Slow-wave 특성을 이용한 3 dB 전력 분배기 설계 (A Design of 3 dB Power Divider using Slow-wave Characteristic)

  • 본 논문에서는 마이크로스트립 구조에서의 접지변에 식각된 패턴을 갖는 PBG(Photonic Bandgap) 구조의 S Slow-wave 특성을 이용한 전력 분배기 설계에 대해 연구하였다. 또한 제시된 PBG 구조는 전송선로의 특성 임피던스를 변화시켜 기존 구조에 비해 선로의 폭을 넓게 할 수 있고 Slow-wave 특성에 의해 소자의 크기가 감소된 Wilkinson 3 dB 전력 분배기를 설계하였다. 제시된 임의의 PBG 구조를 산란 파라미터로부터 전송선로의 특성 임피던스와 전기적 길이를 추출하여 응 용하는 방법을 제시하였고 같은 모양의 결손(defect)을 추가함으로써 그 영향을 고찰하였다. 제시된 방법으로 구현된 전력분배기의 측정 결과는 시율레이션 결과와 잘 일치함을 보였다.

유한 길이 구조물과 무한 길이 도파관 구조물의 임피던스 연성을 이용한 진동 해석 (Vibration Analysis for Infinite Length Waveguide Structures Connected with Finite Length Structures Using Impedance Coupling)

  • 무한 길이를 가진 도파관 구조물에 유한 길이를 가진 구조물이 결합되어 있는 경우, 결합된 구조물의 응답을 수치해석으로 구하기 위해서는 파동 방법과 모드 방법을 함께 적용하여 해석하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 무한 길이 도파관구조물에 대해서는 파수유한요소법을, 유한 길이 구조물에 대해서는 유한요소법을 적용하여 결합 지점에서의 각 하부 구조물 임피던스 또는 모빌리티를 구하고 이를 연성하여 전체 구조물의 응답을 해석하는 방법에 대하여 다루었다. 해석 대상 구조물로는 내부에 사각 평판 구조물이 네 꼭지점에서 결합되어 있는 무한 길이 원통형 실린더를 선정하였으며, 네 결합지점이 강결합 또는 탄성마운트로 결합된 경우에 대하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구를 통해 임피던스 연성을 통한 파동 방법(파수유한요소법)과 모드 방법(유한요소법)의 결합이 적용 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • When an object or objects, rigid or flexible, presents in incident sound field, the sound wave is scattered. This, we call, is scattered sound field. It, of course, depends on the amplitude and the direction of the incident sound field as well as the geometry and the surface impedance of the scatterer(object). This paper addresses the way to measure scattered sound field by using arbitrary incident sound wave. This means that the method can decompose the scattered field from measured sound field with respect to any magnitudes and directions of incident plane-waves.

  • There are many difficulties to get the scattered field generated by obstacle which has arbitrary shape or irregular surface impedance by using analytic solution or numerical methods. In this study, we propose a method of which makes acoustic scattering holography that can predict the far-field scattered field based on nearfield measurements. This method provides the scattered fields of each wave-number components of incident fields. We express the relationship of wave-number components between incident fields and scattered fields using scattering matrix which is transfer matrix of wave-number components. Lastly, we prove the relation between wave-number components of incident and scattered field by experiments. The errors which are caused by measurements and decomposition methods are also analyzed.

Two-Layered Microwave Absorber of Ferrite and Carbon Fiber Composite Substrate

  • Microwave absorbing properties of ferrite-epoxy composite (absorbing layer) attached on the carbon fiber polymer composite (reflective substrate) are analyzed on the basis of wave propagation theory. A modified equation for wave-impedance-matching at the front surface of absorbing layer including the effect of electrical properties of the quasi-conducting substrate is proposed. Based on this analysis, the frequency and layer dimension that produce zero-reflection can be estimated from the intrinsic material properties of the obsorbing layer and the substrate. It is demonstrated that the microwave reflectivity of carbon fiber composite has a strong influence on the microwave absorbance of front magnetic layer.

Discrimination of Arcing Faults from Normal Distribution Disturbances by Wave form Distortion Analysis

  • Detection of arcing high impedance faults has been a perplexing in the power distribution protection. Transient analysis of distribution disturbances for fault discrimination from other normal events is important for a secure protection of the power system. A simple parameter of wave form distortion quantification is used to analyze the behaviors of arcing faults and normal distribution disturbances. Theoretical perspectives of the transients were studied and actual disturbances were examined. From this investigation, a discrimination guideline based on the revised crest factor is developed. The discrimination method has a high potential to enhance the reliability and security for the distribution system protection.

무전해 도금법에 의한 전자파 차단 의류소재의 제조 (Preparation of Electromagnetic Wave Shielding Fabrics by Electroless Plating)

  • The purpose of this study was to produce the high quality of electromagnetic wave shielding fabrics. In this study, we have produced polyester fabrics by electroless Ag plating. The untreated polyester was etched with $4\%$ NaOH solution added accelerant(Benzyl Dimethyl Dodecyl Ammonium Chloride) then it was catalyzed by $SnCl_2$ solution and activated by $PdCl_2$ solution. Electroless Ag plating was carried out by changing conditions such as temperature. time, weight loss rate of polyester and kind of reducing agents. The electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness of polyester fabric by electroless Ag plating was measured by RF Impedance Analyzer and element of electromagnetic wave shielding substance was measured using Electron probe micro analyzer. The results were as follows; The plating bath using potassium sodium tartrate by reducing agent was excellent electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness. Element of electromagnetic wave shielding substance was silver. Electromagnetic wave shielding effectiveness was shown over 64dB at the temperature of $40^{\circ}C$, treating time 30min., weight loss rate $20\%$.

GaAs MMIC상에서 주기적으로 천공된 홀을 가지는 접지 금속막 구조를 이용한 전송선로 특성연구 및 코프레너 선로를 이용한 온칩 초소형 임피던스 변환기에의 응용 (A Study on Characteristics of the Transmission Line Employing Periodically Perforated Ground Metal on GaAs MMIC and Its Application to Highly Miniaturized On-chip Impedance Transformer Employing Coplanar Waveguide)

  • In this paper, basic characteristics of transmission line employing PPGM (periodically perforated ground metal) were investigated using theoretical and experimental analysis.According to the results, unlike the conventional PBG (photonic band gap) structures, the characteristic impedance of the transmission line employing PPGM structure showed a real value, which exhibited a very small dependency on frequency. The transmission line employing PPGM structure showed a loss (per quarter wave length) higher by $0.1{\sim}0.2\;dB$ than the conventional microstrip line. According to the investigation of the dependency of RF characteristic on ground condition, the RF characteristic of the transmission line employing PPGM structure was hardly affected by the ground condition in the frequency lower than Ku band, but fairly affected in the frequency higher than Ku band, which indicated that coplanar waveguide employing PPGM structure was optimal for RF characteristic and reduction of size. Considering above results, impedance transformer was developed using coplanar waveguide with PPGM structure for the first time, and good RF characteristics were observed from the impedance transformer. In case that {\lambda}/4$ impedance transformer with a center frequency of 9 GHz was fabricated for a impedance transformation from 20 to10 {\Omega}$, the line width and length were 20 and $500\;{\mu}m$, respectively, and its size was only 0.64 % of the impedance transformer fabricated with conventional microstrip lines. Above results indicate that the transmission line employing PPGM is a promising candidate for a development of matching and passive elements on MMIC.

전력선 통신 시스템의 입력 임피던스 계산 (Input Impedance Calculation of the Power Line Communication System)

  • 본 논문에서는 중 전압 전력선을 이용한 전력선 통신대 LC) 네트워크의 입력임피던스를 계산하였다. 먼저 전송 선로 모델을 이용하여 전력선 통신 네트워크의 입출력 단 모델을 제시하였으며, 여기에 전력선의 방사성 손실, 도체손실, 유전체 손실 등에 의한 감쇠상수를 적용시켜 임피던스를 계산하였다 계산결과 방사성 손실에 의한 강쇠 가 가장 크게 나타났으며, 전력선의 특정임피던스가 매우커서 입력 단에서의 반사가 심하기 때문에 입력임피던스 가 일정한 주기를 가지는 정재파 형태로 나타남을 알 수 있었다 또한 입력임피던스의 주기는 동축선로의 길이에 주로 의존하고, 크기는 주로 전력선의 특성임피던스 및 손실에 의존하였다 실제 측정결과 계산 치와 측정치가 매 우 유사함을 알 수 있었다.
