가상주행환경 기반 초음파 센서의 승합차 측면 보행자 인식 (Pedestrian Detection Using Ultrasonic Distance Sensors Based on Virtual Driving Environments)

  • In shuttle vans designed to transport children, the recognition of a child's approach and departure is very important. Ultrasonic sensors are generally used for a short distance around a vehicle. Although ultrasonic sensors are cheaper than other ADAS sensors, the number of sensors installed in a van should be optimized. In order to recognize the presence of a child around a shuttle van, this paper proposes the placement of ultrasonic sensors in the van. Considering the turning radius of the van and the distance from each sensor to a child, collision risk is classified as 'safe', 'warning', and 'danger'. The sensor placement and the recognition algorithm are verified in a virtual driving environment.

Van der Woude syndrome presenting as a single median lower lip pit with associated dental, orofacial and limb deformities: a rare case report

  • Although it is a rare developmental malformation, van der Woude syndrome is the most common form of syndromic orofacial clefting, accounting for approximately 2% of all cleft cases. The lower lip pits with or without a cleft lip or palate is characteristic of the syndrome. Findings, such as hypodontia, limb deformities, popliteal webs, ankylogossia, ankyloblepheron, and genitourinary and cardiovascular abnormalities, are rarely associated with the syndrome. This paper reports a rare case of van der Woude syndrome in a 10-year-old male patient with a single median lower lip pit and a repaired bilateral cleft lip and cleft palate that were associated with microstomia, hypodontia, and clubbing of the left foot with syndactyly of the second to fifth lesser toes of the same foot.

FUNWAVE-TVD 수치모형을 이용한 수중천퇴를 통과하는 불규칙파의 수치모의에서 TVD 기법들에 의한 수치해 비교 (Comparison of Numerical Solutions by TVD Schemes in Simulations of Irregular Waves Propagating over a Submerged Shoal Using FUNWAVE-TVD Numerical Model)

  • 최근 개발된 FUNWAVE-TVD 파랑모형을 이용하여 적용되어 온 TVD 기법들의 수렴도와 수치적인 안정성을 비교하였다. Yamamoto and Daiguji(1993)의 minmod limiter를 사용하는 4차 정확도의 MUSCL-TVD 기법과 Erduran et al.(2005)의 van-Leer limiter를 사용하는 4차 정확도의 MUSCL-TVD 기법, Zhou et al.(2001)의 van-Leer limiter를 사용하는 2차 정확도의 MUSCL-TVD 기법을 비교하였으며, 수리실험 관측치가 제시되어 있는 Vincent and Briggs(1989)의 불규칙 파랑실험에 적용하였다. 불규칙 파랑의 비쇄파 실험 결과에서 minmod limiter를 사용하는 4차 정확도의 기법은 van-Leer limiter를 사용하는 기법이 요구하는 격자의 크기만큼 세밀한 격자를 요구하지는 않지만, 더 낮은 CFL을 사용해야 안정적인 모의가 가능하였다. 반면에 van-Leer limiter를 사용하는 기법에서는 numerical dissipation을 줄이기 위하여 보다 세밀한 격자를 필요로 하지만 비교적 높은 CFL을 사용할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 각 기법의 numerical dissipation의 영향을 최대한 줄이기 위하여 공간격자를 충분히 줄인 쇄파 모의 실험에서는 비쇄파 실험에 비하여 각 기법의 특성이 명확히 나타났다. Numerical dissipation이 상대적으로 작은 minmod limiter를 사용하는 기법으로 모의할 때는 격자를 충분히 줄이면 수치적인 불안정성이 나타나며 수치해가 발산하는 결과를 보였지만, van-Leer limiter를 사용하는 기법에서는 비교적 낮은 CFL을 사용하여 쇄파 모의가 완료되었으며, 관측치를 잘 재현하는 결과를 보였다.

  • Quantum theory of Niels Bohr received the Nobel Prize in Physics was rooted to the Oriental thought 'Yin-Yang and the Five Elements 陰陽五行', and architect Frank Lloyd Wright is also known as Lao Tzu's thoughts on the best architectural theory. Thus, the western architecture and oriental thought is very similar to the concept development. On the basis of this fact, the architectural philosophy of Mies van der Rohe is closely contact with Lao Tzu's Taoism, that is 'The greatest has no boundary 大象無形, Tao Te Ching chap.41' or 'The way to be is not to be 有道者 不處, Tao Te Ching chap.24'. Hence the aim of this thesis is to investigate the interrelation between the German architect Mies van der Rohe's 'almost nothing' and the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu's 'Taoism'.

반 두즈버그의 시.공간 표현형식 (An Expression Method of Space-Time in Van Doesburg's works)

  • Van Doesburg founded the magazine De Stijl with Mondrian in 1917. De Stijl movement was influenced by Cubist painting as well as by the mysticism and the ideas about ideal geometric forms in the neoplatonic philosophy. De Stijl proposed ultimate simplicity and abstraction by using only straight horizontal and vertical lines and rectangular forms. Furthermore, their formal vocabulary was limited to the primary colours, red, yellow, and blue, and the three primary values, black, white, and grey. The works avoided symmetry and attained aesthetic balance by the use of opposition. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements In 1924 their different concepts about space and time were split between Van Doesburg and Mondrian. Van Doesburg launched a new concept for his art, Elementarism, which was characterized by the diagonal lines and rivaled with Mondrian's Neo-Plasticism. The works of De Stijl would influence the Bauhaus style and the international style of architecture.

  • 4S-Van is being developed in order to provide the spatial data rapidly and accurately. 4S-Van technique is a system for spatial data construction that is heart of 4S technique. Architecture of 4S-Van system consists of hardware integration part and post-processing part. Hardware part has GPS, INS, color CCD, camera, B/W CCD camera, infrared rays camera, and laser. Software part has GPS/INS integration algorithm, coordinate conversion, lens correction, camera orientation correction, and three dimension position production. In this paper, we suggest that adequate 4S-Van design is needed according to application environment from various test results.

In-Service Mathematics Teacher Training from the Van Hiele Theory Perspective

  • In this work we present a study undertaken with in-service mathematics teachers of primary and secondary school where we describe and analyze the didactical competences needed to implement an innovative design in geometry applying Van Hiele's models. The relationship between such competences and an ideal teacher profile is also studied. Teachers' epistemology is established in terms of didactical competences and we can see that this epistemology is an element that helps us understand the difficulties that teachers face in practice when implementing an innovative curriculum, in this case, geometry based on the Van Hiele theory.

  • This study analyzed the fashion design features of Iris van Herpen and createdsixdigital fashion designsusing the SCAMPER technique with 3D clothing design software, incorporating a futuristic theme. The research methodology involvedcase analysis and a literature survey. First, the study summarizedthe design style and characteristics of Iris van Herpen. Second, a design concept wasestablished, and a design mood board wascreated. Third, the resulting design features were combined with the SCAMPER technique to incorporate Iris van Herpen's design elements intonew digital fashion designs. Fourth, after discussion with the professor and expert group, six designs were selected for production. They includededgy suit coats, overcoats, asymmetrical hoodies and asymmetrical skirts, irregularly shaped tops, dresses, leggings, jackets,and fishtail skirts. This study provides a reference for the future development of digital fashion designs and showcases the integration of science and technology in fashion design.

드리스 반 노튼 컬렉션 고찰 (2) - 1992년 S/S ~ 2014년 F/W 남성복을 중심으로 - (An Observation on Dries Van Noten's Collections (2) - Focus on Men's Collections from 1992 S/S to 2014 F/W -)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between the inspirations and designs of Dries Van Noten's Men's collections from 1992 S/S to 2014 F/W. The specific questions of this research are as follows: what are the important design features of the Dries Van Noten's Mixed collections from 1985 S/S to 1991 F/W? What are 'the roots of inspiration' of Dries Van Noten's Men's collections from 1992 S/S to 2014 F/W, and what are the aesthetic criterions of Noten's works? How can the roots of inspiration be categorized and what are its features? How did these roots of inspiration influence the Noten's designs? The paper is a reference of how ideas turn to practical works, and what the relationship between inspiration and design. Researchers utilized a qualitative research method providing a systematic review of the previous studies by analyzing the content. To conclude, roots of inspiration of Dries Van Noten's Men's collections can be classified into nine categories: 'Interpretation', 'Ethnic', 'Multiple Contents', 'Subculture', 'Region', 'Artist', 'Fashion Item', 'Sports', and 'New Trend'. Through the roots of inspiration, sensibility of Belgium, England, Italy, French chic, inquiry of ethnic, artist, sports, the neuter gender image, 1950's, 1960's & 1970's trend & style of street fashion, elegance for men, romanticism, zoot, rock 'n' roll, teddy boy, mods, punk, new romantic and 19th century's Anglo-Saxon style are extracted and applied to the designs through cross impact. The identity of Dries Van Noten's Men's collections are cross culture contents and harmony of the old generation and new generation.
