유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 유도 전동기의 벡터 제어 (Vector control of the induction machine by an genetic algorithm)

  • The induction machine has been used frequently for the system that needs static speed because of its simplicity, durability, credibility and efficiency. But it is nonlinear system for its multi-variable interference. Its controller is more complicated than DC machine's one. So vector control method is needed for its high Performance control. This paper shows that vector control algorithm could be more fast and stable by using Genetic algorithm (GA) based upon Darwin's evolution theory and Mendel's genetics. Methods proposed in here are used to design induction machine's vector controller and to use GA for optimizing the controller's parameter. 모션 벡터의 각도 성분 추정을 통한 카메라 움직임 검출 (Camera Motion Detection Using Estimation of Motion Vector's Angle)

  • In this paper, we propose a new algorithm that is robust against the effects of objects that are relatively unaffected by camera motion and can accurately detect camera motion even in high resolution images. First, for more accurate camera motion detection, a global motion filter based on entropy of a motion vector is used to distinguish the background and the object. A block matching algorithm is used to find exact motion vectors. In addition, a matched filter with the angle of the ideal motion vector of each block is used. Motion vectors including 4 kinds of diagonal direction, zoom in, and zoom out are added additionally. The experiment shows that the precision, recall, and accuracy of camera motion detection compared to the recent results is improved by 12.5%, 8.6% and 9.5%, respectively.

  • Multilevel inverters have gained attention in high-power applications due to their numerous advantages in comparison with conventional two-level inverters. In this paper a simplified Space-Vector Modulation (SVM) algorithm for a three-level Neutral-Point Clamped (NPC) inverter is implemented on a Freescale$^{(R)}$ DSP56F8037. The algorithm is based on a simplification of the space-vector diagram for a three-level inverter so that it can be used with a two-level inverter. Once the simplification has been achieved, calculation of the dwell times and the switching sequences are carried out in the same way as for the two-level SVM method. Details of the hardware design are included. Experimental results are analyzed to validate the performance of the simplified algorithm.

  • Many of the currently used PN code acquisition algorithms detect the phase of the incoming PN signal on the basis of ML estimation principle and utilize statistics grounded in taking inner products. As an extension of PN code acquisition algorithm using one auxiliary code introduced by Salih in 1996, we propose a more and optimal (hardware / time / space complexity wise) algorithm by using a vector space approach. We outline some important differences between our algorithm and that introduced by Salih and in the process point out some advantages of our algorithm.

An Approximate Euclidean Distance Calculation for Fast VQ Encoding

  • In this paper, we present a fast encoding algorithm for vector quantization with an approximate Euclidean distance calculation. An approximation is performed by converting floating point to the near integer. An inequality between the approximate Euclidean distance and the nearest distance is developed to avoid unnecessary distance calculations. Since the proposed algorithm rejects those codewords that are impossible to be the nearest codeword, it produces the same output as conventional full search algorithm.

  • Many Victims and property damage are caused in fires. In this paper, an flame detection algorithm is proposed to early alarm fires. The proposed flame detection algorithm is based on 2-stage decision strategy of video processing. The first decision is to check with color distribution of input vidoe. In the second, the candidated region is settled as fire region with activity. As a result of simulation, it is shown that the proposed algorithm is useful for fire recognition.

  • 본 논문에서는 커널완화법과 동적모멘트를 이용한 support vector machines의 학습성능 개선을 제안하였다. 제안된 학습 방법은 기존의 정적모멘트와는 달리 수렴 정도에 따라 현재의 학습에 과거의 학습 속성을 반영하는 동적모멘트 방법이다. 기존의 정적 상수로 정의된 모멘트가 전체 학습에 동등하게 영향을 주는 반면 제안된 동적모멘트를 이용한 학습방법은 학습 수행에 따라 동적으로 모멘트를 변경함으로써 수렴속도와 학습 성능을 효과적으로 제어할 수 있다. 제안된 학습법을 support vector machine의 새로운 순차 학습 방법인 커널완화법에 적용하였다. 신경망 분류기 표준 평가 데이터인 SONAR 데이터를 이용하여 실험한 곁과 동적모멘트를 이용한 방법이 수렴속도와 학습 성능면에서 기존의 커널완화법과 정적모멘트를 이용한 학습법에 비해 향상된 성능을 보이는 것을 확인하였다.

A Novel Modulation Method for Three-Level Inverter Neutral Point Potential Oscillation Elimination

  • A novel algorithm is proposed to regulate the neutral point potential in neutral point clamped three-level inverters. Oscillations of the neutral point potential and an unbalanced dc-link voltage cause distortions of the output voltage. Large capacitors, which make the application costly and bulky, are needed to eliminate oscillations. Thus, the algorithm proposed in this paper utilizes the finite-control-set model predictive control and the multistage medium vector to solve these issues. The proposed strategy consists of a two-step prediction and a cost function to evaluate the selected multistage medium vector. Unlike the virtual vector method, the multistage medium vector is a mixture of the virtual vector and the original vector. In addition, its amplitude is variable. The neutral point current generated by it can be used to adjust the neutral point potential. When compared with the virtual vector method, the multistage medium vector contributes to decreasing the regulation time when the modulation index is high. The vectors are rearranged to cope with the variable switching frequency of the model predictive control. Simulation and experimental results verify the validity of the proposed strategy.

다중 참조영상 움직임 추정에 적응을 위한 연속 제거 알고리즘 기반 고속화 알고리즘 (Fast Algorithm Based on Successive Elimination Algorithm for Multi-Reference Motion Estimation)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 참조영상에 적용을 위한 고속 움직임 추정 (motion estimation) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 우선 전역움직임추정방법(full search)의 고속 알고리즘인 연속 제거 알고리즘(successive elimination algorithm)을 다중 참조영상(multi-reference frames)에 적용하였을 때의 결과를 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 계산량 감축 방안을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 바로 이전 영상에 대한 움직임 벡터를 연속 제거 알고리즘을 적용하여 추출하고, 그 외의 참조영상에 대해서는 이전 영상에서 얻어진 움직임 벡터를 기반으로 외삽(extrapolation)을 수행함으로써 추정한다. 이 추정된 벡터를 중심으로 탐색범위를 적응적으로 제한함으로써 화질 저하를 최소화시키면서 계산량을 크게 감축하도록 제안하였다. 실험을 통해 제안된 방법의 성능을 분석하고 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents a implementation of speed sensorless vector control algorithm of induction motor using MATLAB/SIMULINK amd dSPACE DSl104 R&D board. The estimation of rotor flux linkage and rotor speed is carried out using model reference adaptive system(MRAS) method. Estimated rotor speed is used to speed controller of induction motor. Simulation results are presented to confirm speed sensorless vector control algorithm.
