Reversible Watermarking based Video Contents Management and Control technique using Biological Organism Model (생물학적 유기체 모델을 이용한 가역 워터마킹 기반 비디오 콘텐츠 관리 및 제어 기법)

  • The infectious information hiding system(IIHS) is proposed for secure distribution of high quality video contents by applying optimized watermark embedding and detection algorithms to video codecs. And the watermark as infectious information is transmitted while target video is displayed or edited by codecs. This paper proposes a fast and effective reversible watermarking and infectious information generation for IIHS. Our reversible watermarking scheme enables video decoder to control video quality and watermark strength actively for by adding control code and expiration date with the watermark. Also, we designed our scheme with low computational complexity to satisfy it's real-time processing in a video codec, and to prevent time or frame delay during watermark detection and video restoration, we embedded one watermark and one side information within a macro-block. Experimental results verify that our scheme satisfy real-time watermark embedding and detection and watermark error is 0% after reversible watermark detection. Finally, we conform that the quality of restored video contens is almost same with compressed video without watermarking algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 기반의 두가지 다른 코덱 시스템을 연구한다. 하나는 ITU H.263에 기반한 고정된 구조를 갖는 프레임 단위의 비디오 코덱이고, 다른 하나는 현재 진행중이고 1998년에 완성될 ISO MPEG-4 표준안에 기초하여 재배열이 가능한 유연한 구조를 갖는 오브젝트 단위의 비디오 코덱이다. 이러한 비디오 코덱들의 인트라, 인터넷 환경에서 소프트웨어에 기반한 실시간 및 유연한 구조의 구현 가능성을 알아보기 위하여 이들의 실험적인 구현을 시도한다.

  • 본 고에서는 최근 표준화가 진행되어 2020년에 표준화 완성을 앞두고 있는 VVC의 표준 기술들 중에서 화면 정보를 구성하는 픽쳐의 부호화 단위 및 분할 구조에 대해 설명한다. 본 고에서 설명되는 내용들은 VTM 6.0을 기준으로 삼는다. 세부적으로는 한 개의 픽처를 분할하는 구조들인 슬라이스, 타일, 브릭, 서브픽처에 대해서 설명한 후, 이 구조들의 내부를 구성하는 CTU 및 CU의 분할 구조에 대해서 설명한다.

Fractal Depth Map Sequence Coding Algorithm with Motion-vector-field-based Motion Estimation

  • Three-dimensional video coding is one of the main challenges restricting the widespread applications of 3D video and free viewpoint video. In this paper, a novel fractal coding algorithm with motion-vector-field-based motion estimation for depth map sequence is proposed. We firstly add pre-search restriction to rule the improper domain blocks out of the matching search process so that the number of blocks involved in the search process can be restricted to a smaller size. Some improvements for motion estimation including initial search point prediction, threshold transition condition and early termination condition are made based on the feature of fractal coding. The motion-vector-field-based adaptive hexagon search algorithm on the basis of center-biased distribution characteristics of depth motion vector is proposed to accelerate the search. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reach optimum levels of quality and save the coding time. The PSNR of synthesized view is increased by 0.56 dB with 36.97% bit rate decrease on average compared with H.264 Full Search. And the depth encoding time is saved by up to 66.47%. Moreover, the proposed fractal depth map sequence codec outperforms the recent alternative codecs by improving the H.264/AVC, especially in much bitrate saving and encoding time reduction.

Fast Disparity Motion Vector Searching Method for the MV-HEVC (MV-HEVC에서 빠른 변위 움직임 벡터 탐색 방법)

  • Multi-view video codec based on the High Efficiency Video Coding (MV-HEVC) has high encoding complexity because it exploits an additional reference picture for disparity compensation prediction (DCP) when the picture of dependent view is encoded. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to reduce the complexity of disparity motion vector search for the MV-HEVC. The proposed method includes the initial search point decision method using affine transform and the adaptive search range decision method. The simulation results show that the proposed method reduces the complexity of disparity motion vector search up to 90.78% with negligible coding efficiency degradation. Also the results show that the proposed method outperforms other conventional techniques reducing complexity.

  • The primary aim of this paper is to propose a non-linear regression based technique for mapping different network Quality of Service (QoS) factors to an integrated end-user Quality of Experience (QoE) or Mean Opinion Score (MOS) value for an online video streaming service on a mobile phone. We use six network QoS factors for finding out the user QoE. The contribution of this paper is threefold. First, we investigate the impact of the network QoS factors on the perceived video quality. Next, we perform an individual mapping of the significant network QoS parameters obtained in stage 1 to the user QoE based upon a non-linear regression method. The optimal QoS to QoE mapping function is chosen based upon a decision variable. In the final stage, we evaluate the integrated QoE of the system by taking the combined effect of all the QoS factors considered. Extensive subjective tests comprising of over 50 people across a wide variety of video contents encoded with H.265/HEVC and VP9 codec have been conducted in order to gather the actual MOS data for the purpose of QoS to QoE mapping. Our proposed hybrid model has been validated against unseen data and reveals good prediction accuracy.

  • Ultra-High Definition Television (U-HDTV) is a promising candidate for the next generation television. Since the U-HDTV video signal requires a huge amount of data, parallel implementation of the U-HDTV compression system is highly demanding. In the conventional parallel video codec, a video is divided into sub-sequences and the sub-sequences are independently encoded. In this paper, for efficient parallel processing, we propose a pipelined encoding structure which exploits cross-correlation among the sub-sequences. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed technique improves the coding efficiency and provides the sub-sequences of the balanced visual quality.

  • Video sequence should be hierachically classified for the content-based retrieval. Cut detection algorithm is an essential process to classify shots. It is generally difficult for cut detection algorithms to detect cut points since a current frame is compared with a previous one, because movement of camera or object made adrupt scene change. We reduce ratio of failed cut detection so that compare the difference between frames of predicted cut point and their neighbors. In this paper, first we get predicted cut point, then we judge that the predicted cut point is true point or not. And we extracted DC images in MPEG video sequence for comparison. As a result of experiments. We confirmed that the cut detection ratio of the proposed algorithm is higher than of any other algorithms.
