We synthesized energetic prepolymer(2-nitrato ethyl oxirane, NEO) for plastic-bonded explosive and measured its thermodynamic parameters. 2-Nitrato ethyl oxirane(NEO) as a monomer was synthesized from 4-butene-ol, the first-step was preparation of 1-nitrate-3-butene and second-step was synthesized 2-nitrate-ethyl oxirane from 1nitrate-3-butene and then polymerized by cationic ring opening polymerization. The unreacted monomer concentration was measured by GC. The thermodynamic parameters were obtained from the ceiling temperature(Tc) values of 1 mole monomer at each reaction temperature. We varied feed rate of monomer, concentration of initiator and monomer to control molecular weight and polydispersity of perpolymer(NEO). Number average molecular weight(Mn), polydispersity(PD), and glass transition temperature(Tg), viscosity of prepolymer(NEO) were 2000, 1.07, $-55^{\circ}C$ and 300 poise respectively.
Acrylonitrile(AN) was solution-polymerized in dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) and tertiary butyl alcohol(TBA) at 30, 40, $50^\circ{C}$ using a low temperature initiator, 2,2'-azobis(2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile) (ADMVN). The low temperature polymerization using ADMVN, DMSO, and TBA is to be successful in obtaining high molecular weight polyacrylonitrile(PAN) with less branches by solution polymerization. Throug a polymerization of AN in DMSO at $30^\circ{C}$, PAN having viscosity-average molecular weight$(M_v)$ of 931,000 was obtained. And then, during AN solution polymerization in DMSO and TBA using a cosolvent system the in-situ formation of microfibrillar structure has been discovered at the cosolvent composition of 24/1$(V_{DMSO}/V_{TBA})$. The simultaneous process of gelation and phase separation of long chain molecules may explain the in-situ formation of PAN fibers during polymerization.
Processable conducting polyaniline derivative with free amine functional groups was successfully synthesized from the monomer o-phenylenediamine in aqueous hydrochloric acid medium using ammonium persulfate as an oxidative initiator. The synthesized poly(o-phenylenediamine) (PoPD) in critical condition was found to be completely soluble in common organic solvents like dimethyl sulfoxide, N,N-dimethyl formamide etc. From the intrinsic viscosity measurement, the optimum condition for the polymerization was established. The polymer was characterized by ultraviolet visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy ($^1HNMR$) and thermogravimetric (TGA) analyses. The weight average molecular weights of the synthesized polymers were determined by the dynamic light scattering (DLS) method. From the spectroscopic analysis the structure was found to resemble that of polyaniline derivative with free amine functional groups attached to ortho/meta position in the phenyl ring. However, very little ladder unit was also present with in the polymer chain. The moderate thermal stability of the synthesized polymer could be found from the TGA analysis. The average DC conductivity of $2.8{\times}10^{-4}S/cm$ was observed for the synthesized polymer pellet after doping with hydrochloric acid.

In this study, the thermal degradation process has been investigated at various reaction temperature$(350{\sim}400^{\circ}C)$ and times$(30{\sim}120\;min)$ in order to recycle waste plastic films as solid state wax. Waste plastic films were easily melted by adding a small amount of waxes. The effects of wax addition and nitrogen flow rate on their thermal degradation properties were investigated. FT-IR, GPC and viscometer were used to analyze properties of the solid wax including the structure, molicular weight distribution and melt viscosity. The average molecular weight of solid wax was decreased with increasing the reaction time, temperature and amount of wax added, Also, the viscosity of solid wax decreased with increasing the stirring speed at a constant reaction temperature and time, and its viscosity got close to zero above $390^{\circ}C$.

According as gradually increasing the demand for Eco-friendly products it has been progressed fairly development at a field of printing and printing inks. The Inks are used by soy oil beginning of ink industry for preventing environment. Now it is possible to make Eco-friendly inks with vegetable ester. So it is not necessary to use petroleum-based solvents for preventing environment. But There is some problems if using vegetable ester to inks. Vegetable ester has high solubility, it causes misting and low viscosity of the Inks. So resin is required high performance. Thus, in this paper, I studied about the properties variation of the Varnish and inks According to using the phenolic modified rosin ester and Soy oil Methyl esters. The compared in order of average molecular weight by the GPC method, rheological properties were found by rotational rheometer, and emulsion behavior were compared by high speed emulsification tester.
Fucoidans were degraded by hydrogen peroxide under the electron beam (2.5 MeV) with various radiation doses (5 kGy, 10 kGy, 15 kGy, and 20 kGy) at room temperature. The degradation property was analyzed with a gel permeation chromatography (GPC-MALLS) method. An average molecular weight of fucoidan decreased from 99,956 at the irradiation dose of 0 kGy to 6,725 at the irradiation dose of 20 kGy. The solution viscosity of fucoidans showed a similar pattern to the molecular weight change. The number of chain breaks per molecule (N) increased with increasing the irradiation dose and concentration of hydrogen peroxide. The radiation yield of scission value markedly increased with increasing the irradiation dose up to 15 kGy. Also a 10% hydrogen peroxide concentration was more efficient than that of 5%. The structures of degraded fucoidan samples were studied with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The results showed that the degradation process did not significantly change the chemical structure or the content of sulfate group. The sulfur content of each sample was determined with an Elemental Analyzer. With increasing the concentration of hydrogen peroxide, the ratios of sulfur/carbon, hydrogen/carbon, and nitrogen/carbon slightly decreased. The antioxidant activities of fucoidans were investigated based on hydroxyl radical scavenging activities. The ability of fucoidan to inhibit the hydroxyl radical scavenging activity was depended on its molecular weight.

In this study, some experimental results of the peroxide-degradation process of polypropylene(PP) in a co-rotating twin-screw extruder to produce controlled rheology polypropylene(CRPP) are presented. The peroxide was dicumyl peroxide(DCP) and the concentration of DCP was in the range 0-0.3 wt%. It was found that the rheological properties of PP change significantly during reactive extrusion. Melt flow index(MFI) increased with DCP concentration. Intrinsic viscosity decreases with increasing DCP concentration. From dynamic rheological data, number average molecular weight(Mn), weight average molecular weight(Mn) and molecular weight distribution(MWD) were calculated. Results indicated that Mw decreases and MWD becomes narrower with increasing peroxide concentration. Especially, particle size distribution of CRPP decreases with increasing DCP concentration by chemical powdering process, and anti-slip floor paint, CRPP(DCP 0.2 wt%) powder by 10phr was friction coefficient 2.15 ${\mu}$, abrasion resistance 511.18%.
The phase-transfer catalyzed radical polymerization of styrene was carried out using tricaprylylmethylammonium chloride as a phase-transfer catalyst in a two-phase system of an aqueous $Na_2S_2O_8$ solution and toluene at $60^{\circ}C$ under nitrogen atmosphere. The initial rate of radical polymerization was expressed as the combined terms of concentrations of quaternary onium cation and peroxydisulfate anion in the aqueous phase rather than the fed concentrations of catalyst and $Na_2S_2O_8$. The observed initial rate of radical polymerization was used to analyze the radical polymerization mechanism with a cycle phase-transfer initiation step in the heterogeneous liquid-liquid system. The viscosity average molecular weight of polystyrene was inversely proportional to concentration of $Na_2S_2O_8$ expressed as $[Q^+]([S_2O{_8}^{2-}]{\alpha}_2)^{1/2}$ derived by the radical polymerization mechanism.

An intermediate, tetramethylene bis (orthophosphate), was prepared by the esterification of pyrophosphoric acid and l,4-butanediol. Then pyrophosphoric-containing modified polyesters (ATTBs) were synthesized by polycondensation of tetramethylene bis(orthophosphate), trimethylolpropane, adipic acid, and l,4-butanediol. The content of l,4-butanediol was varied from 10 to 20wt% for the reaction. The increase of the amount of l,4-butanediol in the synthesis of ATTBs resulted in increase in average molecular weight and decrease in kinematic viscosity owing to the excellent flowability and reactivity of l,4-butanediol.

We investigated the properties of Korean traditional animal glue which are associated with the use of different parts of cattle hide and extraction conditions. Both average molecular weight(Mw, Mz) and polydispersity (PDI) of the animal glue increased with extraction time, whereas only PDI decreased after 48h. There were no differences in the average molecular weight and PDI for the different cattle hide parts used, although a individual difference was observed with regard to total molecular weight. Differences in extracts over time were compared by investigating the amide regions representing the gelatien component of the animal glue. The triple helix structure of the belly skin deteriorated in a manner proportional to the extraction time, and differences were observed for each cattle hide part. The yellowness increased with the extraction time; however, the viscosity was not proportional to the average change in molecular weight. This study has some limitations because of difficulties in the quality control of cases where small amounts of glue were extracted as small differences might impact the overall results considerably. Further research exploring various extraction conditions is required to ensure the prodiction of traditional animal glue with optimum qualities.
