  • Project value can be increased by implementing the most suitable one or more Value Management Processes (VMP). For the past decades, a variety of innovative management processes have been increasingly introduced into the construction industry. Each VMP is considered to be significantly beneficial for capital facility projects to proactively achieve one or more project value objectives. This paper covers the compilation of the 44 VMPs and provides their leveraging project characteristics that require the implementation of one or more VMPs. The results of data collection establish relative importance between the VMPs and the project characteristic factors in collaboration with 51 experts from both industry and academia. In the lack of industry awareness of both VMPs and their causal factors, the results of this study can facilitate the implementation of the VMPs and ultimately enhance the value of a particular capital project.

  • Considering the rising interest in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) globally, various studies have shown that ESG practice increases firm value; however, there is still much debate. This study focuses on the relationship between ESG practice and firm value. Further, we identify the mechanisms constituting this relationship to address relevant research gaps. Specifically, this study examines the connection between ESG practice and corporate valuation, emphasizing the mediating role of a company's reputation. Using panel analysis of data from 145 Korean firms (2014-2021), the study reveals that ESG practices notably enhance firm value, signaling their significance to stakeholders. Corporate reputation acts as a bridge between ESG efforts and value, with corporate reputation's influence varying across industries. This research presents broad implications for both academic and industrial fields, highlighting the strategic importance of ESG in enhancing firm value.

It also compares and analyzes the relative importance of manufacturing enterprises by using the previous research conclusion. This study finds Product & Service factor(0.361) is the most important among Marketing(0.251), Financial aspects(0.234), and Infrastructure(0.154) are follows. For the sub factors, Value Proposition(0.254) is the most importance factors and Revenue Streams(0.154), and Key Activities(0.107), and Key Resources(0.100), and Channels(0.086) are follows. Also, The Marketing has higher relative importance for Manufacturing enterprises, whereas the Product&Service has higher relative importance for Knowledge Service Enterprises. It proves that there is a difference in the relative importance between Manufacturing Enterprises and Knowledge Service Enterprises. This study concludes the importance of business model factor is different for each respective industry. Therefore, it suggests to consider different industrial aspects when build the business model for each industry.

  • Based upon the vegetation data of woody plants by plot sampling method in the natural deciduous forest of Mt. Jeombong, the study was carried out to examine importance value, rank abundance curve, and species abundance curve, and comparatively evaluate seven different species diversity indices for Shannon-Wiener index, Simpson index, McIntosh index, Log series, Margalef index, Berger-Parker index, and species richness, according to topographic positions. The minimal area which meant only few more species were increased was 3.48 ha in total. The dominant species of valley were Carpinus cordata, Acer pseudo-sieboldianum, Quercus mongolica, Acer mono, and Abies holophylla, and the dominant species of mid-slope were Quercus mongolica, Acer pseudo-sieboldianum, Carpinus cordata, Tilia amurensis, and Fraxinus rhynchophylla. Moreover, the dominant species of ridge were Quercus mongolica, Acer pseudo-sieboldianum, Tilia amurensis, Fraxinus rhynchophylla, and Acer mono. According to rank abundance curve and species abundance curve, species evenness was also low. All of Log series, species richness, Margalef, and Shannon-Wiener index discriminated that valley had the highest diversity, and ridge had the lowest diversity; but, Simpson index, McIntosh index, and Berger-Parker index represented that mid-slope had the highest diversity, and ridge had the lowest diversity. Uniquely, in Berger-Parker index, mid-slope was the higher value than total.

  • This paper deals with identification of probabilistic design using reliability based robust optimization in structure design of automatic salt collector. The thickness sizing variables of main structure member in the automatic salt collector were considered the random design variables including the uncertainty of corrosion that would be an inevitable hazardousness in the saltern work environment. The probabilistic constraint functions were selected from the strength performances of the automatic salt collector. The reliability based robust optimum design problem was formulated such that the random design variables were determined by minimizing the weight of the automatic salt collector subject to the probabilistic strength performance constraints evaluating from reliability analysis. Mean value reliability method and adaptive importance sampling method were applied to the reliability evaluation in the reliability based robust optimization. The three sigma level quality was considered robustness in side constraints. The probabilistic optimum design results according to the reliability analysis methods were compared to deterministic optimum design results. The reliability based robust optimization using the mean value reliability method showed the most rational results for the probabilistic optimum structure design of the automatic salt collector.

  • Today's environment of enterprise is changing. They have to face customer' demands with the right product, the right service and supply them at the right time. And also cut down logistics and inventory cost and bring up the profit as much as they can. This means the change of putting enterprise first in importance to putting customer first importance. therefore to correspond to customer's demand, shorting lead time is becoming a essential condition. The answer to this changes of environment is supply chain management. In the Supply chain, The ATP function doesn't only give customers to conformation of delivery. It can be used by the core function with ATP rule that can reconcile supplies and demands on the supply chain. Therefore We can be acquire the conformation about on the due date of supplier by using the ATP function of management about real and concurrent access on the supply chain, also decide the affect about product availability due to forecasting or customer's orders through the ATP. In this paper, It consolidates the necessity on a CTP and analyzes data which is concerned of ATP. Under the these environments, defines the ATP rule that can improve the customer value and data flow related the LTV(Life Time Value) and builds on a algorithm.

  • The study was carried out to investigate the distribution and composition of community of Stewartia koreana in Temple Huibang and Mt. Sogri. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Within the forest floor cover species of the Temple Huibang forest, higher importance value were observed as Calamagrostis arundinacea. Sasa borealis. Lindera erythrocarpa and Lindera obtusiloba 2. In the forest floor cover species of Mt. Sogri forest, higher importance value were observed as Sasa borealis and Acer pseudo-sieboldianum var. koreanum 3. Within the floor cover species under Stewartia koreana forest, higher importance value were observed as Sasa borealis. Acer pseudo- sieboldianum var. koreanum and Calamagrostis arundinacea 4. Under shrub layer of Stewartia koreana stands, 73% of Sasa borealis and Calamagrostis arundinacea in Temple Huibang and 93% of Sasa borealis in Mt. Sogri were counted respectively as dominant species. Therefore, it might be necessary to control such dominant undergrowing species for natural reproduction of Stewartia koreana 5. In the Temple Huibang sites, by 700m Sasa borealis and 800m Calamagrostis arundinacea were grown as dominant species.

  • This study was carried out to analyze forest vegetation of Gabhasan and Woosanbong in Daejeon, Employing the releve method of TWINSPAN, 62 plots were sampled from June 2001 to September 2001. Field survey carried out to examine importance value, to do diameter of breast height(DBH) measurement, and to analyze the Ordination. The Forest vegetation was classified into four communities: Quercus mongolica community, Pinus densiflora community, Quercus variabilis community, Quercus acutissima community. The importance value of Pinus densiflora, Quercus variabilis, Quercus mongolica, Quercus serrata and Styrax japonica were high. According to DBH analysis, Pinus densiflora and Quercus variabilis dominate currently, however, importance value of Quercus mongolica, Quercus serrata, Prunus sargentii would increase in the future. The result of ordination analysis, showed that Quercus mongolica community was located in high altitude and steep area, Pinus densiflora community was located in comparatively high altitude and medium slope area, Quercus variabilis community was located in low altitude and gentle slope area and Quercus acutissima community was located in the lowest altitude and relatively gentle slope area.
