흰찰쌀보리 가루를 이용한 제빵특성 연구 1. 흰찰쌀보리-밀가루 혼합분 박죽의 물성 (Study on Bread-making Quality with Mixture of Waxy Barley-Wheat Flour 1. Rheological Properties of Dough Made with Waxy Barley-Wheat Flour Mixture)

  • Rheological properties of dough made from waxy barley(Iri28) flour wheat flour mixtures with additives were investigated for the preparation of waxy barley bread using farinograph, extensograph and amy lograph. The water absorption, development time and dough weakness increased as the waxy barley flour level increased in all blends; however, dough stability decreased. Farinogram properties of 10% waxy barley flour added mixture were similar to those of 100% wheat flour. The addition of A.A(ascorbic acid), gluten, HPMC(hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose) improved rheological properties of dough with 30% waxy barley flour added mixture. In particular, stability and weakness of the dough showed greater dough improving effect by addition of A.A. For the extensograph data, strength, resistance and extensibility of dough decreased with increasing level of waxy barley flour. With the addition of additives, extensogram properties were variable for 30% waxy barley flour mixture. Of these additives, gluten had highest value in strength of dough. Addition of A.A and HPMC to 30% waxy barley flour added mixture resulted in an increase in the resistance and a decrease in the extensibility. Waxy barley flour added mixtures showed little higher gelatinization temperature on amylograph data than control. Maximum viscosity reduced as the waxy barley flour level increased. Also 30% waxy barley flour added mixture containing A.A and HPMC showed a decrease in maximum viscosity. But addition of gluten to 30% waxy barley flour mixture resulted an increase in the maximum viscosity. All of 30% waxy barley flour added mixture with additives had lower gelatinization temperature than those without additives. In the SEM images, starch granules were dispersed in a protein matrix. A non continuous, loose protein starch matrix was observed in all waxy barley flour mixture by SEM. Addition of additives gave the dough a more continuous structure with interactions between the starch granule and protein component.

Experimental Reinforcement Agent for Damaged Walls of Payathonzu Temple Murals in Bagan, Myanmar

  • This study focuses on reinforcement agents for wall damage, such as cracks, breakage, or delamination, for mural paintings from the Payathonzu temple. Experiments were conducted with filling and grouting agents based on the reinforcing method. In the filling reinforcement experiment, different mixing ratios of lime to sand, and additives (jaggery, seaweed glue, and Primal SF-016) were used. In the grouting reinforcement experiment, the mixing ratio of lime and pozzolan was the same, and the additive types were identical to the filling reinforcement experiment. The filling reinforcement experiment showed that there were fewer physical changes such as contraction, with a greater mixing ratio of lime to sand, however, the compressive strength decreased as the mixing ratio increased. With additives, the change in volume of agent decreased and the compressive strength increased, which was especially prominent for jaggery and Primal SF-016. The grouting reinforcement experiment showed that there was a remarkable contraction with an increased amount of moisture that originates from the characteristic of grouting agents that requires flowability. With additives, the water content of the agent decreased, whereas the compressive strength and adhesion increased. Among the additives, Primal SF-016 exhibited the highest compressive strength, and seaweed glue exhibited the most considerable viscosity and adhesion. The study results showed that the characteristics of reinforcement agents vary according to the mixing ratio and additives of the filling and grouting agents. Therefore, it is necessary to selectively apply the mixing ratio and additives for different reinforcement agents considering the wall damage for conservation treatments.

Determination of Aspirin Tablet Manufacturers by an NMR-based Metabolomic Approach

  • Aspirin or acetylsalicylic acid, a member of the salicylate family, is frequently used as an analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and antiplatelet drug. Because aspirin is chemically unstable in water and heat for tablet formulation, additives including lubricants are used in preparing aspirin tablets, using a dry-granulation process. Aspirin tablets are produced by a number of manufacturers which usually use their own unique combination of additives during the manufacturing process. In this study, we employed an NMR based metabolomics technique to identify the manufacturers of various aspirin tablets. Aspirin tablets from six different companies were analyzed by 1H 400 MHz NMR. The acquired data was then integrated and processed by principal component analysis (PCA). Based on the NMR data, we were able to identify peaks corresponding to acetylsalicylic acid in all of the six samples, whereas different NMR patterns were found in the aromatic and aliphatic regions depending on the unique additive used. These observations led to the conclusion that the differences in the NMR patterns among the different aspirin tablets were due to the presence of additives.

  • Shrimp has efficient non-specific defense mechanisms based on activities of the hemocytes against pathogens. Up to now, it has been known that one of the non-specific immune reactions is related to mutual association among types of hemocyte, granular cell, semi-granular cell, and hyaline cell. In this study, we tried to know the effectiveness of feed-additives such as 5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA), chitosan, and hot-water extract of herb on immunity of shrimp (Penaeus chinensis) by hemocytic observation and SDS-PAGE analysis. Finally, we suggest a principle of the examination system for effects of various feed-additives.

야초 사일리지의 품질향상에 관한 연구 I. 칡 사일리지 제조에 있어서 물, 전분, 포도당 첨가효과 (Studies on the Quality of Silage from Domeestic Herbage I. Effects of water , corn starch and glucose as additives on Kudzu ( Puerarie thunbergii Bentham ) silage)

  • 本 실험은 등과야초인 칡에 당분을 첨가한 사일리지를 조제하여 사료배치를 향상시키기 위하여 실시하였다.칡은 줄기와 잎을 2.0~2.5cm로 절단하여 2l들이 플라스틱 용기에 물8% 첨가한 사일리지, 물8%와 전분3%첨가한 사일리지, 물8%와 포도당3% 첨가한 사일리지 그리고 아무것도 첨가하지 않은 칡 사일리지를 조제하였으며 이들과 옥수수 사일리지를 비교하였다. 사일리지의 발표품질인 유기산과 조직성분의 특성(NOF, AOF, AOL)과 pepsin-cellulase 에 의한 건물消化率(OMO)을 예정하였던 바 결과는 다음과 같이 要約된다. 1. 모든 처리의 칡 사일리지는 10% 이상의 무게 손실이었다. 2. pH에 있어서 포도당첨가 칡 사일리지가3.80, 전분첨가 칡 사일리지가 4.04, 대조구의 칡 사일리지가 4.57 그리고 물만을 첨가한 칡 사일리지는 5.34 순위로 높았다. 3. 유산함량에 있어서는 옥수수 사일리지(1.93 %), 포도당첨가 칡 사일리지 (1.89%), 전분첨가 칡 사일리지(1. 31 %), 대조구의 칡 사일리지 (0.57%), 그리고 물만을 첨가한 칡 사일리지(0.44%) 순위로 낮았다. 4. Fliegs 평점은 대조구의 칡 사일리지 22, 물첨가만의 칡 사일리지가 60, 전분 첨가한 칡 사일리지가 87이었으며, 옥수수 사일리지와 칡 사일리지는 각각 100이었다. 5. 칡 사일리지의 조단白質含量은 13.50-15.59%로서 처리간 유의성이 없었다 (P>0.05). 6. 포도당과 전분을 첨가한 힘 사열리지의 NO-F, ADF, ADL含量이 다른 處리구에 비해 유의적으로 감소되었다. (P< O. 05). 7. 포도당과 전분을 첨가한 칡 사일리지의 건물消化率은 다른 처리에 비하여 크게 增加하였다(P <0.05). 8. pH (X)와 총산(Y) 과의는 Y=-0.70X +4.96 (P< 0.01), 유산(X)과 세포내용울(Y) 과는 Y=10.61X+25.84 (P< 0.05). 그리고 리그닌 (X)과 건물소화율(Y)과는 Y=-2.48X +74.35 (P<0.05)이였다.

  • The effects on pool boiling heat transfer of aqueous solutions of boric acid ($H_3BO_3$) and sodium chloride (NaCl) as working fluids have been studied. Borated and NaCl water were prepared by dissolving 0.5~5% volume concentration of boric acid and NaCl in distilled-deionized water. The pool boiling tests were conducted using $1{\times}1\;cm^2$ flat heaters at 1 atm. The critical heat flux (CHF) dramatically increased compared to boiling pure water. At the end of boiling tests it was observed that particles of boric acid and NaCl had deposited and formed a coating on the heater surface. The CHF enhancement and surface modification during boiling tests were very similar to those obtained from boiling with nanofluids. Additional experiments were carried out to investigate the reliability of the additives deposition in pure water. The boric acid and NaCl coatings disappeared after repeated boiling tests on the same surface due to the soluble nature of the coatings, thus CHF enhancement no longer existed. These results demonstrate that not only insoluble nanoparticles but also soluble salts can be deposited during boiling process and the deposited layer is solely responsible for significant CHF enhancement.

수축보상을 위한 자기충전 콘크리트의 현장적용 (A Field Application of the Self-Compaction Concrete for Shrinkage Compensation)

  • The purpose of this study is to design and to apply the self-compaction concrete mixture to field, having not only high strength but also compensation for shrinkage without thermal crack under 4 sides outer restraint of the member. In the experimental mix, replacement ratio of limestone Powder, CSA expansive additives, and unit water were selected as parameters, using portland blast-furnace slag cement. And, bleeding test, expansibility test, hydration heat analysis were performed. As a results, when Cement is replaced with 35% limestone Powder, 6% CSA expansive additives at unit water 175kg/$m^3$, demanded performances of fresh and hardened self-compaction concrete are accomplished in the field application.

플럭스액의 첨가제에 의한 용융아연도금 공정개선 (Improvement of Hot Dip Galvanizing Process by Additive to Flux Solution)

  • Many surface protection methods have been developed to apply to constructional steels which have been used under severe corrosive environments. One of these methods, hot dip galvanizing is being widely used to the numerous constructional steels such as a guard rail of high way, various types of structural steel for manufacturing ship and for some other industrial fields etc.. Recently, the cost of zinc is getting higher and higher, thus, it is considered that improvement of hot dip galvanizing process to reduce the cost of production should be developed possibly. In this study, additives such as acid cleaning solution, $NH_4OH$, $Al(OH)_3$ and $H_2O_2$ were added to flux solution, and omission of water washing treatment after acid cleaning was investigated with some types of flux solutions added with some additives mentioned above. The decrement of pH by adding the acid cleaning solution could be controlled due to neutralization reaction with addition of $NH_4OH$. The flux solution added with both $NH_4OH$ and $Al(OH)_3$ exhibited nearly the same color and pH value as those of orignal flux solution with no added, and the sample dipped to the flux solution which was added with additives mentioned above indicated a relatively good corrosion resistance compared to other samples. However, the flux solution added with $NH_4OH$, $Al(OH)_3$ and $H_2O_2$ exhibited a different color, sediment and a bad corrosion resistance. Consequently, it is considered that omission of water washing treatment may be able to perform by adding optimum additives to the original flux solution.
