  • In this paper, air gap flux density is calculated by permeance model which can consider the effects of the stator slot and the salient pole shape of the salient synchronous generator. No load Electro-motive force(EMF) of the short-pitched and distributed stator winding is also calculated. Therefore, it's very convenient to calculate the THD of the no load EMF for the user's request, in the first design state.

  • Molecular visualization software has the common objective of manipulation and interpretation of data from numerical simulations. They visualize many complicated molecular structures with personal computer and workstation, to help analyze a large quantity of data produced by various computational methods. However, users are often discouraged from using these tools for visualization and analysis due to the difficult and complicated user interface. In this regard, we have developed an easy-to-use three-dimensional molecular visualization and analysis program named POSMOL. This has been developed on the Microsoft Windows platform for the easy and convenient user environment, as a compact program which reads outputs from various computational chemistry software without editing or changing data. The program animates vibration modes which are needed for locating minima and transition states in computational chemistry, draws two and three dimensional (2D and 3D) views of molecular orbitals (including their atomic orbital components and these partial sums) together with molecular systems, measures various geometrical parameters, and edits molecules and molecular structures.

3차원 환경 복원을 위한 다중 키넥트의 마커리스 캘리브레이션 (Marker-less Calibration of Multiple Kinect Devices for 3D Environment Reconstruction)

  • Reconstruction of the three-dimensional (3D) environment is a key aspect of augmented reality and augmented virtuality, which utilize and incorporate a user's surroundings. Such reconstruction can be easily realized by employing a Kinect device. However, multiple Kinect devices are required for enhancing the reconstruction density and for spatial expansion. While employing multiple Kinect devices, they must be calibrated with respect to each other in advance, and a marker is often used for this purpose. However, a marker needs to be placed at each calibration, and the result of marker detection significantly affects the calibration accuracy. Therefore, a user-friendly, efficient, accurate, and marker-less method for calibrating multiple Kinect devices is proposed in this study. The proposed method includes a joint tracking algorithm for approximate calibration, and the obtained result is further refined by applying the iterative closest point algorithm. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method is a convenient alternative to conventional marker-based methods for calibrating multiple Kinect devices. Hence, the proposed method can be incorporated in various applications of augmented reality and augmented virtuality that require 3D environment reconstruction by employing multiple Kinect devices.

공간효율 개선을 위한 폐가식 도서관 운용 -지역 대학도서관 시설을 중심으로- (Library Space Efficiency Improvement Through Closed Access System -Focused on Academic Libraries-)

  • Since the users have direct access to search and browse freely, the open access system has been employed to all the usual modern libraries. However, library space shortage problem created by the continuously increasing printed materials caused the degradation of usability and quality of the library space. Open Access system is superior in user convenience but is inferior in space efficiency. Keeping the open access system is considered as one of the reasons of the space shortage problem. Even though the closed access system does not provide free access or easy browsing for the uses, it's space efficiency is much higher than the open access system. The closed access system should be employed as a plan to relieve space shortage problem. Since the closed access system does not allow the public direct access to books, it is very economical. It also provides much better space efficiency with higher book shelving density. In this article, closed access library system models and their characteristics are examined as the reduction plans for the library space shortage problems.

  • 본 논문은 GIS를 사용하여 1998년도 전국의 벼 병해충을 분석하고, 처리된 자료를 인터넷을 통해 정보를 공유 및 분석하는 인터넷 GIS 시스템의 개발에 관한 것이다. 인터넷 GIS는 컴퓨터 네트워크의 광범위한 활용성에 의해 인터넷 환경에서 GIS의 기능을 구현하는 시스템으로서, 본 연구에서는 대화식 인터페이스로 구성된 인터넷 GIS를 개발함으로써 클라이언트들이 기존의 정적인 지도와 양적인 통계 값의 벼 병해충 자료대신에 인터넷상에서 시각적이고 동적인 정보를 제공받을 수 있는 효율적인 방안을 제시하였다.

  • Today there are increasing number of internet users. Internet is wide use of banking, shopping, school and studding. Also, internet is used in everyday living and its use is getting larger. Korea has the one of the most use of internet in the world. Most of houses have computer with internet, and there are alot of PC rooms in the streets. anyone can enjoy the internet anytime anywhere. Now, in internet there are group formed by community purpose. The 'dot com' companies was not making much of profit from their goods. However, they came out with an idea "avata" Soon, the avata became a hit and its known for its success. Avata is used for E-mail, name card, post stamp, and chatting. Also, Avata is very popular among chatting service, icon chatting, and 3D graphic chatting. Avata represent the user himself in internet and computer created imaginary space, and it connects between imaginary space and reality, also it exist between real name and nick name. Past years, the internet users were satisfied with their nick name, however resent year users wants to express them more. For the result the "Avata" is created to fulfill the need to express user themselves. There are three different ways to see how Korean react to fashion industry. first, Korea's land structure makes the density of population high, the transmission of information is very fast. Next, collectively is high among Koreans. Finally wide use to internet made the transmission of the fashion information much faster. The User wants to keep up with the fashion at the sametime they want to express themselves, and "avata" is the one that fulfill their needs. New technology and the desire to express themselves made the new term "avata industry". which was never existed before. In addition, the internet markets have potential power. Although, it is in start stage of avata industry. However, the experts say that its possibility of its development is not predictable. In conclusion, watch the development of a situation to analyze the avata industry and develop new avata fashion market.

  • 내장산국립공원 내장사지구의 이용객심리행태 및 환경에 대한 이용객영향을 조사하기 위해서 3개의 주요피크닉지역에서 설문조사와 순간밀도조사를, 주요통과지점에서 출입객 수 조사를 하였으며 환경영향은 실측조사를 하였다. 총탐방객 수는 1984년부터 100만명/연 수준으로 안정을 보이고 있었다. 환경영향은 등산로와 케이블카 종점부근, 전망대와 금선계곡간 사면에서 매우 심하였다. 봄철 피크시에는 약 5,000명, 가을 단풍철 피크시에는 약 53,000 명이 동시에 체류하는 것으로 추정되었다. 총입장객 중 약20% 가금선 및 원적계곡을 이용하였고, 나머지 80%는 잔디광장, 케이블카만 이용하고 퇴장하는 것으로 나타났다. 이용특성은 원거리형 국립공원형이었으며, 가을철 단풍구경이 주이용동기이었다. 이용면적증가에 따른 이용객의 만족도는 유의하게 차이를 나타내지 않았으며, 직각회전방법에 의한 인자분석결과, 이용객의 만족도에 크게 영향을 미치는 제1인자는 주변경관에 관한 인자로 자연파괴, 혼잡도, 소음, 주변청결상태 순으로 부하되어 있었다. 다음으로 영향을 미치는 제2인자는 시설관리인자로서 화장실 수, 쓰레기통 수, 식수량, 안전성 순으로 부하되어 있었다.

저압 시스템에서 비선형 부하의 사용에 따른 전류 고조파 해석 및 측정 (Analysis and Measurement of Current Harmonics Due to Non-linear Load in Low Voltage System)

  • The ever increasing density of adjustable speed drives(ASD) device with non-linear operating characteristics has been to put tremendous harmonic stress on end user's electrical application. All ASD controllers which employ solid state power devices cause harmonic currents in the source side line. This paper describes harmonic problems for use of ASD. In order to investigate the effect of harmonics caused by using of nonlinear load at the low voltage system, we fixed up simple load model and measured the voltage and current waveforms. Measurement results show that additional operation of linear load at the parallel bus with nonlinear load such as ASD is helpful to the reduction of harmonic influence.

  • As electric power transmission systems grow to supply the increasing electric power demand, transmission capacity is larger. but that's really difficult to secure the location for power transmission and distribution to user. The high temperature superconducting(HTS) cable is a method to solve this problem. But for applying to real systems, it needs to investigate the effect of HTS cable. The most important things is the investigation of fault condition. the fault on HTS cable include the quench state. When a fault occur in a circuit, three critical parameters(temperature, current density, magnetic field) exist. when one of these parameters exceeds the critical value, the superconducting becomes normal-conducting. f the cooling power is insufficient to recover the superconducting state, the normal-conducting zone expands. In order to solve these problem, this paper present simulate the quench state considering the over-current and over-voltage in the informal circuit and analyze the quench state.

  • In this paper, finite element simulation of three-dimensional bulk metal forming processes is performed by an automated adaptive tetrahedral mesh generation scheme. A dynamic data exchange scheme is employed between tetrahedral mesh generator and forging simulator to minimize user intervention. Both number of elements and density distributions are controlled by the octree technique. The presented approach is applied to automatic forging simulation in order to evaluate the efficiency of the developed schemes and the simulation results are compared with $DEFORM^{TM}$.
