For the treatment of acute respiratory failure and emergency care of an urgent patient, tracheostomy in itself may have been a life saving procedure. But, tracheal stenosis gives serious clinical manifestation which can only be corrected by surgical intervention in many occasions. We experienced one case of tracheal stenosis following tracheostomy for assisted ventilation. Tracheogram showed a 4.0 cm segmental narrowing below the tracheostoma. Before reconstruction, we tried to T-tube cannulation, but the result was not satisfactory. So we resected the narrowed segment and tracheal reconstruction was performed with uneventful result.

This survey is to know the present situation and effective alternatives of mathematics gifted education program for the 5-8 grade students in Korea. This is aiming at finding effective ideas useful to the definition of the gifted, the development of the methods and tools for identification, the proper organization of program and urgent issues. The number of collected questionnaire available by mailing is 92; 21 specialists, 24 experienced teachers and 47 scholars who are concerned with the education for the gifted. This paper involves a study of developing the production scheduling system in a general job shop type mechanical factory. We consider realistic situations in the job-shop environments, such as alternative machines for operation, the new kinds of processes, the machining center with the plural pallet, the operational situation of each machine during the scheduling period, occurings of urgent orders and machine breakdowns. We also propose the methodology of re-schedule. It is very fast and acceptable for real time production control system. These all functions are implemented on IBM PC and program source is written in PASCAL language.

In view of the far-reaching effects and diversity, understanding its concrete substance is easier said than done. The need for a systematic approach to this subject is very urgent. This study aims at grasping a various fields that port development encompasses, as practical as possible. Therefore, this article describes the basic economic impact and characteristics of port development and explores the implications for regional economy.

Establishment of a diagnosing technology for the deterioration of reinforced concrete structures due to salt contamination is urgent, but few analytical methods based on measured data obtained from concrete structures have been presented so far. Chloride penetration into concrete from sea water is generally understood and analysed as diffusion of chloride ion. This paper presents a new method of predicting chloride penetration into concrete based on diffusion theory. Also, it determines the duralility of Marine structure in service with the prediction of remaiing lifetime by the carvonation test.

Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) has been very popular in unattended surveillance systems recently. For Applying WSN into Building Automation system(BAS), a novel hierarchial network structure and static routing algorithm which eliminates the scalability limitation of Zigbee are proposed in this paper. The static routing algorithm relying on the hierarchial network address reduces the computational complexity to a great extent and has a real-time performance which satisfies urgent applications well.

This survey on marketed Kimchi was performed in 455 housewives living in daegu city area and investigated for marketablity and quality improvement of Kimchi. The results obtained as follows : 1. Subjects percepted marketed Kimchi as convenient and economical. 2. The proportion of subjects who has bought the marketed Kimchi products was 68.6%, some factors-ages, academic career, income, family system-were investigated. 3. Subjects bought the needed amount for 1-2days at hygienic store, by one's experiences and prefered Baechu-Kimchi 4. The most urgent improvement for the marketed Kimchi is it's standardization.

Urgent increasing of the vehicles influence air pollution and the damage of the plants and animals. Particularly, exhaust-ing particulate of diesel vehicles give serious effect to human life. Therefore, this study aim to reduce amount of particulate and to contribute developing after-treatment in diesel engine. Through the experimental and theoretical study about charac-teristics of the electric heat regeneration, various results are obtained.

With the rapid growth of network distributions of digitized media(audio, image, and video), there is an urgent need for copyright protection. For now watermarking is a well-known technique for copyright protection of digital data. To embed a digital watermark to the image, discrete cosine transform(DCT) and wavelet transform are commonly used. In this paper, the performance of the DCT based watermarking technique and wavelet based watermarking technique were compared and the influences of the parameter a that decides the strength of the watermarking data were considered.

illegal medical advertisement have been on the rise, and false and exaggerated medical advertising are increasing the damage to medical consumers. Therefore it is urgent to take countermeasures about this. Thus, this paper try to analyzes the characteristics of general commercial and other medical advertisements and looks for alternatives that can minimize the damage caused by illegal medical advertisements and institutional weaknesses by analyzing the regulatory trends in medical advertising.
