a certified athletic trainer using a closed basket weave technique. Participants walked on the treadmill at 2.5 mph. The results showed that the mean of the sagittal plane motion at PRT, POT, P5M, and P10M was 53.0, 30.5, 36.2, and 40.2 degrees, respectively. The frontal plane motion at PRT, POT, P5M, and P10M was 33.6, 13.9, 15.7, and 18.6 degrees, respectively. The angular error at PRT, POT, P5M, and P10M was 5.5, 1.6, 1.8, and 1.9 degrees, respectively. After 10 minutes of walking, the sagittal plane motion and frontal plane motion was increased by 9.7 and 4.7 degrees compared with POT, respectively. The proprioception was significantly improved after the application of ankle taping. Both the restriction of frontal plane motion and proprioception improvement at the ankle joint may contribute to ankle stability during walking.

  • This paper describes the bone healing process of fractured long bones such as a tibia applied by composite IM rods using finite element analysis. To simulated tissue differentiation process mechano-regulation theory with a deviatoric strain was implemented and a user's subroutine programmed by a Python code for an iterative calculation was used. To broadly find the appropriate rod modulus for healing bone fractures, composite IM rods were analyzed considering the stacking sequence. To compare mechanical stimulation at fracture gap, two kinds of initial loading conditions were applied. As a result, it was found that the initial loading condition was the most sensitive factor for the healing performance. In case a composite IM rod made of a plain weave carbon fiber/epoxy (WSN3k) had a stacking sequence of $[{\pm}45]_{nT}$, the healing efficiency was the most effective under a initial load of 10%BW.
