This study was designed to identify how customers considered menu selection attributes on menu choice, and so the instrument for measuring that question was developed and menu selection behavior types were analyzed by customers' characteristics. Cronbach's alpha to assess the internal reliability of the developed scales was 0.8361, which indicated to be highly reliable. Construct validity was assessed by principal components factor analysis with a Varimax rotation to identify underlying dimensions of menu selection and then four factors explaining 55.618% of the total variance were found. These factors were labeled as 'quality of meals', 'attractiveness of meals', 'healthfulness of meals' and 'variety of meals', respectively. As a result of analysis on menu selection factors, 'quality of meals'(3.82 out of 5) was the highest consideration followed by 'variety of meals'(3.51), 'healthfulness of meals'(3.49) and 'attractiveness of meals'(3.34), so that menu marketing approaches in the perspective of quality of meals would do lead customers' selection rates, customer satisfaction and then sales highly. Frequent visitor selected menu indifferently but customers who were interested in food and menu highly, who perceived meals' quality highly, and who were satisfied with overall foodservice did with concern. On the basis of these results of study for the target of food court-style B & I foodservice operation, which was introduced as an ideal model in future foodservice market by the concept of 'customer's selection right', the following study related with customers' meal patterns and perception of foodservice by menu selection attributes would be able to predict the chances for success of food court-style foodservice operations.

This study researched the changing characteristics of Korean visitors to New Zealand after the IMF Crisis(the 1997 Korean financial collapse), through data from New Zealand Tourism Board and an internet-based survey. Since the Korean financial collapse, the Korean visitor to New Zealand has changed from an older to a younger generation. The reason for this change in age is considered clue to visiting as a family group, visiting to study English and the popularity of touring among the young adult generation. Thus the numbers of older generation travelers has decreased steeply, while an increase in younger visitors has occurred and they stay for longer and come during the school vacation period. The preferred or most popular itinerary is influenced by New Zealand's travel infrastructure, the younger travelers seeking adventure tourism, where this is located and package tours fixed itineraries. The main tour activities at attractions is visiting the tourist information centre, museums and internet cafes. These activities were popular with the younger generation and, along with New Zealand's unique scenic resources and famous activities, attracted visitors to the main tourist destinations. The average satisfaction levels of the respondents, according to the survey was 3.52 out of 5.00 criterion, this resulted from analysis of 14items and their satisfaction levels. New Zealand and Korean tourism policy makers, including travel agents and tourism development authorities, need to devise efficient tourism policy to accommodate these changing characteristics of Korean tourists, as highlighted through the results of this study.

The present study grasped the operation characteristics and operation management of forest museums in Korea and analyzed satisfaction with the foregoing. In the results of a survey of forest museums' operation characteristics, with regard to groups to which exhibits were helpful, over half of respondents answered that the exhibits were helpful to students and many respondents had an opinion that all age groups should be equally considered as targets of exhibition. Among matters that were considered with regards to forest museums, accessibility showed the highest rate of answers followed by museum programs. The curator was needed for the majority of respondents were exhibits prior to the survey had the highest expectations for the medium. With regard to the operation management of forest museums, the expected value of periodic and extraordinary exhibitions was shown to be high and high and satisfaction was shown by the professionalism of staff. As for matters of forest museums that must be improved, attention should be paid to the development of programs in which users can participate, diverse exhibition media should be developed, and exhibition should be planned to fit the composition of exhibits. As for operation management, since exhibits were repeated every year, environments should be changed by exhibiting new exhibits or otherwise and active methods of improvement should be devised such as the utilization of broadcasting media for public relations.

This study aimed at understanding the characteristics of interactive discourses between docents and visitors in natural history museums. Two docents participated in this study. One worked in Seodaemoon Natural History Museum and the other in Gwacheon National Science Museum. To analyze the characteristics of interactive discourses, especially understanding the mediation of visitors' learning, Pedagogic Discourse Analysis method was adopted. The results show two contrasting types of interactive discourses, Encouraging Visitors' Meaningful Participation (EVMP) and Encouraging Visitors' Simple Participation (EVSP). In the EVMP discourse, structural cohesion is strong in thematic flow and information flow. Docent and visitors share the role of information provider and "Themes" are developed through the interactions between the docent and the visitors. On the contrary, in the EVSP discourse, structural cohesions are weak. Even though the visitors participate in the discourse, their discourse scarcely contribute to develop "Themes" in the discourse. Most of the information is developed and expanded by the docent. These results helped us to suggest that docents have to understand and use visitors' prior knowledge as a discourse "Theme." It is also suggested that docents need to have not only the competent content knowledge about exhibitions but also the capability to lead discourses that allow the visitors to participate meaningfully during the education processes.

SNS has become a very close service to our daily life. As marketing is done through SNS, places often called hot places are created, and users are flocking to these places. However, it is often crowded with a large number of people in a short period of time, resulting in a negative experience for both visitors and service providers. In order to improve this problem, it is necessary to recognize the congestion level, but the method to determine the congestion level in a specific area at an individual level is very limited. Therefore, in this study, we tried to propose a system that can identify the congestion level information and the characteristics of visitors to a specific tourist destination by using the data on the SNS. For this purpose, posting data uploaded by users and image analysis were used, and the performance of the proposed system was verified using the Naver DataLab system. As a result of comparative verification by selecting three places by type of tourist destination, the results calculated in this study and the congestion level provided by DataLab were found to be similar. In particular, this study is meaningful in that it provides a degree of congestion based on real data of users that is not dependent on a specific company or service.
The purpose of this study is to compare the tourism characteristics, satisfaction and influential factors of the three main tourist countries of China, Japan and the US, And to explore differentiation areas. For this purpose, data from 5,160 national tourist consumers extracted from the survey data of foreign tourists in 2016 provided by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism were used for analysis. As a result, there were statistically significant differences in itemized satisfaction and overall satisfaction by country. Especially, the common itemized-satisfaction factors affecting overall satisfaction of Chines, Japanese and American tourism consumers were 'food' and 'shopping'. In addition, individual factors affecting the satisfaction of inbound tourism consumers were derived differently, and it is required to search tourism industry upbringing policies according to their characteristics and needs. The results of this study are expected to help establish strategies for attracting foreign tourists in the future.
A traditional house or a traditional village experience has been on the rise as a form of experiential cultural tourism. But the Oeam folk village, a experiential cultural tourist destination representing Chungcheng-do seems to confront the stagnancy in the part of growth. It has to grow in two sides of quantity and quality. On the ground of this critical mind, 3 assumptions were established after analyzing previous studies. Additionally, market segmentation using satisfaction factors was practiced. In order to verify assumptions, A questionnaire was made and a survey was practiced. Out of statistic analyses, cluster analysis was practiced to do market segmentation targeting people who visit Oeam folk village and regression analysis to verify established assumptions. The assumption 1 was adopted that satisfaction factors influence whole satisfaction. The assumption 2 was partly adopted that satisfaction factors(sightseeing efficiency, sightseeing convenience, traditional house and experience factor) except food and souvenir factor influence behavior intention. The assumption 3 was adopted that whole satisfaction influences behavior intention. These were similar with the results of previous studies. As the result of cluster analysis to confirm the difference of demographic characteristics according to the market, 2 clusters was classified and classified clusters showed the difference of demographic characteristics.
The purpose of this study is to figure out visitor's attitudes for trail facilities in Gayasan National Park in order to provide the basic information for effective installation and maintenance of trail facilities. The questionnaire survey on two trails were conducted to 227 visitors on the way back home after using the trails. The use characteristics of two trails were a little different from each other, and the conditions of two trails were rated relatively high both in quantity and quality. By the evaluation of 5 types of trail facilities in Haein trail and 4 types in Baegun trail, The responses were noticeably positive about wood deck, log steps with stones and wood steps in Haein trail and about deck-type wood steps and log fences in Baegun trail from the point of three aspects; harmony with nature, resources conservation and user convenience. On the other hand it seems necessary to replace the steel steps of both trails with eco-friendly materials. So, from now on it is necessary for introducing the trail facilities in National Parks to apply the eco-friendly materials extensively and to upgrade the design aspects comprehensively of harmony with nature, resources conservation and user convenience
This study is conducted to determine the damage, distinguish the types and identify the restoration by that type for 13 Korea national parks out of 21. There are 21 Korea national parks are in Korea covering 6.67% of the country or $6,656km^2$ ($3,902km^2$ on land and $2,754km^2$ in the sea) currently since the area around Jirisan ($440km^2$) was designated as the first Korea national parks in 1967. With the cancellation of entrance admission on Korea national parks since 2007, annual visitors to the Korea national parks have grown from 37 millions in 2008 to 46 millions by 2013 and continue to grow due to numerous leisure activities, alpine activities and social changes. As such, Korea national parks are natural resource with high value to be conserved and are attracting significant attention as recreational spaces for people at the same time. On the other hand, there have been issues of soil erosions or disturbed vegetation due to increased number of visitor to the national parks. Korea national parks area damage to its type and damage characteristics to analyse the 13 Korea national parks out of 21 on July 2012 March, Korea national parks over the subjects of the National Park from damaged area status Survey analysis by the Korea National Park Service. Thus, in this study, damage types, spatial characteristics, causes and restorations are analyzed based on the survey results of damages to national parks in order to provide a basis for the efficient management and operation of the Korea national parks.
The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of children's interactive learning focusing on the Vygotsky's ZPD (the zone of proximal development) in a natural history museum as a representative free-choice learning context. We focused on the understanding of peer dyadic discourses and data were collected from 13 peer groups of children (3rd and 4th graders) who were videotaped all conversations occurred as they visited around the exhibits with no predetermined path. The transcribed data were analyzed by the developmental level of ZPD system and the discourse within an ADL (an actual developmental level) was overwhelmingly common in the conversations between child-child dyads. The representative discourse by discourse types were parsed according to three constructs of ZPD. Children formed the intersubjectivity through semiotic mediation such as conversations and exhibits and ended up with the similar situation definition. In conclusion, the details of discourses of the most impressive dyad were looked into focusing on the scientific concept. The study implies that a natural history museum becomes a meaningful resource to offer a deeper understanding of the nature of children's learning as an informal learning setting.
