  • Recently, retrieval or various video data has become an important issue as more and more multimedia content services are being provided. To effectively deal with video data, a semantic-based retrieval scheme that allows for processing diverse user queries and saving them on the database is required. In this regard, this paper proposes a semantic-based video retrieval system that allows the user to search diverse meanings of video data for electrical safetyrelated educational purposes by means of automatic annotation processing. If the user inputs a keyword to search video data for electrical safety-related educational purposes, the mobile agent of the proposed system extracts the features of the video data that are afterwards learned in a continuous manner, and detailed information on electrical safety education is saved on the database. The proposed system is designed to enhance video data retrieval efficiency for electrical safety-related educational purposes.

  • Face-based video retrieval has become an active and important branch of intelligent video analysis. Face profiling and matching is a fundamental step and is crucial to the effectiveness of video retrieval. Although many algorithms have been developed for processing static face images, their effectiveness in face-based video retrieval is still unknown, simply because videos have different resolutions, faces vary in scale, and different lighting conditions and angles are used. In this paper, we combined content-based and semantic-based image analysis techniques, and systematically evaluated four mainstream local features to represent face images in the video retrieval task: Harris operators, SIFT and SURF descriptors, and eigenfaces. Results of ten independent runs of 10-fold cross-validation on datasets consisting of TED (Technology Entertainment Design) talk videos showed the effectiveness of our approach, where the SIFT descriptors achieved an average F-score of 0.725 in video retrieval and thus were the most effective, while the SURF descriptors were computed in 0.3 seconds per image on average and were the most efficient in most cases.

  • Video has become an important element of multimedia computing and communication environments, with applications as varied as broadcasting, education, publishing, and military intelligence. The necessity of the efficient methods for multimedia data retrieval is increasing more and more on account of various large scale multimedia applications. According1y, the retrieval and representation of video data becomes one of the main research issues in video database. As for the representation of the video data there have been mainly two approaches: (1) content-based video retrieval, and (2) annotation-based video retrieval This paper designs and implements a video retrieval system for using semantic-based annotation.

  • As non-face-to-face activities have become commonplace, online video conferencing platforms have become popular collaboration tools. However, existing video conferencing platforms have a structure in which one side unilaterally exchanges information, potentially increase the fatigue of meeting participants. In this study, we designed a video conferencing platform utilizing virtual reality (VR), a metaverse technology, to enable various interactions. A virtual conferencing space and realistic VR video conferencing content authoring tool support system were designed using Meta's Oculus Quest 2 hardware, the Unity engine, and 3D Max software. With the Photon software development kit, voice recognition was designed to perform automatic text translation with the Watson application programming interface, allowing the online video conferencing participants to communicate smoothly even if using different languages. It is expected that the proposed video conferencing platform will enable conference participants to interact and improve their work efficiency.

  • With the development of AI technology, there is a growing discussion about Text-to-Image Generative AI. We presented a Generative AI video production method and delineated a methodology for the production of personalized AI-generated videos with the objective of broadening the landscape of the video domain. And we meticulously examined the procedural steps involved in AI-driven video production and directly implemented a video creation approach utilizing the VQGAN-CLIP model. The outcomes produced by the VQGAN-CLIP model exhibited a relatively moderate resolution and frame rate, and predominantly manifested as abstract images. Such characteristics indicated potential applicability in OTT-based video content or the realm of visual arts. It is anticipated that AI-driven video production techniques will see heightened utilization in forthcoming endeavors.

  • The media content market has been growing, as various types of content are being mass-produced owing to the recent proliferation of the Internet and digital media. In addition, platforms that provide personalized services for content consumption are emerging and competing with each other to recommend personalized content. Existing platforms use a method in which a user directly inputs video metadata. Consequently, significant amounts of time and cost are consumed in processing large amounts of data. In this study, keyframes and audio spectra based on the YCbCr color model of a movie trailer were extracted for the automatic generation of metadata. The extracted audio spectra and image keyframes were used as learning data for genre recognition in deep learning. Deep learning was implemented to determine genres among the video metadata, and suggestions for utilization were proposed. A system that can automatically generate metadata established through the results of this study will be helpful for studying recommendation systems for media super-personalization.

  • This study explores an innovative advertising technique on Bilibili, where product links are embedded as bullet comments visible only to mobile app users. The research involved 140 participants, divided equally between followers and non-followers of a popular influencer, 'Gourmet WanggangR.' These groups were further split, with half viewing a video containing the product link on the app and the other half via PC. The study revealed that influencer attachment significantly increased viewer immersion (transportation) and positively influenced attitudes towards the content, which in turn elevated purchase intentions. Importantly, the influencer's followers showed a stronger attachment and more favorable attitudes towards the content, alongside a heightened likelihood to purchase the advertised product. The presence of the product link further accentuated these effects among the influencer's followers. Conversely, in the absence of the link, the correlation between influencer attachment and content attitude was less pronounced. These findings highlight the effectiveness of embedding product links in video content as a marketing strategy, particularly when targeting an influencer's followers through mobile platforms.

  • The recent development of information and communication technology has a great impact on the audio/video industry. In particular, IP-based AoIP transmission technology and AVB technology are making changes in the audio/video market. Video signal transmission technology has been introduced to the market through a network, but it has not replaced the video switcher function. Video signals in the conference room or classroom are still controlled by the switching device. In order to switch input/output video devices, a cable that is not limited by distance must be connected to the switcher. In addition, the control of the switching device must be performed by a person who has received professional training. In this paper, it is a technology that can be operated even by non-experts by replacing complex video cables (RGB, DVI, HDMI, DP) with LAN cables and enabling IP-based video switching and transmission (Video Mirroring over IP: VMoIP) to replace video switcher equipment. We are going to do this study, I/O videos were controlled in the form of matrix and high-definition videos were transmitted without distortion, and VMoIP is expected to become the standard for video switching systems in the future.
