  • In order to the torque control the indirect flux control was performed by controlling the ratio of e/f and the q-axis flux was estimated by the slip command and q-axis flux was estimated by the slip command and q-axis current in the rotor circuits. Also the frequency was controlled to keep on the q-axis flux to be zero and the constant torque characteristics could be obtained by generation the preset torque. In the induction motor driven by the boltage source inverter with the constant voltage and frequency the speed variation is expressed as a slip So the speed control can be achieved by slip compensation The slip was calculated with a q-flux current filtered by first-order filter and as the result the error problem which may occur in current detection was eliminated

  • This paper proposes a finite element method (FEM)-based model of an interior permanent magnet (IPM) type BLDC motor having stator inter-turn faults. For more realistic simulation studies, the magnetic non-linearity is also considered in proposed model. And the simulation data are verified through experiment. By integrating the developed model with a current-controlled voltage source inverter (CCVSI) model, the characteristics of an inter-turn fault operated by six-switched inverter are investigated considering the speed control. And the circulating current, which is induced by magnetic linkage flux originated from PM, was analyzed from the view point of distortion of air-gap magnetic flux distribution caused deterioration of their torque.

  • ICP source의 성능과 구현 가능성은 impedance와 전기장, 자기장의 공간 분포에 큰 영향을 받는다. ICP source의 impedance는 ICP 안테나와 플라즈마의 impedance에 의해 결정된다. 안테나 설계에 있어서 안테나에 형성되는 고전압을 방지하고 공정 중 급격한 impedance 변화를 방지하기 위해서는 ICP source의 허수 impedance가 $-100\;ohm{\sim}+100\;ohm$의 영역에 존재하는 것이 유리하다. 플라즈마 균일도는 안테나에 흐르는 전류와 전압에 의해 형성되는 전기장 세기와 자기장 세기에 영향을 받는다. 원형 안테나와 대칭성이 개선된 안테나에 대해 전자기 simulation과 플라즈마 밀도의 공간분포를 측정하였으며 안테나 형태에 따른 전자기장과 플라즈마 밀도 분포의 개선을 확인하였다. 반경 방향 균일도를 조절하기 위해서는 일반적으로 지름이 다른 복수개의 안테나를 동심원 상에 배치하는 방법을 사용한다. 각 안테나들을 병렬로 연결한 경우 각각의 안테나의 임피던스에 따른 전류 분배 비율이 상이하며, 분배 비율을 조절하기 위해 코일 또는 capacitor를 연결할 경우 나타나는 현상을 계산하였다.

  • 본 논문은 최대전력점추적을 하는 PV 시스템을 이용한 점핑시스템 구동을 위한 단상유도전동기의 벡터제어를 제시한다. 펌핑시스템은 벡터제어에 의한 원심 펌프를 구동하는 가변속 단상유도전동기를 사용한다. DC-DC 컨버터를 이용한 MPPT는 다양한 일사량에 따라 최대 전력을 추적하기 위해 듀티 사이클을 제어한다. 듀티 사이클은 자속을 발생시키는 전류($i_{ds}$)와 직접적인 관계가 있다. 벡터제어 인버터는 CC-VSI를 사용한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 일사량 변화에 따른 전압($V_{dq}$), 전류($I_{dq}$), 전동기 속도, 토크 등의 성능 및 특성을 나타낸다.

  • The water pumping system uses a variable speed single phase induction motor driven a centrifugal pump by field oriented control(FOC) inverter. The MPPT using a DC-DC converter controlled the duty cycle to track maximum power from PV under different insolation conditions. The duty cycle directly relate with a flux producing current control($i_{ds}$). The FOC inverter uses a current control voltage source inverter(CC-VSI). The simulation results are shown that the characteristics and performance of drive system, which varies as each conditions of light by expresses in voltage$(V_{dq})$, current$(I_{dq})$, speed of motor and torque.

Input Impedances of PWM DC-DC Converters: Unified Analysis and Application Example

  • The input impedances of pulse width modulated (PWM) dc-to-dc converters, which dictate the outcomes of the dynamic interaction between dc-to-dc converters and their source subsystem, are analyzed in a general and unified manner. The input impedances of three basic PWM dc-to-dc converters are derived with both voltage mode control and current mode control. This paper presents the analytical expressions of the 24 input impedances of three basic PWM dc-to-dc converters with the two different control schemes in a factorized time-constant form. It also provides a comprehensive reference for future dynamic interaction analyses requiring knowledge of the converters' input impedances. The theoretical predictions of the paper are all supported by measurements on prototype dc-to-dc converters. The use of the presented results is demonstrated via a practical application example, which analyzes the small-signal dynamics of an input-filter coupled current-mode controlled buck converter. This elucidates the theoretical background for the previously-reported eccentric behavior of the converter.

Fault Immune Pico-Hydro Powered Base Station of Remote Telecommunication Tower

  • This paper presents the dynamic excitation control of a siphon-turbine coupled pico-hydro powered cage rotor induction generator and load matching for off-grid electricity generation. Through the proposed dual-role of the current-controlled voltage source converter (VSC), acting as static synchronous compensator and load controller, real and reactive power are dynamically controlled in a decoupled manner with a self supported DC-bus. The proposed scheme entails minimal computation for ensuring the rated (set) capacity of real power. The scheme also exhibits fault immunity for protection, thus enabling the effective handling of constant power electrical loads presented by base telecom station towers in remote locations. The performance of the system is evaluated under MATLAB/Simulink and is experimented through a developed hardware prototype. Simulation and experimental results show close conformity and validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

자계가속법에 의한 유도 전동기의 전력회생 구동 (Power Regenerating Drive of a Induction Motor by Field Acceleration Method)

  • This paper presents a solution that an analytical model for an induction motor and the formula of regenerative power and instantaneous torque are derived. based on the spiral vector. The torque is controlled linearly through variations of the slip angular velocity, based on the field acceleration method (FAM). And also PWM inverter fed induction motor drives is schemed to be easily a regenerative drive. The voltage source inverter fed induction motor drives that regenerative power occurs with back current type is presented, to easily controlled the feedback power and to proper the adaption of energy shaving drives. The experimental tests verify the performance of the FAM, proving that food behavior of the drive is achieved in the transient and steady state operating condition, and are discussed to save the power that regenerative power is measured at the operating acceleration or deceleration of servo system.

새로운 정류방식을 이용한 전기추진선박의 고조파 저감 (Harmonic Reduction of Electric Propulsion Ship using New Rectification Scheme)

  • 현재 대형선박에서 다이오드 정류기를 이용한 AC-DC 전력변환장치를 주로 사용하고 있으며 이는 총고조파왜형율을 줄이기 위하여 다중펄스를 출력할 수 있는 상치환변압기가 추가적으로 설치되어야 한다. 이 경우 상치환변압기의 설치로 인해 공간적, 경제적 손실이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 LNG 운반선 등과 같은 대형선박에서 현재 운용중인 다이오드 정류기를 대신하여 SCR, IGBT등의 소자를 이용하는 새로운 능동형 정류방식을 제안하여 저전압 전원의 이용이 가능하고 전력선 부하에 의해 발생하는 고조파 발생을 줄이며 또한, 기존의 방식에서 사용하는 상치환변압기를 제거하여 경제적인 이점도 얻고자 하였다. 현재 대형선박에서 운용중인 전기추진시스템에 제안한 시스템을 시뮬레이션 한 결과, 추진전동기 입력 전류 및 전압 파형에 포함된 총고조파왜형율이 개선됨을 나타내었다.

A Spread Spectrum Clock Generator for SATA II with Rounded Hershey-Kiss Modulation Profile

  • A spread spectrum clock generation is an efficient way to reduce electro-magnetic interference (EMI) radiation in modern mixed signal chip systems. The proposed circuit generates the spread spectrum clock by directly injecting the modulation voltage into the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) current source for SATA II. The resulting 33KHz modulation profile has a Hersey-Kiss shape with a rounded peak. The chip has been fabricated using $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process and test results show that the proposed circuit achieves 0.509% (5090ppm) down spreading at 1.5GHz and peak power reduction of 10dB. The active chip area is 0.36mm ${\times}$ 0.49mm and the chip consumes 30mW power at 1.5GHz.
