  • Photovoltaic(PV) power generation system [1-2] has been extensively studied and watched with keen interest as a clean and renewable power source. So hardware and software studies strongly indicate the feasibility of commercially producing a low cost, user-friendly solar cell curve tracer. Generally, V-I curve tracer indicates only the commonly used solar cell parameters. However, with the conventional V-I curve tracer it is almost impossible to abstract the more detail parameters of solar cell ; A, Rs, and Rsh, which satisfies the user, who aims at the analysis of the development PV power generation system; advanced simulation.   • This work has been directed at studying and developing a prototype Computer Aided Design(CAD) tool to be used for planning tendon paths in hand reconstructive surgery. The application of CAD to rehabilitative surgery of the hand is a new field of endeavor. There are currently no existing systems designed to assist the orthopedic surgeon in planning these complex peocedures. Additionally, orthopedic surgeons are not trained in mechanics, kinematics, math modeling, or the use of computers. It was also our intent to study the mechanisms and the efficacy of the application of CAD techniques to this important aspect of hand surgery. The following advances are reported here: Interactive 3D tendon path definition tools., Software to calculate tendon excursion from an arbitrary tendon path crossing any number of joints., A model to interactively compute and display the foirces in muscle and tendon., A workstation environment to help surgeons evaluate the consequences of a simulated tendon transfer operation when a tendon is lengthened, rerouted, or reattached in a mew location., It also has been one of the primary concerns in this work that an interactive graphical surgical workstation must present a natural, user-friendly environment to the orthopedic durgeon user. The surgical workstation must ultimately aid the surgeon in helping his patient or in doing his work more efficiently or more reliably.

  • 인터넷 기술의 급격한 발전으로 지리정보시스템의 실행 환경 분야에서 개발 방법론의 변화가 일어나고 있으며, 사용자의 요구사항 다변화로 시스템의 통합과 컴포넌트 전략이 연구되어 왔다. 웹의 발달로 과거 일부 전문가만이 공유하던 공간정보를 조회하고 검색할 수 있는 새로운 개발 방법론과 기술개발이 절실히 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 웹 환경 하에서 공간 데이터 컴포넌트 모델링을 통하여 사용자의 요구사항을 최적화하기 위한 컴포넌트 설계기법과 개발 방안을 제시한다. 제안 기법과 프로세스는 실무적인 개발기법과 과정에 적용한 후 소프트웨어 개발과정을 단축하고, 개발비용을 절감 할 수 있는 개선효과를 평가한다.

  • A Robot Performance Evaluation System(RPES) with the laser tracker Leica LTD 500 was developed according to the ISO 9283 robot performance criteria. The developed system is set up a test robot to continuously move the prescribed cyclic trajectories without a human intervention and the laser tracker to simultaneously measure the robot's movement. And then, the system automatically extracts the required data from the tremendous measured data, and computes the various performance criteria which represents the present state of the test robot's performance. This paper explains how ISO 9283 robot performance criteria was used for the developed system, and suggests a automatic data extraction algorithm from the mass of measured data. And also, a user-friendly Robot Performance Evaluation System(RPES) Software was developed with Visual Basic satisfying the need of Hyundai Motor Company. The developed system was implemented on NACHI 8608 AM 11 robot. The resulted output shows the effectiveness of the developed system.

RBI 절차의 석유화학 플랜트 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Implementation of Risk Based Inspection Procedures to a Petrochemical Plant)

  • During the last ten years, the need has been increased for reducing maintenance cost for aged equipments and ensuring safety, efficiency and profitability of petrochemical and refinery plants. RBI (Risk Based Inspection) methodology is one of the most promising technologies satisfying the need in the field of integrity management. In this study, a user-friendly software, realRBl for RBI based on the API 581 code was developed. This software has modules for evaluating qualitative and semi-quantitative risk level, analyzing quantitative risks using the potential consequences of a failure of the pressure boundary, and assessing the likelihood of failure. A quantitative analysis was performed for 16 columns in a domestic NCC (Naphtha Cracking Center) plant whose operating time reaches about 12 years. Each column was considered as two equipment parts by dividing into top and bottom. Generic column failure frequencies were adjusted based on likelihood data. After determining release rate, release duration and release mass for each failure scenario, flammable/explosive and toxic consequences were assessed. Current risks for 32 equipment parts were evaluated and risk based prioritization were determined as a final result.

  • Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) is an optimization technique considering simultaneously multiple disciplines such as dynamics, mechanics, structural analysis, thermal and fluid analysis and electromagnetic analysis. A software system enabling multidisciplinary design optimization is called MDO framework. An MDO framework provides an integrated and automated design environment that increases product quality and reliability, and decreases design cycle time and cost. The MDO framework also works as a common collaborative workspace for design experts on multiple disciplines. In this paper, we present the architecture for an MDO framework along with the requirement analysis for the framework. The requirement analysis has been performed through interviews of design experts in industry and thus we claim that it reflects the real needs in industry. The requirements include integrated design environment, friendly user interface, highly extensible open architecture, distributed design environment, application program interface, and efficient data management to handle massive design data. The resultant MDO framework is datasever-oriented and designed around a centralized data server for extensible and effective data exchange in a distributed design environment among multiple design tools and software.

  • 본 논문은 토목 공사 현장에서의 효율적인 다짐관리를 위하여 RTK GPS측량에 의한 다짐관리 시스템의 개발에 관한 것이다. 실시간 GPS측량방법은 현장에서 실시간으로 측량사의 위치를 그래픽 화면에 출력하여 정확한 위치를 결정할 수 있는 방법으로 본 연구에서는 로울러상에 실시간 GPS시스템을 장착하고 개발된 소프트웨어 (GPSROLL v.1.0)로써 산출한 다짐횟수나 컴퓨터 화면에 출력된 로울러의 이동궤적을 파악하여 다짐관리의 효율성을 높이고자 하였다. 또한 다짐현장에서 필요한 토질실험 데이터 처리용 프로그램과 측량계산 프로그램을 개발하여 현장관리의 효율화를 제고하였으며, 한글 GUI를 이용하여 사용자가 편리하게 이용 가능토록 데이터 입력화면 및 출력화면을 구현하였다.

CGHscape: A Software Framework for the Detection and Visualization of Copy Number Alterations

  • The robust identification and comprehensive profiling of copy number alterations (CNAs) is highly challenging. The amount of data obtained from high-throughput technologies such as array-based comparative genomic hybridization is often too large and it is required to develop a comprehensive and versatile tool for the detection and visualization of CNAs in a genome-wide scale. With this respective, we introduce a software framework, CGHscape that was originally developed to explore the CNAs for the study of copy number variation (CNV) or tumor biology. As a standalone program, CGHscape can be easily installed and run in Microsoft Windows platform. With a user-friendly interface, CGHscape provides a method for data smoothing to cope with the intrinsic noise of array data and CNA detection based on SW-ARRAY algorithm. The analysis results can be demonstrated as log2 plots for individual chromosomes or genomic distribution of identified CNAs. With extended applicability, CGHscape can be used for the initial screening and visualization of CNAs facilitating the cataloguing and characterizing chromosomal alterations of a cohort of samples.

  • Window환경 하에서 사용이 간편하면서도 다양한 통계량을 제공하는 비선형회귀분석을 위 한 통계소프트웨어 NLIN2000을 소개한다. 기존의 DOS용 프로그램을 업그레이드한 것으로 다른 통계 팩키지들에 비하여 모형식의 설정 및 적합과정이 간편하고, 모형식 저장 및 삭제, 모형식 형태 보기 등의 기능을 제공한다. NLIN2000은 비선형회귀분석에 대한 통계적 이론을 연구하는 통계전공자들에게 필수적인 각종 통계량을 제공해줄 뿐만 아니라, 실제 현장에서 비선형모형을 사용하여 분석하는 다른 학문분야의 연구자들에게도 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

Location Based Routing Service In Distributed Web Environment

  • Location based services based on positions of moving objects are expanding the business area gradually. The location is included all estimate position of the future as well as the position of the present and the past. Location based routing service is active business application in which the position information of moving objects is applied efficiently. This service includes the trajectory of past positions, the real-time tracing of present position of special moving objects, and the shortest and optimized paths combined with map information. In this paper, we describes the location based routing services is extend in distributed web GIS environment. Web GIS service systems provide the various GIS services of analyzing and displaying the spatial data with friendly user - interface. That is, we propose the efficient architecture and technologies for servicing the location based routing services in distributed web GIS environment. The position of moving objects is acquired by GPS (Global Positioning System) and converted the coordinate of real world by map matching with geometric information. We suppose the swapping method between main memory and storages to access the quite a number of moving objects. And, the result of location based routing services is wrapped the web-styled data format. We design the schema based on the GML. We design these services as components were developed in object-oriented computing environment, and provide the interoperability, language-independent, easy developing environment as well as re - usability.
