Child abuse is urgent and important issue that dominates child's life and influences lifetime. Especially, the children who use the daycare facilities are vulnerable to ill-treatment because of young age, resulting in being serious in after-affect of its abuse. In case of being serious, a child may lead to death. Also, the main agent is absent that will speak for the abused child's injustice and ask for help. Thus, the child abuse has many cases of coming to a close always as children's miserable sacrifice. Hence, the child care center employees will need to recognize a fact that the child abuse is not a private problem within home any more, but a serious crime, and to be confronted by early finding and reporting abuse as a responsible person for report. When the child care center employees fully perform a role as a responsible person for report of child abuse and when the cooperation between child protection service and day care center is properly made after report, the daycare facilities will be able to play a role of child safety network, which protects children of being put in the exclusion.
Recently, the number of elderly people residing in nursing homes has increased rapidly due to the increase in the elderly population and the introduction of long-term care insurance. These long-term care patients suffer from chronic illnesses and dementia, and thus suffer from inconveniences or lack of cognitive ability. Thus, psychological and emotional support is urgent because they are depressed away from their families. Therefore, in this paper, we aim to provide a virtual experience of overseas trips by using VR and Photon networks for elderly patients with mobility difficulties. Existing VR-based travel experience service is doing alone, but the proposed contents can enjoy the scenery together with the view of the family member as well as the conversation during the travel experience. It is expected that the elderly patients with long - term care will be able to restore their psychological stability and improve their willingness to heal and improve their quality of life from the proposed application.

Purpose: This thesis focuses on researching the burden of the Home Health Care that the Family Care-givers have. Method: This study had been conducted for the duration of 3 consecutive months from January 2006 to March 2006 and had investigated 120 person registered as the Home Health Care Clients to a University Hospital located in Incheon City. The thesis adopted the 'feeling of burden' measuring method jointly developed by Seo, Mi-Hye and Oh, Ga-Sil(1993), and FACES-III(Family Adaptability Cohesion Evaluation) developed by Olson(1985) etc. translated by Kim, Yun-Hee(1989) as the measuring method for Family Function. Result: The overall Health Status of the Home Health Care Clients was 2.18 point of average out of 3 point, where as 1.83 for Activities of Daily living and 1.98 for Vital sign, which are below the average. In the mean time, the Competence for Modified Barthel Index marked 30.88 point out of the full mark. The analyzed result of the burden that the family members have was 3.43 point of average out of 5 point which shows that the interviewee feel that they are considerable burden to their families. When it comes to 'the Burden to the family members' and 'the Function of the family' according to the characteristics of the patient, the result shows statistically significant differences, which are varied according to gender, the relationship between the care-givers and the patients. When it comes to the Family Cohesion, the difference was examined as 'statistically significant' according to the Academic background of the patients and the relationship between the patients and the interviewee.(p<0.05). The result also suggests that there exists 'Negative correlation' among the level of patients' health status, the Family Cohesion and the Family Burden. Conclusion: From the result of this study stated above, this thesis is strongly insisting that there is an urgent need for us to develop a health care mediation program, which could eventually reduce the burden of home health care that the patients' family have. At the same time, a follow-up research to prove the effect of the program is imminent.
Changing concepts of health care, are stimulating the demand for health care, thereby orienting society to health care rights to such an extent that they are deemed as fundamental ones inalienable to man. Concomitantly, qualitative as well as quantative improvement is being sought in the nursing service field. Today, efforts are being made in various areas, especially to qualitatively improve nursing services. A second issue concerns proper staffing. It is important to study staffing, in as much as it continues to be the most persistent and critical problem facing hospital nursing administrators today. It involves quantity, quality, and utilization of nursing personnel. A great deal of attention has been focused on this problem since mid 1930's when nursing services began to be felt as an important segment of hospital operation representing the largest single item of hospital budgets. Traditionally, the determination and allocation of nursing personnel resources has relied heavily on gloval approaches which make use of fixed staff-to-patient ratios. It has long been recognized that these ratios are insensitive to variations between institutions and among individual patients. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to point to the urgent need for the development of methodology and criteria suited to the reality of Korea. The present research selected one place, the W Christian Hospital, and was conducted over a period 10 days from January, and nurses who were them on duty in their unit. The total num-her of patients surveyed was 1,426 and that of 354. The research represents many variables affecting the direct patient care time using the result from the direct observation method, then using a calculation method to estimate the relationship between the patients care time and selected variables in the hospital setting. The amount of direct patient care time varies with many factors, such 89 the patients age. diagnosis and time in hospital. Differences are also found from hospital, clinic to clinic, ward to ward, and even shift to shift. In this research, the calculation method of estimating the required member of nursing staff is obtained by dividing the time of productive patient care activity(with the time of patient care observed), by the sum of the productive time that each the staff can supply, i.e., 360 minutes, which is obtained by deducting the time for personal activities. The results indicate a substantial difference between the time of productive patient care observed directing and the time of the productive patient care estimated using calculating method. If we know accurately the time of the direct patient care on a shift, there required number of staff members calculated if the proper method can be determinded should be able the time of the direct patient care be estimated by the patient classification system, but this research has shown this system to be in accurate in Korea. There are differences in the recommended time of productive patient care and the required number of nursing staff depending upon which method is used. The calculated result is not very accurate, so more research is needed on the patient classification system.

This study is aimed at identifying the important factors required by customers through importance-satisfaction analysis of how they choose skin care shops on the basis of certain factors and attributes at this time when there is an urgent need to improve the level of quality that meets their expectations and demands in combination with the quantitative expansion of skin care shops. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 217 people over the age of 20 in Gwangju and Jeonnam area with experience in using skin care shop services. The SPSS v. 21.0 program was used to analyze the collected data. The results are summarized as follows. IPA grid analysis of the difference in importance-satisfaction of sub-factors for skin care shop choice showed that the items corresponding to the upper-left side of maintenance and strengthening, the upper-right side of stainability, and the lower-left side of gradual improvement were the 'sanitary control of tools and products', 'basic situation(legal compliance)', and 'workers' sanitary control', 'internal control of skin care shops', 'professionalism and skills of workers'and 'quality of services', respectively. Consequently, the results of this study will be based on the efficient operation of skin care shops, and further more the utilization of them is expected to expand the quantitative and qualitative base of the skin care industry.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of awareness of the concept of 'hospice palliative medical care' and decision of 'life-prolonging medical care' by the general public subjects. A survey was conducted on 346 participants and officials who participated in an event held in September 2016. As a result of the research, the subjects' responses results to the life-prolonging medical care decision showed that people with religion wanted natural death compared to people without religion, and had more active attitude toward decisions related to dignity death. Religion is an important factor that can influence perceptions of life and death, believing that afterlife is after death, so it is possible to take a more firm stance on the extension of meaningless life at the last minute. Therefore, in order to stabilize the hospice care and prescription medical decision law to the general public and to improve the quality of the death and the dignity of life, it is necessary to develop awareness through various educational programs in consideration of age, education level. In addition, education and promotion should be strengthened so that the general public can fully understand the knowledge of hospice palliative care and health care and government standardization and policies for hospice personnel and breeding programs will be urgent.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the difficulties with end-of-life care (EOLC) experienced by intensive care unit (ICU) nurses and to investigate their educational needs for EOLC. Methods: Mixed methods were used to survey ICU nurses at a university hospital. Quantitative data (N=106) were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using an independent samples t-test, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test and $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test. Qualitative data (N=19) were collected through focus group interviews and analyzed through qualitative content analysis. Results: The mean score on the difficulty of EOLC was 3.41 out of 5. The education needs derived from the qualitative analysis was categorized into four themes: 1) guidelines on professional EOLC, 2) spiritual care, 3) a program to take care of feelings of patients, families and nurses, and 4) activities to think about death. Conclusion: This study confirmed that ICU nurses were experiencing an extreme difficulty in providing EOLC. In addition, a qualitative analysis confirmed that they needed an EOL nursing program. To mitigate the difficulties experienced by nurses involved in EOLC, there is an urgent need to develop an education program for EOLC tailored to nurses' needs.

Safety accidents are frequently occurring in day care centers in recent years. The number of types of safety accidents is bumping into, falling, burning, school bus accident, insertion... etc., and the number of children who have died due to such accidents is increasing steadily every year. Therefore, it is urgent to prevent accidents at day care centers. IoT (Internet of Things) is managed by connecting various sensors and related products from the living space to the Internet in order to prevent them from being dangerous. In particular, IoT products can be automatically controlled by smart phones and sensors anytime and anywhere, thus saving energy, time, convenience and prompt accuracy. This paper proposes a research model to prevent and respond to disasters by using SK LoRa communication network and Arduino, which are Internet access networks for building disaster management in schools, kindergartens and day care centers. And various sensors needed for building disaster management express various safety states in the building and suggests a system that can control the residential environment by transmitting and receiving data to smart phone.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the actual care costs paid to Korean Oncology Advanced Practice Nurses (KOAPN). Methods: We collected data using a group discussion and questionnaire identified 115 tasks from job descriptions developed by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing. Forty-two KOAPN working at three university hospitals in Seoul were asked to evaluate each task as to type and whether the cost is paid or not. They were also asked to indicate the tasks in urgent need of development of a care cost with high priority. Results: Only five tasks (4.3%) related to treatment and complication related interventions or education were paid, and they were paid only once during the entire treatment period and were not covered by national health insurance. It was approved as a medical fee by health insurance review & assessment service. Furthermore, the names of the authority (doctor) and the actual provider (nurse) of the prescriptions were different for three of those tasks. Most of the suggested tasks needing development of care costs were actions specifically performed by nurses (physical-psychosocial-spiritual assessment, independent nursing interventions). Conclusion: KOAPN are currently paid for few tasks. To maximize the utilization of KOAPN, the establishment of a clear rational payment system directly related to their actual activities is needed.
Objectives : This study was conducted to investigate the need of medical supporting service (MSS) as a part of community-based hospice palliative care from the view point of beneficiaries and providers. Methods : This study adopted a methodological triangulation design. A questionnaire regarding intention to use MSS was completed by 175 patients under home-based cancer patient management program. And three focus groups consisted of hospice nurses, public health physicians, and public officials were interviewed to obtain the perceived needs, obstacles, and solutions of MSS. Results : Mean age of home-based cancer patient was 70.18 year old, 48.0% of them were living alone. Only 53.7% of them were treated pain and 93.7% intend to take pain medication prescribed by public health physician. All participants of focus group interviews agreed necessity and importance of MSS. Physicians' lack of confidence and unwillingness to prescribe opioid to terminal patients was the biggest obstacle to provide MSS in the public health center. Conclusions : The necessity and demand of MSS for community-dwelling cancer patients were verified. MSS is urgent issue to meet their needs.
