Digital watermarking is the technique, which embeds an invisible signal including signal including owner identification and copy control information into multimedia data such as audio, video, and images for copyright protection. A new MPEG watermark embedding algorithm using complex block effect based on the Human Visual System(HVS) is introduced in this paper. In this algorithm, $8{\times}8$ dark blocks are selected, and the watermark is embedded in the DC component of the discrete cosine transform(DCT) by using quantization and modulus calculation. This algorithm uses a blind watermark retrieval technique, which detects the embedded watermark without using the original image. The experimental results show that the proposed watermark technique is robust against MPEG coding, bitrate changes, and various GOP(Group of Picture) changes.

본 고에서는 요즘 전세계적으로 관심을 모으고 있는 핵심기술 분야별 표준화 기구 및 포럼에서 발표된 표준화의 최신동향을 기술별로 정리하였다. 주요 쟁점기술에 대한 내용으로는 총 네 개 기술위원회의 활동으로 IEEE 802.1, 2, 3, 11 위원회에서 논의된 Trunking 기술표준의 제정 및 CATV LAN 방식, ATM Forum에서 논의된 Routing Addressing과 PNNI Interoperability 시험규격, DAVIC에서 논의된 VOD Service, Digital Audio Visual, 그리고 ISO/IEC JTC1 WG11 MPEG 44차 기술표준화 내용을 정리하였다. 각 분야별 쟁점기술표준에 대한 한국의 대응전략을 정리하여 산업체 기술개발에 많이 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

The clothing industry is going through very rapid and innovative automation in almost all processes from the initial design of clothing to the dispatch of the products to the retailer. Educational bodies in teaching clothing and textile techniques should offer courses that enable students to grasp the concepts and potential of automation so that they can confidently cope with further development when they enter the real world of the clothing and textile industry. 정보추출 기법을 논의할 때 핵심 역할을 차지하는 것이 추출 패턴(규칙)을 표현하는 종류와 규칙을 만들어 내는 기계학습의 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 mDTD(modified Document Type Definition)라는 새로운 추출패턴을 제안한다. mDTD는 SGML에서 사용되는 DTD를 구문과 해석 방식을 변형하여 일반적인 HTML에서의 정보추출에 활용되도록 설계하였다. 이러한 개념은 DTD가 문서에 나타나는 객체를 지정하는 역할을 하는 것을 역으로 mDTD를 이용하여 문서에 나타는 객체를 식별하는데 사용하는 것이다. mDTD 규칙을 순차기계학습으로 확장시켜서 한국어와 영어로된 인터넷 쇼핑몰 중에서 AV(Audio and Visual product) 도메인에 적용하여 실험하였다 실험 결과로 정보추출의 평균 정확도은 한국어와 영어에 대해서 각각 91.3%와 81.9%를 얻었다.

This Paper provides perceptual metrics for video quality based on properties of human visual system, and audio quality based on human audition. All metrics work without reference signals, allowing non-intrusive, in-service measurements. A simple and easy-to-learn user interface displays the metrics and saves them in popular file formats like CSV. In this paper, proposed method was able to various and corrective measurement for the multimedia service video quality. As that it was able to application to set up service guide line and the methode of measurement and system for the set up standardization of the high quality video service.

MPEG-4 is an international standard for interactive multimedia data that is used for next generation audio-visual service. It presents an two types of storage formal such as XMT (eXtensible MPEG-4 Textual fount) and MP4 file format D store the interactive multimedia contents. The XMT, a textual format, has advantage of readability and it can be used in many applications since designed based on the XML In this paper, we present the way how to author the MPEG-4 contents using XMT.

디지털방송 서비스 기술의 급속한 발전은 시청자 취향 및 특성을 고려한 시청자 중심의 맞춤형 방송 서비스 제공을 가능하게 한다. 방송컨텐츠는 시청자의 특성 및 사용환경 정보들을 기반으로, 방송컨텐츠를 구성하는 오디오 및 비주얼 신호를 적응(adaptation) 변환하여 보다 개인화 된 형태로 가공된 후 시청자에게 제공되어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 표준화 작업이 진행 중인 MPEG-21 Digital Item Adaptation (DIA) 표준기술에서 정의된 사용자 특성 정보들 중에서 '접근성(accessibility)'에 해당하는 사용자의 청각특성 및 시각특성 정보의 기술개요를 설명한다.

Recently, Internet of Things (IoT) drives a large variety of research, development, and new type of markets. All type of devices and sensors will be part of the Internet of Things and will be able to communicate not only plain data, but also audio-visual, olfactory, and haptic media data. In addition, as the devices and sensors getting smarter, it is highly probable that they can process acquired media and metadata to extract higher level of information (e.g., semantics). To support such enhanced functionalities, ISO/IEC SC29 WG11 (MPEG) starts a new standard project, ISO/IEC 23093, called Internet of Media Things (IoMT) to provide standard data formats and APIs for media things. This paper presents the standardization activities of IoMT focusing on explaining terms, standard scopes, and major media things with their use cases. One of the use cases, an IoT system for a blind pedestrian navigation assistance, is evaluated to prove its effectiveness.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the state and problems on sex education of junior & senior high schools in Taegu city & Kyungbuk province and then to try to find the solutions. This article is consisted of four parts: the present state of sex education, how to improve sex education, the problems of teacher training and the actual condition of educational materials for that. The item of questionnaires was analyzed by SAS-PC program. the results are marked with frequency, percentage, mean and $\chi$$^2$(chi-square). For effective and better sex education in high schools, development & distribution of various audio-visual teaching material, and systematic & correlative arrangement of educational contents are to be first requisite. Concerning about the teacher training it is needed that to establish the standard o general management and equipment of instruction system.

In this paper, we present an interactive data broadcasting system compliant with the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) standards. The proposed system provides users not only with various data broadcasting services but also remote interactive services. For various data broadcasting services, we have adopted a synchronized data injector that calculates the transmission time of synchronized data accurately and multiplexes synchronized data with the data of an MPEG-2 audio-visual program according to the calculated transmission time. To support remote interactive services, we designed and implemented a return channel server connected on a bi-directional interaction channel. Test results show that the proposed system provides both an asynchronous and synchronized data broadcasting service and remote interactive service appropriately.
