Alternating Offers Bargaining Game and Wardrop's User Equilibrium (Nash의 협상게임과 Wardrop의 사용자 균형)

  • This paper presents a relationship between Nash bargaining game and Wardrop user equilibrium, which has been widely used in transportation modeling for route choice problem. Wardrop user equilibrium assumes that drivers in road network have perfect information on the traffic conditions and they choose their optimal paths without cooperation each other. In this regards, if the bargaining game process is introduced in route choice modeling, we may avoid the strong assumptions to some extent. For such purpose, this paper derives a theorem that Nash bargaining solution is equivalent to Wardrop user equilibrium as the barging process continues and prove it with some numerical examples. The model is formulated based on two-person bargaining game. and n-person game is remained for next work.

Analyzing the Online Game User's Game Item Transacting Behaviors by Using Fuzzy Logic Agent-Based Modeling Simulation (온라인 게임 사용자의 게임 아이템 거래 행동 특성 분석을 위한 퍼지논리 에이전트 기반 모델링 시뮬레이션)

  • This study aims to analyze online game user's game items transacting behaviors for the two game genres such as MMORPG and sports game. For the sake of conducting the analysis, we adopted a fuzzy logic agent-based modeling. In the online game fields, game items transactions are crucial to game company's profitability. However, there are lack of previous studies investigating the online game user's game items transacting activities. Since many factors need to be addressed in a complicated way, ABM (agent-based modeling) simulation mechanism is adopted. Besides, a fuzzy logic is also considered due to the fact that a number of uncertainties and ambiguities exist with respect to online game user's complex behaviors in transacting game items. Simulation results from applying the fuzzy logic ABM method revealed that MMORPG game users are motivated to pay expensive price for high-performance game items, while sports game users tend to transact game items within a reasonable price range. We could conclude that the proposed fuzzy logic ABM simulation mechanism proved to be very useful in organizing an effective strategy for online game items management and customers retention.

Exploring the Influence of the Internet Shopping Mall's Quality Factors on User Trust and Acceptance (인터넷 쇼핑몰이 갖는 품질요인이 사용자 신뢰와 수용에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • As the electronic commerce has grown dramatically, visiting the Internet shopping malls is accepted as one of our daily life. Despite many studies about user acceptance of the Internet shopping malls, it still remains unanswered how the Internet shopping mall's three quality factors such as system qualify, Information qualify, and service quality affect user trust, and eventually user acceptance of the mall. To investigate this issue, we propose a research model in which six external factors such as three qualify factors as well as self-efficacy, subjective norm, and trust have a significant impact on user's attitude and intention to use the mall. After garnering 244 valid questionnaires from users, we analyze them with structural equation modeling. Experiment results show that the Internet shopping mall's three quality factors such as system quality, information qualify, and service quality significantly Influence user trust for the mall, which in turn impacts user's perceived usefulness, attitude toward using the mall. Another external factors such as self-efficacy and subjective norm also influence user's perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness respectively, affecting user's attitude altogether. Implications and further research directions are presented.

  • 사용자-제품 간의 인터랙션 환경의 변화로 인해 사용자 행태 정보의 특성을 체계적으로 분석하기 위한 많은 연구가 진행 되고 있으며, 사용자 행태 연구의 접근 가능성 보다는 행태 정보를 UI 디자인 과정에 어떻게 적용할 것인지에 대한 연구가 더욱 중요해 지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미래 제품 개발 환경에서 효율적인 UI디자인을 위하여 사용자의 실 생활에서 수집된 사용자 행태 정보를 UI 디자인 설계 과정에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 모델링 방법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 사용자 행태 정보가 갖고 있는 단계별 구조의 특성을 정의하고, 행태 정보의 구조 분석을 통해 미래 제품 개발 환경에서 제품 사용 단계별 적용 가능한UI 고려 요소 및 UI 해결 방안의 도출 과정을 가시화 시켜 주기 위한 UI 모델링 방법을 제안하였다. 사례 연구로 현재 현관문에서 발생하는 사용자 행태 정보에 UI 모델링을 적용하여 미래 환경에서 제공 가능한 GATE System의 UI 고려 요소 및 UI 해결 방안을 추출하여 적용 가능성을 제시하였다.

Exchange of CAD Models Using Macro Parametric Approach (매크로 파라메트릭 방법론은 이용한 CAD 모델의 교환)

  • It is not possible to exchange parametric information of CAD (Computer Aided Design) models based on the current version of STEP (Standard leer the Exchange of Product model data). The design intent can be lost during the STEP transfer of CAD models. The ISO Parametrics Group has proposed the SMCH (Solid Model Construction History) schema in June 2000 that includes structures fur exchange of parametric information. This paper proposes the macro parametric approach that is intended to provide capabilities to transfer parametric information. In this approach, CAD models are exchanged in the form of macro files. The macro file contains user commands which are used in the modeling phase. To exchange CAD models using the macro parametric approach, modeling commands of commercial CAD systems are analyzed. Those commands are classified by the grouping method suggested by Bill Anderson. As a neutral file format, a standard modeling commands set has been defined. Mapping relations between the standard modeling commands set and the native modeling commands set of commercial CAD systems are defined.

  • A computer-aided simulation modeling system has been developed to allow the automatic construction of complete discrete simulation models for queueing systems. Three types of knowledge are used in the specification and construction of a simulation modeling: Knowledge of queueing system, simulation modeling, and a target simulation language. This knowledge has been incorporated into the underlying rule base in the form of extraction and construction rule, and implemented via the expert system building tool, OPS5. This paper suggested a knowledge based approach for automatic programming to enable a user who lacks modeling knowledge and simulation language expertize to quickly build executable models.

  • In many literatures of model management, various schemes for representing model base schema have proposed. Ultimately, the goal is to arrive at a set of mutually supportive and synergistic methodologies and tools for the modeling problem domain and model base design. This paper focus on how best to structure and represent conceptual model of problem domain and schema of model base. Semantic concepts and modeling constructs are valuable conceptual tools for understanding the structural relationships and constraints involved in an model management environment. To this end, we reviewed the model management literature, and analyzed the constructs of modeling tools of data model management graph-based approach. Although they have good tools but most of them are not enough for the representation of structural relationships and constraints. So we wanted more powerful tools which can represent diverse constructs in a decision support modeling and model base schema design. For the design of a model base, we developed object modeling framework which uses Object Modeling Techniques (OMT). In Object Modeling Framework, model base schema are classified into conceptual schema, logical schema, and physical schema. The conceptual schema represents the user's view of problem domain, and the logical schema represents a model formatted by a particular modeling language. The schema design, this paper proposes an extension of Object Model to overcome some of the limitations exhibited by the OMT. The proposed tool, Extended Object Model(EOM) have diverse constructs for the representation of decision support problem domain and conceptual model base schema.

  • A field of spoken dialog systems is a rapidly growing research area because the performance improvement of speech technologies motivates the possibility of building systems that a human can easily operate in order to access useful information via spoken languages. Among the components in a spoken dialog system, the dialog management plays major roles such as discourse analysis, database access, error handling, and system action prediction. This survey covers design issues and recent approaches to the dialog management techniques for modeling the dialogs. We also explain the user simulation techniques for automatic evaluation of spoken dialog systems.

  • Tangible user interfaces have attracted strong attention in the HCI(Human and Computer Interface) community for their ability to take advantage of skills humans develop in the real world. We are developing "tangible media aided design system" which employs physical objects i.e., brick as interfacing media for 3D graphic modeling. This system is targeting for persons who are afraid of experiencing 3D graphic modeling and virtual space, or have a sense of reluctance in approaching to them. Our approach suggests the easiest way for people to experience computer system and virtual space carefree while developing and improving their space sense. This work is one of initial explorations of media aided design system using tangible user interfaces.

  • Dweller's safety is one of the most important factors for the evaluation of building performance. The process of conventional safety design which is normally performed by the codes and designer's experiences is not enough to check the whole possibilities of unexpected accidents in the built environment. It means that the dwellers might be always exposed by the dangerous situation which should have been removed in the architectural design process. In order to solve this problem, this study intends to introduce a rule-based performance evaluation technology based on BIM(Building Information Modeling). The proposed technology focuses on the real time evaluation of dweller's safety in the ordinary life in the designed building alternatives and uses a commercial BIM tool as a design and evaluation platform.
