  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive scalable encryption scheme for the layered architecture of SVC video. The proposed method determines an appropriate set of encryption algorithms to be applied for the layers of SVC by considering the importance and priority relationship among the SVC video layers. Unlike the conventional encryption method based on a fixed encryption algorithm for the whole video layers, the proposed method applies differentiated encryption algorithms with different encryption strength the importance of the video layers. Thereupon, higher security could be maintained for the lower video layer including more important data, while lower encryption strength could be applied for the higher video layer with relatively less important data. The effectiveness of the proposed adaptive scalable encryption method is proved by extensive simulations.

  • Achieve real-time encryption and video data transcoding, current video encryption methods usually integrate encryption algorithm with video compression course. This paper is devoted to discussing the video encryption technology, by encrypting to avoid unauthorized person getting video data. This paper studied the H.264 entropy coding and proposed of CAVLC video encryption scheme which is combined with the process of entropy coding of H.264 CAVLC encryption scheme. Three encryption levels are proposed. In addition, a scrambling method is also proposed which makes the encrypted frames more robust in anti crack. This method showed more robust video data encryption function and compressive rate.

  • By emphasize and enhance security in encryption of same viewdata in this research, constructed video conference system that apply real time video encryption techniques that confidentiality and integrity aspect are emphasized than video conference system that depend on existent user certification techniques. Sender's image transmits Vernam's encryption process to listener by packet. Listener can display image through image's decipher process and uncompress after unite receiving transmited image. This time, solved transmission speed delay problem by video's real time encryption using Vernam's algorithm that encryption and the decipher speed are fast. Simplification problem of Vernam algorithm wished to solve Session Key that use security Key that is used encipherment and decipher in channel between Client and Server using RSA algorithm.

  • Recently, the standardization of SVC technology which can provide adaptive video quality in diverse service environments has been completed. This paper proposes a layered encryption technique which takes into account the prioritized layer characteristics of SVC and control constant encryption complexity satisfying the target computational complexity. In particular, it analyzes the importance of NAL unit in the SVC video layer and suggests a method to apply appropriate encryption complexity proper for it. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved through the comparison of time required for encryption and the reconstructed video quality using imperfect decryption key.

  • As a growing number of individuals are exposed to surveillance cameras, the need to prevent captured videos from being used inappropriately has increased. Privacy-related information can be protected through video encryption during transmission or storage, and several algorithms have been proposed for such purposes. However, the simple way of evaluating the security by counting the number of brute-force trials is not proper for measuring the security of video encryption algorithms, considering that attackers can devise specially crafted attacks for specific purposes by exploiting the characteristics of the target video codec. In this paper, we introduce a new attack for recovering contour information from encrypted H.264 video. The attack can thus be used to extract face outlines for the purpose of personal identification. We analyze the security of previous video encryption schemes against the proposed attack and show that the security of these schemes is lower than expected in terms of privacy protection. To enhance security, an advanced block shuffling method is proposed, an analysis of which shows that it is more secure than the previous method and can be an improvement against the proposed attack.

  • In this paper, we propose a video encryption method using pseudo-random numbers based on MLCA(Maximal length Cellular Automata). Firstly, we generate a basis image which is composed with pseudo-random numbers, using MLCA. Futhermore, The original video is encrypted by computing XOR operation between the basis image and each frame of original video. The video encryption is conducted in accordance with one or two rules, and is evaluated.

  • The paper describes the implementation of the video conferencing system using public key infrastructure which is used for user authentication and media stream encryption. Using public key infrastructure, we are able to reinforce the authentication for conference participant and block several malicious hacking while protecting conference control information. The paper shows the implementation of the transportation layer secure protocol in conformity with Korea public key authentication algorithm standard and symmetric key encryption algorithm (RC2, SEED, DES and 3DES) for media stream encryption. The feature of the paper is transportation layer secure protocol that is implemented for protection of information on a user authentication and video conference and the media streaming encryption algorithm also can be envisioned with another block encryption algorithm. The key for media streaming encryption may be safely distributed by the transportation layer secure protocol.

  • With widespread use of the Internet and improvements in streaming media and compression technology, digital music, video, and image can be distributed instantaneously across the Internet to end-users. However, most conventional Digital Right Management are often not secure and fast enough to process the vast amount of data generated by the multimedia applications to meet the real-time constraints. In this paper, we propose the copyright protection using encryption of DCT coefficients and motion vector in MPEG-4 video codec of mobile device. This paper presents a new Digital Rights Management that modifies the Motion Vector of Macroblock for mobile device. Experimental results indicate that the proposed DRM can not only achieve very low cost of the encryption but also enable separable authentication to individual mobile devices such as Portable Multimedia Player and Personal Digital Assistants. The performance of the proposed methods have low complexity and low increase of bit rate in overhead.

But, leakage of important meeting content, peculation etc., in that execute video-conferences can happen. Therefore, research about video conference system of safety is progressing under secure superhigh speed information communication fetters. This treatise studied about techniques to encipher videotex to prevent variation and outward flow of burn information, peculation etc., except general encryption notation such as user certification to have drawn problem about stability of general video conference system, and is used present as countermeasure about here. Used improved Vernam's encryption techniques to encrypt videotex.

  • To protect SVC(Scalable Video Coding) media, the encryption mechanism need to consider two fundamental issues; First, What is to be encrypted? Second, When encryption is performed with respect to compression? In this paper, we analyze the several encryption approaches with regard to the above issue. And we propose hybrid-based protection mechanism. This mechanism ensures the media scalability, layered access control and reuse protected content. In this experiment the proposed mechanism generates under 3% security overhead against standard scalable video coding.
