기계 시스템의 길이제원 결정과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Decision Process of the Length Dimension of a Mechanical System)

  • Decision process for length dimension in the mechanical system design process has been studied with a washing machine transmission as a model. The results are, (i) the length dimensions of the non-shaft elements are independent of other elements, (ii) the length dimensions of the shaft elements are dependent on the dimensions of the non-shaft elements located inside and outside of that elements, (iii) the length dimensions of the inner shaft elements are dependent on those of the outer shaft elements located parallel, (iv) the length dimensions of the shaft elements located serial are independent of each other.

  • Recently, various efforts to make more speedy and precision machine tool to improve productivity and also various efforts to solve environmental problem are going on, so that dry cutting in manufacturing industry, which needs environmental conscious design and development of manufacturing technique, is becoming a very important assignment to solve. Because dry cutting does not use cutting fluid, we need other methods that can be used instead of cutting fluid, which does cooling, lubricating, chip washing, and anti-corrosion. Especially, because turning is a continuous work, the consideration of tool life and surface roughness due to continuous heat and poor lubrication is important. The purposes of this paper are the consideration of how well the compressed air can work instead of cutting fluid, and also the development of the method to select the optimum machining condition by the minimum numbers of experiments through the Taguchi method.

  • It is widely recognized that increasing the accuracy and diversity of rotating machinery necessitates an appropriate diagnostic technique and maintenance system. Until now, operators have monitored machinery using their senses or by analyzing simple changes to root mean square output values. We developed an expert diagnostic system that uses fuzzy inference to expertly assess the condition of a machine and allow operators to make accurate judgments. This paper describes the hardware and software of the expert diagnostic system. An assessment of the diagnostic performance for five fault phenomena typically found in pumps is also described.

  • This paper proposes a procedure for designing an accelerated test using SMAT(Stress, (failure) Mechanism and Test) model describing the relation among stress, failure mode/mechanism and test method. In SMAT model the stresses to be applied are derived from the environmental factor analysis, the relative importance of those stresses can be estimated using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and failure mode/mechanism and test method are derived from the fields failure information and FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). By applying the procedure we can make a selection of major factors to cause the failure of assembly and design the accelerated test using DOE(Design of Experiments) The procedure is illustrated with an qualification test case study of washing machine shaft assembly in "A" electric appliance company.

  • 본 논문에서는 세탁기, 에어컨과 같은 가전기기에 사용되는 인버터 구동 교류 전동기 구동 시스템의 EMI 특성해석 및 필터 설계 방법에 대하여 기술하였다. 먼저, 인버터 구동 교류 전동기 구동 시스템의 전도성 EMI 발생 및 전달 메커니즘에 대하여 분석하였고, 공통 및 차동모드 노이즈 분리 기법을 이용한 EMI 필터의 설계 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 PWM 인버터로 구동되는 유도 전동기 구동 시스템에 대한 실험을 수행하였고 EN55014 EMI 기준을 만족하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Developed in this research is a TP (tangible prototyping) system, which consists of two modules; (1) a virtual reality model to evaluate the functions and appearance of the product, and (2) a haptic device to emulate tactile and kinesthetic properties of mechanical dial knobs. As an example, a washing machine is modeled using a commercial CAD system and transformed in VRML and X3D formats. Some dynamic behaviors and kinematic characteristics are programmed using X3D script and Java. Various haptic behaviors of the dial are generated by modulating torque profile according to the rotation angle. A torque profile measuring system is developed to evaluate the behaviors of the haptic dial physically. Haptic sensibility evaluations are accomplished using the TP by semantic differential method.

오일미스트 조건에서의 금형강의 최적절삭조건 (Optimum Machining Condition of Die Steel In The Oil-mist Condition)

  • The purposes of using cutting fluid during cutting have been cooling, lubricating, chip washing and anti-corroding. However, the present manufacturing industry restricts the use of cutting fluid because cutting fluid contains poisonous substances which are harmful to the human body. Therefore environmentally conscious machining and technology have more important position in machining process because cutting fluids have significant influence on the environment in milling process. In this study, environmentally conscious machining can be obtained by the way of selecting the optimum machinig conditon using the design of experiment. Cutting using oil-mist showed better cutting characteristics than dry, air and fluid cutting with respect to by cutting force, tool wear and surface roughness. Also, the optimum machining condition for cutting using oil-mist could be selected through Taguchi method.

  • In contemporary housing design, this cultural value has been ignored. Contemporary design has adapted quickly to global trends and houses have gradually lost their cultural identity (GhaffarianHoseini & Dahlan, 2012; Lim, 2001). Nevertheless, traditional housing culture persists in people's behavior and thoughts. Therefore, there is currently a pressing need to rebuild cultural identity in housing for cultural sustainability. This study aimed to analyze the traditional culture which was maintained, then transformed and disappeared in housing design through the quantitative survey and explore the cultural identity of Malaysian housing as a result. A quantitative survey was distributed to mothers of 129 married households living in a metropolitan area of Kuala Lumpur in August 2019. As a result, it was found that hosting guest was important even though the designated space (serambi) was disappeared. The LD/K layout, separating kitchen from living and dining area was philosophical and practical culture, still strong among older generation, but weakened among younger generation. To accommodate the traditional habit of diverse household work, wet kitchen, utility space for washing machine & drying, and outdoor space were needed to design carefully. When applied to future housing design, the findings will contribute to enhancing quality of life by strengthening residents' sense of place and social cohesion and by providing a culturally inherent design that eases the effects of globalization.

공동현상 가시화 실험을 통한 절환밸브 바텀플러그 형상 최적화 (Cavitation Visualization Test for Shape Optimization of Bottom Plug in Reversing Valve)

  • 자동차 엔진과 변속기 블록 등의 가공과정에서 잔류하는 기름때를 제거하기 위한 부품 세척장비는 정교한 제어장치 없이도 정확한 수류방향 절환이 원활히 이루지는 3 방향 절환밸브를 사용한다. 그러나, 밸브의 복잡한 유로 및 바텀플러그 형상으로 인해 유속변화가 심하게 발생하여 공동현상이 나타날 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 3 방향 절환밸브 내의 유동특성을 해석적으로 평가하였으며, 바텀플러그 하부에서 나타나는 공동현상을 공동화지표와 POC(Percent of cavitation)를 도입하여 정량화하였다. 공동현상의 저감을 위해 바텀플러그 형상을 매개변수화하고, 해석의 수렴성 개선과 해석시간을 단축시킬 수 있는 단순 유한요소모델을 이용하여 유동해석을 통한 형상최적설계를 실시하였다. 또한, 연구팀에서 보유하고 있는 유동시험설비와 ISA-RP75.23 규격에 맞게 제작된 시편을 이용하여 공동현상 가시화 실험을 실시하여 해석결과를 검증하였다.
