A New 24-Nor-Lupane-Glycoside of Acanthopanax trifoliatus

  • A new 24-nor-lupaneglycoside was isolated from the leaves of Acanthopanax trifoliatus. Based on spectroscopic data its chemical structure was determined as 24-nor-11$\alpha$-hydroxy-3-oxo-lup-20(29)-en-28-oic acid 28-Ο-$\alpha$-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1$\rightarrow4)-\beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1\rightarrow6)-\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl ester.

영상에서 선형순위검정법을 이용한 에지검출 비교 (Comparison of Edge Detection using Linear Rank Tests in Images)

  • 본 논문에서는 통계학의 선형순위통계량(linear rank statistics)에 기초한 3가지 비모수 검정법 즉. Wilcoxon 검정법, Median 검정법 그리고 Van der Waerden 검정법을 이용하여 에지를 검출하고자 한다. 5$\times$5 윈도우상에서 중심픽셀의 에지여부는 에지-높이 모수(edge-height parameter)를 사용한 모형 하에서 두 영역간의 유의한 차이가 있는지를 검정함으로서 결정한다. 영상실험에서 통계적 방법들 간의 에지검출 성능은 에지맵(edge map)을 통한 정성적인 비교와 객관적인 척도 하에서 정량적인 비교를 통하여 분석하였다.

탄소나노튜브 구조를 이용한 NEMS소자의 비선형 동역학 (Nonlinear Dynamics of Carbon Nanotube-Based Nanoelectromechanical Device)

  • A carbon nanotube-based nanoelectromechanical device in resonance is examined theoretically. Mechanical deflections are electrically induced and resonantly excited at the fundamental frequency in cantilevered carbon nanotube. The electrically conducting elastic beam with van der Waals interactions at the tip is used for the modeling of the carbon nanotube device. Due to the elastic, electrical, and van der Waals interactions, the total energy of the system shows the unsymmetric two-well potentials. The predictions can be made that the device exhibits its nonlinear dynamic features in the two-well potentials. Also it is predicted that the fundamental frequency of the carbon nanotube device was changed by the nonlinear interactions induced by electrical and van der Waals potentials between carbon nanotube and ground surface of the device.

MEK와 톨루엔의 촉매연소 속도특성 (Catalytic Incineration Kinetics of Gaseous MEK and Toluene)

  • In this study, the incineration of MEK and toluene was studied on a Pt supported alumina catalyst at temperature range from 200 to $350^{\circ}C$. An approach based on the Mars-van Krevelen rate model was used to explain the results. The object of this study was to study the kinetic behavior of the platinum catalyst for deep oxidation. The conversions of MEK and toluene were increased as the inlet concentration was decreased and the reaction temperature was increased. The maximum deep conversion of MEK and toluene were 91.81% and 55.69% at $350^{\circ}C$, respectively. The ${\kappa}_3$ constant increases with temperature faster than the ${\kappa}_1$ constant, that is, the surface concentration of ($VOCs{\cdots}O$) is higher than that of (O) at higher temperature according to the Mars-van Krevelen mechanism. Also the activation energy of toluene was larger than MEK for toluene is aromatic compound which have stronger bonding energy.Therefore, the catalytic incineration kinetics of MEK and toluene with Mars-van Krevelen mechanism could be used as the basic data for industrial processes.

PERSISTENCE OF PERIODIC TRAJECTORIES OF PLANAR SYSTEMS UNDER TWO PARAMETRIC PERTURBATIONS

  • We consider a two parametric family of the planar systems with the form $\dot{x}=P(x,\;y)+{\in}_1p_1(x,\;y)+{\in}_2p_2(x,\;y)$, $\dot{y}=Q(x,\;y)+{\in}_1p_1(x,\;y)+{\in}_2p_2(x,\;y)$, where the unperturbed equation(${\in}_1={\in}_2=0$) is assumed to have at least one periodic solution or limit cycle. Our aim here is to study the behavior of the system under two parametric perturbations; in fact, using the Poincare-Andronov technique, we impose conditions on the system which guarantee persistence of the periodic trajectories. At the end, we apply the result on the Van der Pol equation ; where, we consider the effect of nonlinear damping on the equation. Also the Hopf bifurcation for the Van der Pol equation will be investigated.

The Measurement and Prediction of Minimum Flash Point Behaviour for Flammable Binarry Solution Using Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Tester

  • The flash point of liquid solution is one of the most important flammability properties that used in hazard and risk assessments. Minimum flash point behaviour (MFPB) is showed when the flash point of a liquid mixture is below the flash points of the individual components. In this paper, the lower flash points for the flammable binary system, n-decane+n-octanol, were measured by Pensky-Martens closed cup tester. This binary mixture exhibited MFPB. The measured flash points were compared with the values calculated by the Raoult's law and the optimization method using van Laar and UNIQUAC equations. The optimization method were found to be better than those based on the Raoult's law, and successfully estimated MFPB. The opimization method based on the van Laar equation described the experimentally-derived data more effectively than was the case when the prediction model was based upon the UNIQUAC.

  • VAN 시스템에서 운영되는 소프트웨어는 개발이 완료한 후에도 업체들의 다양한 요구 사항을 수용해야한다. 소프트웨어 개발 초기에 갖추어진 개발문서들은 오랜 유지보수 기간이 지나면 초기 개발의 내용과 많은 부분이 다르다. 이때 개발자가 각 각의 요구사항을 수용할 때 경험을 토대로 수정하기 때문에 개발문서가 정확하게 반영되지 않는다. 이러한 경우에 개발문서는 그 역할을 수행하지 못하므로 소스 코드에 의지 할 수밖에 없다. 또한 절차식 언어로 개발된 소프트웨어의 경우는 유지보수가 더 어렵다. 절차식 언어를 객체지향 언어로 변경한다면 유지보수성이 높아 질 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 역공학을 이용하여 기존의 절차식 언어를 객체 지향 언어로 변경하기 위한 과정을 제안한다.

Treatment of surface water using cold plasma for domestic water supply

  • This paper presents the results of using cold plasma to treat surface water for domestic use purpose. Experimental results showed that cold plasma was an effective method for destroying bacteria in water. After treatment with cold plasma, concentration of coliform and Escherichia coli dramatically reduced. Besides, cold plasma significantly removed water odor, increased dissolved oxygen and decreased the concentration of chemical oxygen demand. However, cold plasma significantly raised the concentration of nitrite and nitrate. Other disadvantages of treating with cold plasma were conductivity increase and pH reduction. Pretreatment steps of coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation and sand filtration followed by disinfection with cold plasma exhibited a high efficiency in surface water treatment. All parameters of surface water after treatment by using the prototype satisfied with the allowance standard of domestic water quality.

가연성물질의 인화점에 관한 연구- 1. 순수성분 및 2성분계 혼합물- (A Study on Flash Points of Flammable Substances- 1. Pure Substances and A Mixture of Binary System -)

  • 인화점은 일반적으로 가연성액체의 화재 및 폭발의 위험지수로써 사용된다. 인화점의 구분은 혼합용제와 같은 가연성액체를 안전하게 취급하기 위해서 매우 중요하다. 순수성분 및 혼합용제의 인화점은 라울의 법칙, 달톤의 법칙, 르 샤틀리에 법칙 그리고 활동도계수 모델을 사용함으로써 계산할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 가연성 2성분계인 메칠에칠케톤과 톨루엔계의 하부인화점과 상부인화점의 실험자룔르 라울의 법칙과 van Laar식에 의해 계산된 값과 비교하였다. 순수물질의 실험자료는 증기압과 폭발한계에 의해 계산된 예측값과 일치하였다. 메칠에칠케톤과 톨루엔계의 하부인화점의 실험자료는 라울의 법칙에 의해 예측된 값과 일치하였고, 상부인화점의 실험자료는 van Laar식에 의해 예측된 값과 일치하였다. 따라서 제시한 방법론에 의해 가연성혼합용제의 인화점 실험자료의 신뢰도 평가가 가능하다.
