In order to properly evaluate ITS services exposed in SMART Highway project, a confident dynamic origin-destination (OD) is inevitably needed. This paper used WAVE communication information as a part of call and response (C&R) communication which constitutes core part of the technology for constructing OD. This information includes node information and vehicle information (e.g., latitude and longitude) as well as trajectory data and sample path volume date calculated using node information and vehicle information. A procedure developed to construct a dynamic OD and to validate OD is consist of 1) making toy network and one-hour 00 (random distribution), 2) collecting link information and vehicle information, 3) constructing five-minute OD, and 4) validating estimated OD result using traffic volume and travel time simultaneously. The constructed OD is about 84.79% correct within less than 20% error range for 15min traffic volume, and about 85.42%, within less than 20% error rate of 15 min travel time. Some limitations and future research agenda have also been discussed.

It is necessary to predict the ship's manoeuvrabilities in waves for its safe operations in adverse weather. At the early design stage, free-running model tests can be performed to estimate the ship's manoeuvring performance in irregular wave conditions. The wave elevations are randomly varied with times in irregular waves, large deviations of the manoeuvring performance indices are likely to occur depending on the start time of steering scenarios. In this study, a KSUPRAMAX model ship's manoeuvres in long-crested irregular waves are reproduced in the equivalent regular waves. The equivalent regular waves are searched from the energy flux relations between long-crested irregular and regular waves. But there are differences of forward speeds in the model tests, regular wave height and period are modified so that both the forward speed and the trajectory drift in regular waves are similar to those in irregular waves. In addition, low speed course-keeping tests are performed with various wave incident angles in irregular and regular waves. It is confirmed that check helms, drift angles, and speeds as well as trajectories in irregular waves are similar to those in equivalent regular waves.

A projectile when passes through a moving shock wave, experiences drastic changes in the aerodynamic forces as it moves from a high-pressure region to a low pressure region. These sudden changes in the forces are attributed to the wave structures produced by the projectile-flow field interaction, and are responsible for destabilizing the trajectory of the projectile. These flow fields are usually encountered in the vicinity of the launch tube exit of a ballistic range facility, thrusters, retro-rocket firings, silo injections, missile firing ballistics, etc. In earlier works, projectile was assumed in a steady flow field when the computations start and the blast wave maintains a constant strength. However, in real situations, the projectile produces transient effects in the flow field which have a deterministic effect on the overtaking process. In the present work, the overtaking problem encountered in the near-field of muzzle guns is investigated for several projectile Mach numbers. Computations have been carried out using a chimera mesh scheme. The results show that, the unsteady wave structures are completely different from that of the steady flow field where the blast wave maintains a constant strength, and the supersonic and subsonic overtaking conditions cannot be distinguished by identifying the projectile bow shock wave only.

This paper presents a frequency-response test performed on an antagonistic actuation system consisting of two Mckibben pneumatic artificial muscles and a pneumatic circuit with pressure valves. Varying switching frequency to pressure valves from 0.1 Hz to 5 Hz, parameters of a linear model were estimated optimally to predict dynamic characteristics of the antagonistic actuation. A model-base control scheme with estimated parameters was built for the precise trajectory tracking of the antagonistic structure and realized on a reconfigurable embedded control system, CompactRIO. Experimental results showed that the proposed model-based control scheme gave good performance in trajectory tracking comparing with a PD control scheme when square wave and sinusoidal wave were given as references to follow.
Objectives: The current study aims to examine whether the influence of National Long-term Care Insurance(NLCI) on the quality of life(QoL) trajectory of older adults with disabilities is more positive than its influence on those without disabilities. Methods: Sample consisted of 5,362 elderly aged 65 and over who participated in the Korean Welfare Panel Study from Wave1 to Wave7. Data were analyzed using latent growth curve modeling. Results: Major findings are as follows. (1) Before the NLCI, the trajectories of QoL between older adults with disabilities and those without were same. (2) After the NLCI, elders with disabilities showed lower levels of QoL at the beginning, but the gaps gradually decreased with time. These results indicate that the implementation of NLCI more positively affected elders with disabilities than those without disabilities. Conclusions: These results suggest that the NLCI functions properly as one of social security nets to cope with the needs of older adults with disabilities. In conclusion, it is critical to develop a sustainable NLCI system to enhance the QoL of older adults with disabilities.
Purpose: This study examined the influence of visuomotor congruency on learning a relative phase relationship between a single joint movement and an external signal. Methods: Participants (N=5) were required to rhythmically coordinate elbow flexion-extension movements with a continuous sinusoidal wave (0.375 Hz) at a $90^{\circ}$ relative phase relationship. The congruent group was provided online feedback in which the elbow angle decreased (corresponding to elbow flexion) as the angle trajectory was movingup, and vice versa. The incongruent group was provided online feedback in which the elbow angle decreased as the angle trajectory was moving down, and vice versa. There were two practice sessions (day 1 and 2) and each session consisted of 6 trials per block (5 blocks per session). Retention tests were performed 24 hours after session 2, and only the external sinusoidal wave was provided. Repeated ANOVAs were used for statistical analysis. Results: During practice, the congruent group was significantly less variable than the incongruent group. Phase variability in the incongruent group did not significantly change across blocks, while variability decreased significantly in the congruent group. In retention, the congruent group produced the required $90^{\circ}$ relative phase pattern with significantly less phase variability than the incongruent group. Conclusions: Congruent visual feedback facilitates learning. Moreover, the deprivation of online feedback does not affect the congruent group but does affect the incongruent group in retention.

The numerical experiment has been conducted to investigate the unsteady shock wave reflecting phenomena. The cell-vertex finite-volume, Roe's upwind flux difference splitting method with unstructured grid is implemented to solve unsteady Euler equations. The $4^{th}$-order Runge-Kutta method is applied for time integration. A linear reconstruction of the flux vector using the least-square method is applied to obtain the $2^{nd}$-order accuracy for the spatial derivatives. For a better resolution of the shock wave and slipline, the dynamic grid adaptation technique is adopted. The new concept of grid adaptation technique, which is much simpler than that of conventional techniques, is introduced for the current study. Three error indicators (divergence and curl of velocity, and gradient of density) are used for the grid adaptation procedure. Considering the quality of the solution and the numerical efficiency, the grid adaptation procedure was updated up to $2^{nd}$ level at every 20 time steps. For the convenience of comparison with other experimental and analytical results, the case of interaction between the straight incoming shock wave and a sharp wedge is simulated for various flow conditions. The numerical results show good agreement with other experimental and analytical results, in the shock wave reflecting structure, slipline, and the trajectory of the triple points. Some critical cases show disagreement with the analytical results, but these cases also have been proven to show hysteresis phenomena.

The results of a numerical study on the performance of a propeller operating near a free surface are presented. The numerical simulations were performed for the various advance coefficients and the submergence depths of the model propeller. The effects of the model propeller size were investigated using two different model propeller sizes for all cases. The wave pattern of the free surface and the flow structure around the propeller as well as the hydrodynamic characteristics of the propeller were investigated through simulation results. The thrust and torque fluctuated and the trajectory of the tip vortex was distorted due to the interaction with the free surface. The wave pattern of the free surface was related to the tip vortex of the propeller. The decreases in thrust and torque at the small model propeller were greater than those of the large model propeller. The reduction rate of the thrust and torque increased with the advance coefficient.
In recent years, significant progress has been made in modeling turbulence behavior in plasma and its effect on transport. It has also been made in diagnostics for turbulence measurement; however, there is still a large gap between theoretical model and experimental measurements. Visualization of turbulence can improve the connection to theory and validation of the theoretical model. One method to visualize the flow structures in plasma is a laser Schlieren imaging technique. We have recently applied this technique and investigated the characteristics of a highly underexpanded pulsed plasma jet originating from an electrothermal capillary source. Measurements include temporally resolved laser Schlieren imaging of a precursor blast wave. Analysis on the trajectory of the precursor blast wave shows that it does not follow the scaling expected for a strong shock resulting from the instantaneous deposition of energy at a point. However, the shock velocity does scale as the square root of the deposited energy, in accordance with the point deposition approximation.
Purpose: This study investigated the trajectory of subjective health status in married postmenopausal women and aimed to identify predictive factors affecting subjective health status. Methods: Data were obtained from women who participated in wave 4 (2012) of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families Longitudinal Study and continued to the latest phase (wave 7, 2018). A latent growth model (LGM) was used to analyze data from 1,719 married postmenopausal women in the framework of the ecological system theory. Results: The mean age of the participants at wave 4 was 56.39±4.71 years, and the average subjective health status was around the midpoint (3.19±0.84). LGM analysis confirmed that subjective health status decreased over time (initial B=3.21, slope B=-0.03). The factors affecting initial subjective health were age, body mass index, frequency of vigorous physical activity (microsystem level), marital satisfaction (mesosystem level), and medical service utilization (macrosystem level). Medical service utilization and the frequency of vigorous physical activity were identified as predictive factors affecting the slope in subjective health status. The model fit was satisfactory (TLI=.92, CFI=.95, and RMSEA=.04). Conclusion: This analysis of the trajectory of subjective health status of married postmenopausal women over time confirmed that subjective health is influenced by overall ecological system factors, including the microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem, and chronosystem. Therefore, it is necessary to assess physical activity and support policies promoting access to medical services in order to improve the subjective health status of married postmenopausal women.
