This study was conducted to analyze the wearing practice and the purchasing characteristics of household rubber gloves in order to obtain the product demands for quality improvement. The effects of wearing time per day and demographic characteristics on those were evaluated. A questionnaire was developed and administered to 494 housewives. Statistical tests such as descriptive analysis, crosstabs, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that housewives were largely divided into two groups according to the wearing time per day. One group wore gloves more than 3 hours a day, while the other wore less than 3 hours. We found that there were significant differences in the wearing practice and the purchasing characteristics between these two groups. It showed that the quality improvement of household rubber gloves should be achieved in a point of view of the comfort feeling and easiness in wearing and taking off. The housewives showed positive attitude toward pliability and necessity, while negative altitude toward dryness, comfort and mobility in wearing. The household rubber gloves were identified as the necessities which is so familiar and common that only a few of demographic characteristics have effect on.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the problem and complaint of current flight suit derived with the questionnaires. The survey was carried out to the 137 aviators in Army Aviation School from April to May, 2007. The questionnaires were composed of personal characteristics, usage characteristics, wearing characteristics and free comments. Regard to the questionnaires of usage characteristics, they wore the flight suit over 6 hours a day and over 5 days a week. For wearing convenience item in usage characteristics it was revealed that fitness, ease and the location of pocket were not proper, Also, it showed that the material characteristics(e.g. insulation, absorption, and sensation) for flight suit was not proper. Regard to the questionnaire of wearing characteristics, the most inconvenient part is crotch as the answer on the question of "unfitting part in size" and "inconvenient part when wearing". Free comments for the improvement requests are various size, material, stitch strengthening, pattern modifying, and accessories.

This study analyzed the difference of selection criteria when buying socks and wearing satisfaction related to socks according to demographic characteristics and fashion interest degree for the adults in their from 20s to 40s. Factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan multiple range test were used for data analysis. The result of factor analysis for selection criteria when buying socks showed that the drawn factors were design and coordination, hygiene and wearing comfort and practicality. The difference analysis results about selection criteria when buying socks showed that design and coordination, hygiene and wearing comfort, and practicality were significantly different according to gender, age, and occupation, and that design and coordination and practicality were significantly different according to marital status. The result of difference analysis for selection criteria when buying socks according to fashion interest degree showed that design, coordination, hygiene, wearing comfort and practicality were significantly different. The result of factor analysis for wearing satisfaction of socks showed that the drawn factors were wearing comfort, hygiene, durability, and design. The difference analysis results about wearing satisfaction of socks showed that design was significantly different according to gender and marital status, wearing comfort and design significantly different according to age, wearing comfort, hygiene, and design were significantly different according to occupation. According to fashion interest degree, wearing comfort and design showed the significant difference.

This study analyzed requirements for medical masks and difference in satisfaction based on demographic characteristics and side effects experience caused by wearing medical masks. Three factors related to requirements for medical masks were identified: wearing comfort and usability, blocking function for harmfulness, and design. As a result of the difference analysis for requirements of medical masks based on demographic characteristics, all three factors showed a significant difference in gender and occupation. Design did in age and monthly income. As a result of the presence or absence of breathing difficulties experience, design factor was significant. As a result of the presence or absence of skin trouble experience, wearing comfort and usability showed a significant difference. As a result of the difference in satisfaction with medical masks based on demographic characteristics and side effect experience caused by wearing medical masks, breathing, ear string tightness, blocking harmful substances, price, and over all wearing comfort showed a significant difference by gender, marital status, age, occupation, and monthly income, and the presence of absence of breathing difficulty experience and skin trouble experience, respectively. As a result of the interaction effect analysis between demographic characteristics and side effects experience caused by wearing medical masks, it showed a significant interaction effect between gender and monthly income, between marital status and monthly income, between monthly income and breathing difficulties experience, and between monthly income and skin trouble experience.

This study was performed to analyze the wearing practice and the purchasing characteristics of brassieres in order to offer basic data to produce superior brassiere and to improve the wearing comfort. The questionnaire were 146 Korean college female students. For data analysis, descriptive analysis, crosstabs, factor analysis and one-way ANOVA were used. The results were as follows, first, most subjects didn't know the sizing system of brassiere and their own breast size. So the degree of satisfaction of wearing brassiere was low than subjects who knew their own breast size. And they replied that the most unsatisfaction factor was brassiere size. Second, when subjects decided to purchase a brassiere they considered size, design, color, cost, fabric and brand and so on. Among them size and design were considered the most important. Third, the subjects who wear brassiere all day long, they considered wearing comfort and cost rather than design and collar. Therefore, the markets with brassieres would be able to segmented based on consumers' characteristics. Firth, the subjects were dissatisified at size, the taking off wire and shape modification after washing. And they requested the development of various size, fabric and cost improvement and fittness of brassieres. These results imply that to improve the wearing comfort of brassiere, it is so important to produce and develop various types of size first of all. And consumers should know size system of brassiere and their own breast size.

Many people who wear skinny jeans have expressed satisfaction or concern regarding the side effects of wearing the garments, based on specific demographic characteristics. For this study, we disseminated 373 copies of a questionnaire. Study subjects were eighteen-to fifty-nine-year-old man and women Linear regression was used for data analysis. Descriptive statistics included the ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan multiple range test. Corresponding results in terms of difference analysis overall were significant when based on gender, marital status, age, occupation and the average score of satisfaction. The values were approximately three points. The qualitative results of difference analysis for side effects in wearing skinny jeans according to demographic characteristics were identified as the experience of displeasure by pressure. There was a significant difference according to gender. Leg edema was also observed based on gender, marital status, age, occupation and the experience of poor circulation of blood. The factor that has the greatest influence on satisfaction on wearing skinny jeans was sitting long hours.

The main wearing slider of pantograph is a difference which is considerable to wear phenomenon according to material properties. Especially, Cu-type wearing slider suddenly occurs the abnormal wear by precipitation, this threatens the travelling safety of the train. The abnormal wear by precipitation and arc influences are main factor decided to life time of Cu-type wearing slider and contact wire. Consequently, the application of the main wearing slider with wear resisting capacity, electrical conductivity, resistance arc and lubrication is demanded. In this paper through tribologic approach, overcame abnormal phenomenon of the Cu-type wearing slider by the precipitation and for the economic efficient augmentation by durability improvement and the travelling safety were accomplished. The Cu-type wearing slider which has excellent electric conductivity and arc characteristic but it occurs the normal and abnormal wear phenomenon according the precipitation which changes, respectively. Consequently, this phenomenon grasps fixed quantity according to precipitation, a mileage and wear volume then Fe-type wearing slider compared and analyzed.

This study was performed to analyze the wearing practice and the purchasing characteristics of jeans in order to offer basic data to produce superior jeans made of denim with small flexibility and to improve the wearing comfort. The questionnaire were 236 Korean women from the age of 10th to 50th. For data analysis, descriptive analysis and crosstabs were used. The results were as follows, in the purchasing characteristics, when the women of 10th to 30th decided to purchase jeans they considered fashion, design and price rather than wearing comfort. But the women of 40th to 50th considered that wearing comfort is the most important factor. The 10th is found the best preferred jean is wide straight style, the 20th is straight style, the 30th is boots cut style and the 40th to 50th is straight style. In wearing practice, there was a difference among age groups on the region that felt uncomfortable when wearing jeans. As the age increases, the abdomen size also increases. Most people answered that they mend jeans after purchase for length, without any relation with age. The reason why consumers prefer jeans with middle length between the crotch and waist and also purchase jeans with a short length is because they look refined and neat. This informs us that the short length between the crotch and waist does not match with ease and comfort, which are the images of jeans in the past. Recently premium jean brands are competing to show Low Rise Jeans, which seems like a Premium Jean=Low Rise Jean formula is created. Some manufacture companies are recklessly copying foreign designs that does not fit Korean's body shape. However, as mentioned in this study results, there is a clear difference between designs that they think consider as aesthetic and functional. Therefore, it is considered necessary for developing designs for jeans that can satisfy both aesthetic appreciation and functions for Korean consumer's body shape and each age group.

This study analyzed the attitude and effect of middle-age women on wearing girdles. Through this examination, we investigated types of girdles worn by middle-age women and compared and analyzed characteristics among types. By identifying middle-age women's need to wear girdles, this study enables effective development of girdles for middle-age women. Middle-age women's types of wearing girdles were analyzed according to three types of women wearing girdles: hate type, wearing preference type and inconvenience acceptance type. The hate type woman is frustrated with wearing a girdle because it impedes blood circulation, digestion, and causes fatigue. The wearing preference type woman wears a girdle to feel psychological satisfaction and self-confidence and thinks that wearing a girdle pushes the abdomen and supports the hip (hip-up effect). Women strongly agreed that body shape is made beautiful and the silhouette of the lower body is made beautiful by wearing a girdle. The inconvenience acceptance type of woman thinks it is inconvenient to wear a girdle, but nevertheless is satisfied with wearing a girdle. Based on findings of this study, development of girdles considering body shapes of middle-age women, development of soft materials and improvements facilitating dressing methods are needed.

전동차의 집전장치용 주습판은 형태와 재질에 따라 마모현상에 상당한 차이가 있으며 특히, 강수량에 따른 이상마모, 아크에의한 급격한 이상마모는 전차선과 주습판의 수명을 결정하는 주요인자로 작용한다. 본 연구는 현차 실험을 통하여 우수한 전기전도도 및 내아크성을 가진 동계주습판의 마모현상을 정상마모 특성이 관찰된 동계주습판과 우천 시 국부적으로 이상마모 특성이 관찰된 동계주습판에 대하여 강수량, 주행거리 및 주습판의 교환 후 중량을 상호 비교하여 분석하였다. 트라이볼로지적 접근을 통하여 내마모성 등이 우수한 철계습판체의 적용 필요성을 본 실험적 연구를 통하여 제안하였다.
