Since the VR market is expected to have a high growth, this study aimed to investigate the human factor-related determinants of user satisfaction with mobile VR headsets. A pre-study of customer reviews was conducted with the help of semantic network analysis to identify the core keywords for understanding negative and positive predictors of mobile VR headset experiences. Through laboratory testing with three different commercial models, the main study measured and identified the predictors of user satisfaction. From the results, five factors were extracted as valid predictor variables and used for regression analysis. These factors were immersion, VR sickness, usability, wear-ability and menu navigation interface. All the five predictors were proved to be significant determinants of the perceived user satisfaction with mobile VR headsets. Usability was the strongest predictor, followed by VR sickness and wear-ability. Practical and theoretical implications of the results were discussed.

이 연구는 가정에서 그 중요성이 증가하고 있는 통합리모콘을 좀 더 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 디자인하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 방법으로 대중성 있는 기존 제품의 UI체계를 통합리모콘의 UI체계로 적용하여 학습이 용이하고 사용성이 향상된 가정용 통합리모콘 UI디자인 대안을 개발하고 그 사용 용이성을 평가하는 연구를 진행하였다. 기존의 대중성 있는 제품으로는 UI디자인 개발 대상인 스틱형 통합리모콘과 사용방법이 유사한 휴대폰을 선정하였다. 선정한 휴대폰 UI의 공통적 특성을 도출하여 그 내용을 최대한 적용한 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘의 디자인 안을 제작하였다. 플래시로 제작한 이 디자인 대안의 프로토타입으로 2회의 파일럿 테스트를 실시하여 최종 실험연구용 프로토타입 제작과 관련된 개선내용을 추출 하였다. 그리고 물리적인 조작, 피드백 측면에서의 사용 실제감을 보완한 버튼 프로토타입을 제작하여, 20대 대학생 41명을 대상으로 개발된 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘의 새로운 UI디자인에 대한 사용성 평가를 진행하였다. 실험 결과 대중성 있는 기존 제품의 UI를 활용한 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘은 사용성 향상에 기여할 수 있는 것으로 나타났으며 이 연구내용은 향후 가정용 스틱형 통합리모콘의 새로운 UI디자인 개발 연구의 좋은 모델이 될 수 있다고 판단된다.

제품 디자인개발 과정에서 사용성과 포용성을 확보하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이를 위한 제품의 사용성과 포용성 평가방법으로 케임브리지 대학 엔지니어링 디자인 센터의 교수인 Simon Keates와 P. John Clarkson에 의해 Exclusion Calculation이 개발된 바 있다. 그러나 실제 제품의 평가에서 Exclusion Calculation의 효용성에 대한 연구가 부족하다. 이에 본 연구는 Exclusion Calculation을 사용하여 전기다리미을 평가하는 실험을 사례 연구로 진행하여 결과의 유용성, 정확성 및 평가항목의 직관성 3가지 측면에서 장단점을 평가하여 Exclusion Calculation의 효용성을 고찰하였다. 실험 연구에서, 11명의 디자이너가 Exclusion Calculation으로 제품을 평가한 후 Exclusion Calculation중 14개 평가항목의 직관성을 평가했다. 제품 평가 결과에 따라 Exclusion Calculation 평가 결과의 유용성을 판단하고, 표준편차를 이용하여 Exclusion Calculation 평가 결과의 정확성을 분석했다. 본 연구결과 첫째, Exclusion Calculation의 평가결과는 디자이너가 제품의 물리적 특징과 관련된 사용성 문제 및 문제의 보편성을 발견하도록 도울 수 있지만, 제품 사용 논리성 측면의 문제를 발견할 수는 없다. 둘째, Exclusion Calculation 평가 척도 기준이 모호하기 때문에 평가 결과의 정확성이 낮다. 평가항목은 전체적으로 평가 판단의 난이도가 낮지만, 인지능력과 관련된 평가항목은 직관성이 약하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

In designing and evaluating a new product, the company needs to give thought to the entire spectrum of produceability, usability, and ultimate reliability, as well as safety of users. For each design review(DR) stage, a formal, systematic, documented review and evaluation of a product design is conducted to assure that the product is safe and reliable, that costs and materials have been optimized, and that the design complies with its specifications and requirements. This paper presents how to improve development process for product's safety and reliability. The process requires gathering the appropriate information, determining the limits of the product, estimating risk associated with the task-hazard combinations, and reducing risk according to a prioritized procedure.

This study developed a vest prototype capable of monitoring body temperature using textile electrodes to prevent the sudden death of babies as well as to determine the quality of developed products by evaluating usability with commercial products. Based on the results of the 7th Size Korea Project, a basic pattern for a vest prototype was drafted by applying the average size of two-year-old Korean babies. Two prototypes were the detachable (VEST I) and integrated textile electrodes vest type (VEST II), which followed the same design. The materials were 100% cotton single jersey (SJ) and double jersey (DJ). Six experts evaluated the usability of the developed vests (VEST I & VEST II) and commercial product (VEST M). The single-layer woven textile electrode appeared to have a slightly higher conductivity than the double-layer one. There was no statistical difference in the body temperature sensing function between VEST I and VEST II. Finally, the superiority of the VEST I was verified through a comparison with commercial products (VEST M). The usability test suggested that a wearable smart clothing system of the integrated conductive textile could be further commercialized for bio-monitor applications in Ubiquitous-health care.

최근 전자기술의 발달과 함께 제품들이 인간의 지적 측면을 지원하는 스마트한 제품으로 변하면서 OSD는 이런 제품의 입출력을 담당하는 사용자 인터페이스의 중요한 부분으로서 본체의 외형 못지 않게 제품개발의 핵심적인 요소가 되고 있다. 특히 영상기기와 정보기기의 경우 그 중요성은 더 커진다. 이런 중요성에도 불구하고 단순히 하드웨어 본체에 탑재하는 부속물로서 취급되어 많은 검증과 평가를 통해 개발되는 하드웨어 본체에 비하여 단순하고 개별적인 사용성평가만을 통해 개발되고 있다. 즉 얼마나 빨리 주어진 기능을 수행하는지 사용하는데 애로는 없는지 등 개별적인 속성에 대한 수행도 위주의 사용성평가에 그치고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 수행도 위주의 사용성평가에서 탈피하여 사용자 인터페이스에 대한 주관적 선호도를 바탕으로 사용자의 입장에서 중요한 속성은 무엇이며 또 그러한 속성의 각 수준에 사용자가 부여하는 가치는 어느 정도인가를 파악하기 위하여 실제 제품을 사용하는 것과 동일한 환경 하에서 사용하게 한 후 선호도를 측정하였으며 컨조인트분석에 의하여 각 속성의 중요도 및 각 수준의 만족도를 분석하였다. 이러한 사용성평가 및 분석은 사용자 인터페이스 디자인 프로세스의 최종단계로서 진행되는 것이 아닌 초기단계부터 그 방법과 내용, 또 어떻게 디자인에 피드백할 것인가 등을 계획하여 반복적으로 실시되어야 한다.

최근 소비자들은 스스로 원하는 물건을 만드는 소비자이자 생산자로 역할이 바뀌고 있다. 현대의 소비 방식에 따라 의류 생산 방식도 변화의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 니팅머신도 그 중 하나로, 대량생산 기기였지만 소규모로 어디서나 옷을 제작할 수 있는 기기가 개발되었다. 니트 제작은 다른 의류 디자인보다 고려해야하는 부분이 많아 니트 제작 프로그램의 사용성에 관한 개선이 필요하지만, 아직 일반 대중이 사용하기에는 어려움이 있음을 발견했다. 이에 본 연구에서는 니팅머신을 이용한 의류 제작 사이트의 웹 사용성을 평가할 수 있는 평가항목을 제안하고자한다. 이를 위해 현재 사용되고 있는 니팅머신용 프로그램과 커스터마이징 상품 제작 웹사이트의 사례와 사이트 별 UI를 조사 분석 하였다. 이러한 선행 조사를 바탕으로 평가항목 초안을 도출하고, 초안을 기반으로 3차례의 델파이 조사를 실시하여 항목의 분류, 수정, 삭제의 과정을 거쳐 평가도구를 제작했다. 최종 평가도구 제작 후 각 항목을 8개의 구성요소로 그룹화하여 니팅 커스터마이징 웹사이트만의 특화된 영역을 탐구했다. 그 결과 니트 디자인 과정을 담아낼 수 있는 UI에 관한 항목이 특징적으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 향후 니팅머신용 커스터마이징 상품제작 웹사이트의 사용성 향상과 이를 통한 니팅머신의 대중화를 기대한다.

This study aimed to provide consumer perception and evaluation of natural Cynanchi Atrium Fermented Original Cosmetics for Skin Whitening that can improve skin by using oriental medicinal ingredients. The product was applied three times a day for two weeks by a total of 60 users who agreed to participate in a clinical trial assessing the usability and skin sensitivity to extracts that had already completed component safety testing. This study subjects reported which images were most reminiscent of Korea. They preferred products that bore Korean images because they felt trust and recognized that the quality of the cosmetics was excellent. The responses also showed that many consumers were willing to buy a product, even though it was luxurious, elegant, and expensive. The cognitive evaluation of Original Cosmetics was high and showed that the quality was likely to be good. The usability and CMF(Color, Material, Finishing) evaluation of Original Cosmetics showed good product the product is long-lasting and tightened and moisturized skin naturally. They are think about that this product it has moisturizing effects and good application for use, so it is light and soft to use. And had a whitening effect. It was intended to assist in the development of products that meet consumers' desires and expectations for safe, healthy, and beautiful skin by developing a skin whitening Original Cosmetics prototype that can inhibit the production of melanin and tyrosinase activity safely and effectively.

Product-related services in manufacturing industry are different from typical services in service industry. Product-related services ensure proper product functioning, provide additional repurchase, and offer attractive margin Product-related services in manufacturing industry are not core activity but taking supporting roles, while services in typical service industry are core parts. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of communication in linking IT and product-related logistics service in manufacturing industry. The relationships among IT, communication, logistics service and business performance are explored using a path analysis. The empirical research reveals that higher degree of IT usability leads to increased communication, and in turn, communication affects logistics service, and ultimately business performance. In addition, this study shows communication plays an intermediate role in linking IT to logistics service.
