A Study on the Order of Healing Environment Elements of Nursing Homes by Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs (매스로우의 욕구단계이론에 의거한 노인요양시설 치유환경소의 위계에 관한 연구)

  • Healing Environment is to cure the user as a whole by considering his social, psychological aspect, beyond the functional aspect of treatment. Various design elements of healing space have been developed so far, but they were mostly described with same rank. Even though every element is significant, facilities such as nursing homes tends to run with low budget, and they can't fulfill them all at the same time. It is important to find the sequence between design elements. The purpose of this study is to reorganize the design principles of healing environment by Maslow's hierarchy of needs(Physiological needs, Safety needs, Love/Affilitation needs, Self-Esteem needs and Self-Actualization needs), and analyze elderly nursing homes and examine the framework itself by application. Research method was consist of literature review on healing space design elements and hierarchy of needs, reconstruction of design elements with hierarchy, and application on 5 Korean nursing home cases. As the result, Maslow's hierarchy of needs and design elements were linked with good balance. Analysis of 5 nursing homes revealed that lower needs were short of environmental support compared to higher needs. Especially design elements related to Physiological needs should be improved. Also, new framework had strength in not only providing gasps on current situation in detail, but also suggesting elements for improvement with hierarchy and sequence. Through this research healing environment design elements and human needs were linked. Nursing home is the last environment for the elderly, which should help to heal their body and mind and also support them to accomplish self-actualization.

  • Smartphone is popularized, it is a lot of development of the mobile advertising industry, is born many types of mobile advertising. Many developers in the mobile game is the advertised profitable by using the SDK of service companies that service the advertising the launch of free games. Mobile IGA banner, front advertising, we use the ad in the three forms of the front video advertising, each of advertising, have advantages and disadvantages. Although many of the games currently use a full-page ad and front video ads, these ads profitable model is use the user game play time. In order to improve the disadvantage of this method, Commonly used to analyze the three ad revenue model, looking for the element, by using the research result of the previous studies, we have proposed a new advertising Convergence profitable models.

  • In this study, the modeling support system was developed which can make easy and fast FE-modeling and verify the results of static and durability analysis for the lower arm, one of the important parts in automobile suspension module. It took into account of the whole complicated design processes verifying the durability coefficients evaluated by fatigue analysis, which should be used to satisfy a design criteria. To guide the FE-modeling the drive page was constructed by using HTML and XML, which was based on expert's know-hows. It is able to integrate the processes to design the lower arm in practice, so that the standardization of its FE-Modeling is achieved, consequently. The 3 dimensional CAD's geometrical data were changed automatically into pre-defined shell elements under the concept of mesh-offset technique, and then welding elements were treated to connect between target and basic surfaces constructed by the shell elements. This system has also a user interface to control boundary and load ing conditions applied in performing of the static and durability analysis, in which many load cases can be applied simply with the MPCs driven by just few mouse clicks. These were implemented on the platform of MSC.Patran and utilized ANSYS, MSC.Nastran and MSC.Fatigue as the solver of the analysis performed. The developed system brings not only significant decreasing of man-hours required in FE-modeling process, but also obtaining of satisfied qualities in analyzed results. It will be integrated in a part of virtual prototyping module of the developing e-engineering framework.

  • Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis as a representative method of nuclear analytical technique, has advantages of non-destructive, simultaneous multi-element analysis with the characteristics of absolute measurement method. Up to date, $k_0$-quantitative method which is accurate, convenient and user-friendly, has been generalized world-widely. In this study, it is intented to introduce the general concept of $k_0$-method and to measure $k_0$-parameters for the future implementation to our NAA system. For this objectives, the definition of relevant factors for the quantitative analysis and the equation for the experimental determination of parameters such as $Q_0$(${\alpha}$) and f were summarized. Furthermore, a foundation for the $k_0$-standardization method was prepared through the measurement of ${\alpha}$ and f-value which depend on the specific character of irradiation hole at NAA#1-hole of HANARO research reactor.

  • Bicycle shares road with various traffic elements like car, pedestrian and, the number of bicycle user is increasing in recent. Therefore, bicycle accident continuously increases. Especially in complex traffic environment, bicycle accident which collides with moving object such as pedestrian occupies many parts of bicycle accident in the reason that the cyclist does not recognize moving object. In this paper, to reduce or avoid the bicycle accident, we propose the architecture of bicycle collision avoidance system in which that cyclist can get the information about moving object by connecting bicycle to network of vehicles and does some action for avoiding collision. In our architecture, when traffic element such as car recognizes moving object, it decides the moving direction of object, and transfers information about moving direction via vehicles network. Bicycle collision avoidance system from our proposed architecture receives this information, and alerts to cyclist when the moving object influences the safety of bicycle.

  • In a companion paper. (Oh, 2002), the constitutive model, called GUX model, was implemented as a user subroutine in ABAQUS code, where the GUX model could describe the behavior of overall strain range. An accuracy analysis verified that the implicit stress integration maintained the accuracy of solutions successfully. Since the GUX model is an anistropic hardening elasto-plastic constitutive model based on total stress concept, geotechnical problems under fully drained or undrained condition can be analyzed after acquisition of stress-strain relationships from drained or undrained triaxial tests. This study includes the analyses of the stability of embankments on soft clays and weathered soils and the example of axially loaded soil-pile system. In the large deformation analyses, geometric nonlinearity was considered and the result of analyses with GUX model was compared with that of Mises model for the overall strain range behavior.

  • Web-based health information provides a lot of conveniences, however the security vulnerabilities that appear in the network environment without the risk of exposure in the use of information are growing. Web-based medical information security issues when accessing only the technology advances, without attempting to seek a safe methodology are to increase the threat element. So it is required. to take advantage of web-based information security measures as a web-based access control security mechanism-based design. This paper is based on software architecture, design, ideas and health information systems were designed based on access control security mechanism. The methodologies are to derive a new design procedure, to design architecture and algorithms that make the mechanism functio n. To accomplish this goal, web-based access control for multiple patient information architecture infrastructures is needed. For this software framework to derive features that make the mechanism was derived based on the structure. The proposed system utilizes medical information, medical information when designing an application user retrieves data in real time, while ensuring integration of encrypted information under the access control algorithms, ensuring the safety management system design.

  • It is said that today is an era of total cord characterized by the transition from the industrial society to the knowledge based and information one. In this age of total cord, the most complex media production is the game industry. In the game industry, game character as one of the elements of game production is the most important because it contains visual elements created through interaction with a user. Initial creation of characters in the game industry is considered having the most value-adding element. Character creation in game production begins with basic drawings, like a diffusive property of the production elements, and proceeds to complicated 2D game character illustration and 3D game character production. In addition, only when driving forces for game development such as individuality and virtual reality are based on different mind cord from existing one, foundation for it will be firmly established. Therefore, it is clear that understanding of the Importance of character illustration and original drawings in the game production is essential to successfully produce more perfect 3D game characters.

  • XML(eXtensible Markup Language) has emerged as a prevalent standard for document representation and exchange on the Internet. XML documents contain information of different sensitivity degrees, so that XML Document must selectively shared by user communities. There is thus the need for models and mechanisms enabling the specification and enforcement of access control policies for XML documents. Mechanisms are also required enabling a secure and selective dissemination of documents to users, according to the authorizations which the users have. In this paper, we give an account of access control model and mechanisms, which XML documents can be securely protected in web environments. We make RBAC Based access Control polices to the problem of secure and selective access of XML documents. The proposed model and mechanism guarantee that the secure use for XML documents through definition of authority for element, attribute, link within XML document as well as XML document.

  • Recently, an increasing in quantity of multimedia data have brought a new problem that expected data should be retrieved fast and exactly. The adequate representation for the multimedia data is the key element for efficient retrieval. For this reason, MPEG-7 standard was established for description of multimedia data. In this paper, we propose a new approach to metadata production. The user can decompose a given content into units and easily annotate each unit by adding basic Information such as time, place, etc. as well as classification information such as event, relationship, etc. according to the MPEG-7 standard. The objective is to build automatically a pure semantic description; the nodes are the events and the links are the graphs which describe the relationships among the events. Finally, we have implemented an annotation tool(SMAT) for semantic description based on proposed technique and assess some of the experiment results. In conclusion, we ran say that the proposod annotation tool is characterized by two important proprieties : reusability and extendibility.
