청소년들의 독서동기 요인으로서 북트레일러의 효용성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effectiveness of Book Trailers as an Element of Reading Motivation for Teenagers)

  • 현대사회의 청소년은 책을 많이 읽지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이들을 독서활동으로 유인하기 위한 기초적 조사로 청소년의 독서동기에 미치는 북트레일러의 효용성을 조사하였다. 이를 위해 (1) 독서와 북트레일러에 대한 기본적 인식, (2) 북트레일러 시청 후의 인식, (3) AIDMA & AISAS 하위요소에 적용한 독자행동반응에 관한 설문을 마련하고, 중고등학교 학생 121명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 그 결과 청소년의 독서동기에서 북트레일러가 서평과 같은 인쇄매체보다 훨씬 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 선호하는 북트레일러 유형은 스토리전개형으로, 선호하는 북트레일러의 구성요소는 책의 줄거리, 배경음악, 영상효과 순으로 나타났다. 또한 청소년 독자행동반응을 조사한 결과 책에 대한 관심과 흥미, 책에 대한 기억, 책을 읽고 싶은 욕구와 정보검색, 북트레일러 제작 등 모든 영역에서 매우 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 북트레일러가 독서동기부여 및 독서표현활동으로 매우 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다는 것을 보여주는 결과이다.

시청피로 저감형 S3D 영상 재생 시스템 구현 및 실시간 처리를 위한 알고리즘 연산량 분석 (Implementation of Stereoscopic 3D Video Player System Having Less Visual Fatigue and Its Computational Complexity Analysis for Real-Time Processing)

  • 최근 박스 오피스 상위권 작품들의 상당수가 Stereoscopic 3D 상영을 병행하고 있으며 삼성, LG 등 세계 유수 가전업체들이 3DTV 판촉에 열을 올리고 있다. 그러나 사람마다 양쪽 눈동자 간격이 다르고 시청 거리와 위치도 개인마다 다르다는 점을 무시한 채 동일한 양안 시차로 제작된 3D 컨텐츠를 시청하게 될 경우 실세계에서 느끼는 입체감과 커다란 괴리가 발생하게 되어 극심한 시각 피로와 두통을 유발하게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 양안 시차와 시청 거리를 반영하여 입체 컨텐츠를 실시간으로 보정, 재생하는 S3D 렌더링 시스템을 제안 및 구현하고 그 연산 복잡도를 분석한다. 분석 결과 Optical Flow 알고리즘 블록은 한 프레임당 수행 시간이 최대 732초에 이르러 반드시 하드웨어 가속기 형태로 전용칩화할 필요가 있음을 확인하였고 Warping 알고리즘 처리 블록도 프레임당 최대 5.7초의 시간이 필요해 HD급 또는 1080p Full HD 화면 재생을 위해서는 함께 전용칩화 할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다.

Associations between dietary patterns and screen time among Korean adolescents

  • Data are limited on the association between dietary patterns and screen time among Korean adolescents. The present study identified dietary patterns of 691 adolescents, aged 13-18 years, who had participated in the Third Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES III) and analyzed their associations with screen time. Screen time was defined as the time spent watching TV, using a computer, or playing video games was calculated as a sum of all these times. Dietary patterns and their factor scores were derived from a food frequency questionnaire using the factor analysis method. To analyze the association between dietary patterns and screen time, we conducted multiple linear regression analysis. We also performed multiple logistic regression analysis to estimate odds ratios (OR) of excessive screen time (2 hours or longer per day) and 95% confidence intervals (CI). We identified 2 dietary patterns labeled "the Korean healthy dietary pattern" and "the Western diet and fast foods pattern". The former included mixed grains, legumes, potatoes, red meat, eggs, fish, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, seaweeds, and mushrooms, whereas the latter included noodles, bread, red meat, poultry, fast foods, snack, and soft drinks. After controlling for potential confounding factors, factor scores for the Korean healthy dietary pattern were inversely associated (P-value for trend < 0.01) and those for the Western diet and fast foods pattern were positively associated with the screen time (P-value for trend < 0.01). Adolescents in the top tertile of the scores for the Korean healthy dietary pattern had a multivariable-adjusted OR [95% CI] of 0.44 (0.25-0.75) for excessive screen time compared with those in the lowest tertile. On the basis of these findings, adolescents who have excessive screen time may need to be encouraged to consume a more healthy diet.

지상파와 종편·케이블 채널 간 프로그램의 화제성·프로그램 주목도와 능동적 시청의 관계 연구 (The Relationship between Program Talk of the Town, Program Attention and Active Viewing among Ground Wave Channel, TV Channels of Comprehensive Programming, Cable TV)

  • 본방송보다 OTT를 통한 프로그램 시청이 증가한 상황에서 이 연구는 인터넷을 통해 프로그램을 시청하는 동인을 프로그램 화제성과 프로그램 주목도로 보고, 이 변인들과 인터넷을 통한 TV 시청간의 관계를 분석했다. 능동적 시청을 동영상 조회, 좋아요, 댓글로 측정했다. 분석 대상 프로그램을 지상파와 종편 케이블 TV로 구분해서 분석한 결과 지상파 프로그램은 보도 량이 높으면 조회 수도 높았고, 댓글 수도 많았다. 종편과 케이블 프로그램도 보도 량이 높으면 조회 수가 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 가입자가 적은 종편과 케이블은 시청률이 지상파에 비해 낮은 반면, 본방송보다는 인터넷을 통해 시청하는 사람들이 많다는 것을 보여준다. 보도 량이 조회 수에 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀진 만큼 방송사는 언론 보도를 통한 화제성에 주목할 필요가 있다.

Comparison of Craniovertebral Angle and Muscle Properties after Smartphone Use in Healthy Individuals with and without Forward Head Posture

  • Purpose : Forward head posture (FHP) is one of the most common postural malalignment of the cranio-cervical region. Previous studies have reported that FHP might affect both temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and cervical muscles, but still remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to compare the changes of craniovertebral angle (CVA) and muscle properties after smartphone use in healthy individuals with and without FHP. Methods : Fifteen healthy individuals aged 18 to 22 years were included. CVA was evaluated using Dartfish motion analysis, and the subjects were divided into two groups according to their CVA: a FHP group (n = 7, CVA less than 48 °) and a control group (n = 8, CVA more than 48 °). MyotonPro was used to measure muscle properties of masseter, digastric and sternocleidomastoid muscles (SCM). Each subject underwent 15-minutes of smartphone task (web browsing or video watching) in relaxed sitting posture. CVA and muscles properties were assessed both before and after the smartphone task. Results : There were significant changes in post measurements of CVA between the groups. Masseter muscle showed significant differences in pre and post measurements of all muscle properties, and digastric muscle showed significance only in muscle tone. Amount of changes (post-pre), however, showed no significant difference in this study. Conclusion : 15-minutes of smartphone task did not affect CVA and muscle properties of masseter, digastric and SCM in both groups, however, there were significant changes in pre and post measurements of CVA and some muscle properties of masseter and digastric muscles. Therefore, CVA, masseter and digastric muscles might be significantly changed in a heavy duration of smartphone usage more than 15-minutes. Further studies are needed regarding duration of smartphone task, assessments in other various TMJ muscle groups, and participants with pathological FHP conditions.

라이브 커머스의 의사사회적 상호작용이 경험 만족도에 미치는 영향 - 자아 이미지 일치성의 조절된 매개효과를 중심으로 - (The effect of live commerce's para-social interaction on satisfaction with the experience - Focused on the moderated mediation effect of self-image congruity -)

  • Live-streaming commerce business is growing as the consumption of video content and Smartphone shopping increases. This study examines the following three aspects: whether para-social interaction influences perceived interactivity; whether seller trust affects satisfaction with the experience; whether relationships are controlled by a moderated mediator of self-image congruity. An online survey was conducted with 203 women aged 20-30 years. They were asked to respond to the survey after watching a beauty category live-streaming commerce broadcast. The results revealed that the para-social interaction had a significant effect on perceived interactivity, seller trust and satisfaction with the experience. The findings also indicated that the perceived interactivity and seller trust mediated the relationship between para-social interaction and satisfaction with the experience. Regarding the mediated moderation effect of self-image congruity, it was statistically significant between para-social interaction and perceived interactivity through seller trust. A higher level of consumer's self-image congruity influenced the greater effect of para-social interaction on live commerce experience. This study makes important theoretical contributions to the para-social interaction in mobile commerce industry by emphasizing the mediating role of perceived interactivity and seller trust. This is achieved by examining the moderating effects of self-congruity on satisfaction with the experience. The results also verify the seller's crucial role in live-streaming commerce market which leads to the consumers greater fulfillment.

Study on the Development of Training Programs for Standardized Patients of the Practical Examination Portion of the National Dental Licensing Examination

  • Purpose: The practical examination portion of the National Dental Licensing Examination (NDLE) is slated to be administered in the latter half of 2021 in the form of a clinical performance examination that comprehensively evaluates the patient-dentist interaction using standardized patients (SPs). The SPs should be equipped with the basic qualities and capacity as evaluators for a fair and reliable administration of the test. Materials and Methods: In this study, we analyzed the existing training materials for SPs who participated in domestic and overseas practical tests for the development of training materials for SPs through seminars and surveys of 11 dentistry schools and colleges. Result: First, SPs should be selected according to the basic quality criteria and capacity, which they must possess, and the preliminary basic training about the details which they must have knowledge of and be provided through videorecorded cases before the implementation of the preliminary field training. Second, the roles of SPs and the calibration process of the evaluation result forms are needed when conducting the preliminary field training for SPs. After watching video-recorded scenario cases, the SPs participate in discussions about the watched videos before proceeding to calibration practices of evaluation result forms. Third, because the Type A questionnaire of the practical examination of the NDLE is dependent on the SPs' capacity and training, the fairness of the practical test is largely dependent on the SPs. Therefore, practicing the roles as evaluators and evaluation training should be provided using practical test items that can improve the reliability of the test and show a high level of reproducibility about the same case. Conclusion: The findings of this study will be utilized for the development of training materials for SPs, so they can participate in the administration of a fair and reliable practical examination of the NDLE.

패션상품 챗봇에 대한 신뢰 형성 요인 - 지각된 지능과 긍정적 인지의 매개효과를 중심으로 - (Factors driving Fashion Chatbot Reliability -Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Perceived Intelligence and Positive Cognition-)

  • This study explores the effect of anthropomorphism on fashion chatbot reliability, mediated by perceived intelligence and cognitive evaluation. The moderating effects of individuals' need for human interaction between chatbot anthropomorphism and perceived intelligence, cognitive evaluation, and chatbot reliability are also explored. Participants, who were recruited through the online research firm, responded to questions after watching a video clip showing a conversation with a fashion chatbot on a mobile screen. The data were collected through Mturk, a crowdsourcing platform with an online research panel. All responses (N = 212) were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 for the descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and PROCESS procedure. The results demonstrate that chatbot anthropomorphism increases chatbot reliability, and this is mediated by chatbot intelligence. Although chatbot anthropomorphism increases cognitive evaluation, the effect of cognitive evaluation on chatbot reliability is not significant; thereby, the effect of chatbot anthropomorphism on chatbot reliability is not mediated by the cognitive evaluation. The direct effect of anthropomorphism on chatbot reliability is also moderated by individuals' need for human interaction. For participants with a high need for human interaction, chatbot anthropomorphism increases chatbot reliability; however, anthropomorphism does not significantly affect chatbot reliability for participants with a low need for human interaction. The study's findings contribute to expanding the literature on consumers' new technology acceptance by testing the antecedents affecting service reliability.

소셜 미디어 이용과 사회자본 -패션 인스타그램 및 유튜브를 중심으로- (Social Media Usage and Social Capital -Focused on Fashion Instagram and YouTube-)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the benefits of social capital obtained through the use of social media from the perspective of fashion. The study conducted in-depth interviews with 10 women in their 20s who utilized Instagram and YouTube for fashion-related activities. The results show that bonding social capital was related to Instagram and led increasingly to narrow and deep relationships with acquaintances who had already established offline relationships. The study also finds that informational benefit was derived from people who use Instagram image information for smart fashion consumption; in addition, positive feedback on their posts brought the emotional benefit of psychological satisfaction. On the other hand, bridge social capital developed from YouTube users and subscribers. The study discovers that YouTuber public communication or the exchange of opinions leads to an increase in bridge social capital, which is a wide and shallow relationship. Video-based YouTube brought informational benefits as a specific product description, and there were emotional benefits in terms of entertainment while watching videos that combined fashion and entertainment. This report sheds light on individual fashion activities on social media, which is discussed from the perspective of social capital.

  • 인터넷과 정보통신 기술이 발전함에 따라 영화 유통의 창구도 다양화 되고 있으며, 인터넷 VOD 극장은 저렴한 가격과 인터넷이라는 시간과 공간의 제약성이 없는 특징을 통해 새로운 영화 창구로서 자리 매김 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인터넷 VOD 극장을 이용하는 데 있어서 기존 연구에서 나타난 기술수용이론의 지각된 유용성과 몰입이론의 변수 그리고 인터넷 VOD 극장에서 제공하는 영화에 대해 소비자가 느끼는 흘드백 기간에 대한 민감도와 인터넷 VOD 극장에서 제공되는 영화 장르 선택의 다양성이 소비자의 이용 의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 의의는 기존 오프라인 영화관 및 다른 영화매체와의 경쟁 속에서 새로운 유통 창구로 자리매김하고 있는 인터넷 VOD 극장의 매체적인 특성을 찾고, 인터넷 VOD 극장 이용자의 이용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석함으로써 향후 인터넷 VOD 극장 수익 발전 방향을 모색했다는 점에서 실용적인 의미가 있을 것이다.
