음성 장애 치료 연구의 최근 동향: 증거에 기초한 임상 치료 및 전이 생물학적 연구 (Recent Trends in the Treatment of Voice Disorders: Evidence-based Practice and Translational Biology Research)

  • This study attempted to review the recent, high-quality evidence-based practical research related to the treatment effectiveness of voice disorders which focus on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and translational research of vocal fold tissue engineering for vocal fold regeneration. Methodology including PICO (P; Populations or Patients, I; Interventions, C; Comparison group (control, placebo, gold standard), O; Outcomes or measures made) information for RCTs and animal models (species), regenerative therapy method, and outcomes of translational research for clinical application was summarized and discussed for future voice disorder research.

텔레메틱스 기반의 VoIP 음성 통화품질 향상을 위한 수신단 구조 (VoIP Receiver Structure for Enhancing Speech Quality Based on Telematics)

  • 텔레메틱스 기반의 VoIP 음성통화는 지연, 지터 그리고 패킷손실과 같은 네트워크 장애요소로 인해 품질저하가 발생된다. 본 논문에서는 이런 장애요소로 인한 통화품질 문제를 해결하기 위하여 수신단 기반의 통화품질 향상 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 손실은닉, 역동적인 지터추정을 이용한 적응적인 플레이아웃 버퍼 스케줄링, 그리고 전이영역에 존재하는 두 신호간의 스무딩 방법으로 구성된 플레이아웃 콘트롤 및 신호합성부를 통해 고품질의 음성통화를 가능하게 한다. 성능 측정 결과, 제안된 알고리즘은 기존 알고리즘에 비해 높은 PESQ와 낮은 버퍼링 지연을 보여주었다.

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy-based random access controller with a superimposed frame structure (F$^2$RAC) fur voice/data-integrated wireless networks. F$^2$RAC adopts mini-slot technique for reducing contention cost, and these mini-slots of which number may dynamically vary from one frame to the next as a function of the traffic load are further partitioned into two regions for access requests coming from voice and data traffic with their respective QoS requirements. And F$^2$RAC is designed to properly determine the access regions and permission probabilities for enhancing the data packet delay while ensuring the voice packet dropping probability constraint. It mainly consists of the estimator with Pseudo-Bayesian algorithm and fuzzy logic controller with Sugeno-type of fuzzy rules. Simulation results prove that F$^2$RAC can guarantee QoS requirement of voice and provide the highest throughput efficiency and the smallest data packet delay amongst the different alternatives including PRMA[1], IPRMA[2], and SIR[3].

  • Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN) is a compulsory element in a voice-controlled machine due to its inherent capability of interpreting imprecise natural language commands. To control such a machine, user's perception of imprecise words is very important because the words' meaning is highly subjective. This paper presents a voice based controller centered on an adaptable FNN to capture the user's perception of imprecise words.   • In this study, in conjunction with a SIMULINK program based on system modeling of a voice-coil-actuator (VCA)-driven balancing scale, a proportional-integral-derivative control algorithm is implemented, and weighing characteristics are investigated through experiments and simulations. The extent to which the back electromotive force induced in the VCA-driven circuit and the magnetic damping induced by the coil wound bobbin of VCA affect the weighing speed is also investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 기지국과 단말기간의 전파지연이 비교적 짧은 마이크로셀 환경의 패킷 CDMA망에서 음성과 데이타를 통합 서비스하기 위한 MAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안한 프로토콜을 위한 시스템의 상향링크 채널은 프레임을 구성하는 타임 슬롯과 각 슬롯별 확산코드에 의하여 제공된다. 지연에 민감한 음성 트래픽에 더 높은 우선순위를 부여하여, 음성 트래픽인 경우에는 발음구간 동안 임의의 확산코드를 예약하여 서비스된다. 반면, 데이타 트래픽은 매 패킷이 발생할 때마다 기지국으로부터 수신한 현재 슬롯의 예약상태 정보를 기반으로 서비스된다. 성능분석의 결과, 본 논문에서 제안한 기법은 음성과 데이타 패킷간의 충돌이 전혀 발생하지 않으므로 주어진 패킷 누락률 범위 내에서 수용 가능한 최대 음성 단말기 수를 증가시킬 수 있었다.

고속 엘리베이터 능동진동제어 실험 (Active Control Experiments on High-speed Elevator Vibrations)

  • This paper is concerned with the active control experiments on elevator vibrations by means of the active roller guide. To this end, a roller guide was designed using a voice-coil actuator and linear guide. A simple proportional control algorithm combined with the band-pass filter was implemented using the DSP. Based on the initial experiments, a new control system which can handle lateral and front-back vibrations of elevator was built and tested using the elevator test tower. The experimental results show that the elevator vibrations are reduced by the active control technique.

  • ATM은 패킷 데이터 서비스 통신에 적합한 통신방식으로 데이터, 음성, 영상 등의 서비스를 동시에 지원할 수 있다. 이러한 ATM의 QoS를 보증하기 위해서는 패킷 데이터를 전송하는 소스 비율에 대해 네트워크 초과적조 조건을 조절하는 것이 필요한데 대부분의 제어알고리즘이 임계값을 기반으로 한 피드백 제어방식이다. 그러나 실시간 음성 트래픽과 같은 서비스는 네트워크 상에서 데이터 서비스 동안에 동적인 연결이 설정되고 종료될 수 있으므로 피드백 제어정보가 지연된다면 고속으로 서비스된 음성 데이터에 대한 품질은 소스와 목적지 사이의 시간 지연으로 인해 손실될 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제시한 최소평균제곱오차에 근거를 둔 제어 알고리즘은 예시적인 피드백 제어로 피드백 제어를 위해 미지함수의 기울기와 버퍼크기를 이용하여 미래의 버퍼크기를 예측하려 하였으며 시뮬레이션 결과 본 논문에서 제시한 제어 알고리즘은 효과적임이 증명되었다.

Multi-Modal Controller Usability for Smart TV Control

  • Objective: The objective of this study was to suggest a multi-modal controller type for Smart TV Control. Background: Recently, many issues regarding the Smart TV are arising due to the rising complexity of features in a Smart TV. One of the specific issues involves what type of controller must be utilized in order to perform regulated tasks. This study examines the ongoing trend of the controller. Method: The selected participants had experiences with the Smart TV and were 20 to 30 years of age. A pre-survey determined the first independent variable of five tasks(Live TV, Record, Share, Web, App Store). The second independent variable was the type of controllers(Conventional, Mouse, Voice-Based Remote Controllers). The dependent variables were preference, task completion time, and error rate. The experiment consist a series of three experiments. The first experiment utilized a uni-modal Controller for tasks; the second experiment utilized a dual-modal Controller, while the third experiment utilized a triple-modal Controller. Results: The first experiment revealed that the uni-modal Controller (Conventional, Voice Controller) showed the best results for the Live TV task. The second experiment revealed that the dual-modal Controller(Conventional-Voice, Conventional-Mouse combinations) showed the best results for the Share, Web, App Store tasks. The third experiment revealed that the triple-modal Controller among all the level had not effective compared with dual-modal Controller. Conclusion: In order to control simple tasks in a smart TV, our results showed that a uni-modal Controller was more effective than a dual-modal controller. However, the control of complex tasks was better suited to the dual-modal Controller. User preference for a controller differs according the Smart TV functions. For instance, there was a high user preference for the uni-Controller for simple functions while high user preference appeared for Dual-Controllers when the task was complex. Additionally, in accordance with task characteristics, there was a high user preference for the Voice Controller for channel and volume adjustment. Furthermore, there was a high user preference for the Conventional Controller for menu selection. In situations where the user had to input text, the Voice Controller had the highest preference among users while the Mouse Type, Voice Controller had the highest user preference for performing a search or selecting items on the menu. Application: The results of this study may be utilized in the design of a controller which can effectively carry out the various tasks of the Smart TV.

  • This thesis describes the development of a service system for small-sized shops which support not only music broadcasting, but editing and generating voice announcement using the TTS(Text-To-Speech) technology. The system has been developed based on web environments with an easy access whenever and wherever it is needed. The system is able to control the sound using silverlight media player based on the ASP .NET 2.0 technology without any additional application software. Use of the Ajax control allows for multiple users to get the maximum load when needed. TTS is built in the server side so that the service can be provided without user's computer. Due to convenience and usefulness of the system, the business sector can provide better service to many shops. Further additional functions such as statistical analysis will undoubtedly help shop management provide desirable services.
