동적 물성치를 고려한 진공 인터럽터 충격특성의 영향인자 분석 (Parameter Study of Impact Characteristics for a Vacuum Interrupter Considering Dynamic Material Properties)

  • Vacuum interrupters in order to be used in various switch-gear components such as circuit breakers, distribution switches, contactors, etc. spread the arc uniformly over the surface of the contacts. The electrodes of vacuum interrupters are made of sinter-forged Cu-Cr materials for good electrical and mechanical characteristics. Since the closing velocity is 1-2m/s and impact deformation of the electrode depends on the strain rate at that velocity, the dynamic behavior of the sinter-forged Cu-Cr is a key to investigate the impact characteristics of the electrodes. The dynamic response of the material at the high strain rate is obtained from the split Hopkinson pressure bar test using disc-type specimens. Experimental results from both quasi-static and dynamic compressive tests are Interpolated to construct the Johnson-Cook model as the constitutive relation that should be applied to simulation of the dynamic behavior of the electrodes. The impact characteristics of a vacuum interrupter are investigated with computer simulations by changing the value of five parameters such as the initial velocity of a movable electrode, the added mass of a movable electrode, the wipe spring constant, initial offset of a wipe spring and the virtual fixed spring constant.

  • KSTAR 토카막용 진공용기는 토러스형으로써 내부에 사람이 들어가 작업할 수 있 는 큰 종단면을 갖고 있다. 이 용기는 불순물이 적은 깨끗한 플라즈마 발생을 위해 기저압 력이 초고진공이어야 하며 각종 플라즈마 대향부품을 포함해서 용기전체를 $350^{\circ}C$까지 베이 킹하는 것으로 계획되어 있다. 진공용기의 형태가 삼차원적으로 복잡하고 토카막 가동중 용 기에 걸리는 다양한 임을 해소하기 위해 지지구조물이 설치되어 있으며 균일한 온도분포를 만들기 어려워서 베이킹시 큰 열응력이 발생할 것으로 예상된다. 이 논문에서는 진공용기의 불균일한 온도분포를 만들기 어려워서 베이킹시 큰 열응력이 발생할 것으로 예상된다. 이 논문에서는 진공용기의 불균일한 온도분포와 지지구조의 구속조건에 따라 열응력이 어떻게 변하는가를 살펴보고 가능한 해결책을 제시하려고 한다.

  • Oil in water microemulsion containing soybean oil and egg phosphatide was prepared by vacuum high shear mixing and high pressure homogenizing. The laser particle sizer, Coulter counter and photomicroscope were used to determine the particle size distribution at each cycle of homogenizing. Particularly, the laser particle sizer(dynamic light scattering method) was applied to the study of particle size distribution behavior below $1\;{\mu}m$. It was found that the particle size distribution below $1\;{\mu}m$ was shifted to lower size range as the number of passing cycle was increased. Beyond the 7th cycle, however, the particle size distribution was not varied.

  • In this paper, we present the results of our studies on optimal die design towards development of a vacuum die casting process to fabricate fuel cell bipolar plate with micro-channel array. Cavity and overflow shape is designed by computational filling analysis of MAGMA soft. Optimal die design consists of seven overflows at the end of cavity and three overflows at each side wall of cavity. The molten metal that passed the gate and reached the side wall flowed into the side overflow, no turbulent flow occurred, and the filling behavior and velocity distribution were uniform. In addition, partially solidified molten metal passing through the channel was perfectly eliminated by overflow without back-flow. When vacuum pressure, injection speed of low and high region was 300 mbar, 0.3 m/s and 2.5 m/s respectively with Silafont 36 die casting alloy, sound sample without casting defects was obtained. The experimental results are nearly consistent with simulation results.

The electrodes of a vacuum interrupter are manufactured of sinter-forged Cu-Cr material for good electrical and mechanical characteristics. Since the closing velocity is 1-2m/s and impact deformation of the electrode depends on the strain-rate at the given velocity, the dynamic material property of the sinter-forged Cu-Cr alloy is important to design the vacuum interrupter reliably and to identify the impact characteristics of a vacuum interrupter accurately. This paper is concerned with the dynamic material properties of sinter-forged Cu-Cr alloy for various strain rates. The amount of chrome is varied from 10 wt% to 30 wt% in order to investigate the influence of the chrome content on the dynamic material property. The high speed tensile test machine is utilized in order to identify the dynamic property of the Cu-Cr alloy at the intermediate strain-rate and the split Hopkinson pressure bar is used at the high strain-rate. Experimental results from both the quasi-static and the high strain-rate up to the 5000/sec are interpolated with respect to the amount of chrome in order to construct the Johnson-Cook and the modified Johnson-Cook model as the constitutive relation that should be applied to numerical simulation of the impact behavior of electrodes.

  • 준 2차원 수치적 모델을 사용하여 침-평판(point-plane)형의 전극 사이에 있는 중간 압력 질소의 방전에 대한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 이 모델에서는 전자와 이온에 대한 연속방정식을 풀어 시. 공간적으로 변하는 전하분포를 계산하고, 공간 전하 분포의 변화에 따라 결정되는 전기장은 푸아송 방정식을 풀어 얻는다. 연속 방정식은 FCT (Flux-corrected transport) 알고리즘과 FEM (Finite Element Method) 방법을 적용하여 수치적으로 다루어 졌다. 50Torr 압력에서의 질소 방전에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과는 중간 압력 질소 방전의 물리적 특성에 관한 상세한 이해를 제공한다. 또 계산 결과와 실험 결과[1]와의 비교는 정성적으로 잘 일치하는 것을 보여 준다.

  • In this study, the function of a hydraulic brake system with a vacuum booster is systematically analyzed according to the mutual relations which follow : - the brake pedal force vs. booster cylinder input force - the booster output force vs. master cylinder input force - the hydraulic line pressure vs. braking deceleration. A computer program is developed based on the theory which is able to predict and analyze the pedal force characteristics at the beginning of the initial stage of brake system design. Analytical results show good agreement with the experimental vehicle test.

  • The axial distributions of plasma density in a helical resonator plasma with the external magnetic field have been measured using Langmuir probes. Net RF power is set to 200W and chamber pressure is varied from 0.4 mTorr to 100mTorr there are three kinds of eternal magnetic field structure applied on the helical resonator plasma. One is a uniform magnetic field, the second is a positive gradient magnetic field and the third is a negative gradient magnetic field. In the three magnetic field structures, the negative gradient magnetic field is found to show the highest increase in plasma density on the substrate compared with other magnetic structures. Plasma density profile in helical resonator is well consistent with electromagnetic field pattern obtained by computer simulation. It is also found that axial magnetic fields do not affect plasma density distribution in the plasma reactor region, but induce the increase of plasma density in the process chamber region. In order to avoid the nonuniformity of radial density profile, weak magnetic fields under 100G are applied.

  • Many studies have been investigated on high density plasma source (Electron Cyclotron Resonance, Inductively Coupled Plasma, Helicon plasma) for large area source after It is announced that productivity of plasma process depends on plasma density. In this presentation, we will propose the new concept of the multiple source, which consists of a parallel connection of ICP sources and helicon plasma sources. For plasma uniformity, equivalent power (especially, equivalent current in ICP & Helicon) should distribute on each source. We design power feeding line as coaxial transmission line with same length of ground line in each source for equivalent power distribution. And we confirm the equivalent power distribution with simulation and experimental result. Based on basic study, we develop the plasma source for oxidation in semiconductor process. we will discuss the relationship between the processing parameters (With or WithOut magnet, operating pressure, input power ). In ICP, plasma density uniformity is uniform. In ICP with magnet (or Helicon) plasma density is not uniform. As a result, new design (magnet arrangement and gas distributor and etc..) are needed for uniform plasma density in ICP with magnet and Helicon.

저압 침탄에 의한 Ti-6Al-4V 합금의 표면 특성 개선 (Improvement of Surface Properties of Ti-6A1-4V Alloy by Low Pressure Carburizing)

  • For improvement of the wear performance of Ti alloy, vacuum-carburizing technique was tried for the first time using propane atmosphere. During the low pressure carburizing carbide was formed at the surface and carbon transfer was occurred from the carbide to the matrix. It was found that: (i) surface hardness increased with the reduction of operating pressure and time; (ii) optimum hardness distribution could be obtained with the proper choice of temperature and carbon flux control; and, (iii) case depth was largely influenced not by time but by temperature. The two steps process was recommended for obtaining thick case depth and high surface hardness of Ti alloy. For the low oxygen partial pressure, it was necessary to introduce additional CO gas to the atmosphere.Grain boundary oxidation and non-uniformity could be prevented.
