Based on the literature review, this study examined variables with health-related quality of life and construct integrated conceptual framework of the study. For data analysis, SPSS 18.0 and LISREL 8.8. were used to calculate the percentage, mean, standard deviation, Spearman correlation, and path analysis parameter. The total mean EQ-5D index score was $0.81({\pm}0.20)$ and the major problems were pain/discomfort (62.5%) and mobility (53.9%) and normal activity (38.9%). The model showed a goodness of fit to the empirical data. Age, income, health promotion behavior, social support, physical health and mental health had significant direct effects on EQ-5D and age, income, health promotion behavior and social support had indirect effects on EQ-5D. These variables explained 28% of the variance of EQ-5D. To improve the quality of life in urban elderly women, it is essential to have a comprehensive program for elderly women.

  • Recently the rural women's role has been changed from assisting men to leading major farm work. However, contribution of women in the rural area has not beers fairly evaluated. Hence, it has been difficult for the rural women to receive the reasonable compensation if they injured, had some disasters or were divorced. Therefore this study tried to suggest economic methods such as market cost approach, opportunity cost method and shadow wage method for evaluating rural women's labor. It might provide some information for helping to establish the status of rural women as a income earner through estimating money value of labor contributed by rural women and furthermore, be useful information to improve the efficiency of farm labor by exploring the relationship between value of labor and actual income. Hence, it might help improve the economic situation and life at home of rural women, solve difficulties in the real life and reduce disparity of economic distribution between urban and rural area.

  • This paper examines the advertisements for mass-produced women's clothing, which appeared in the 1980s issues of the fashion magazine Wolganmeot. This study explores the communicative aspect of fashion advertisements of the 1980s as a platform for complex and dynamic interactions between fashion brands, female consumers, and the rapidly changing social, cultural, and economic conditions of the period. The research focuses on advertisements in the formal and character casual categories that targeted young, urban, and career-seeking women. Based on the analysis of the visual and textual elements of the advertisements from a pragmatics perspective, this paper concludes that fashion brands sought to highlight an 'intelligent', 'urban', and 'individualistic' image of women. It also proposes that the prevalence of assertive and straightforward textual elements, copies, indicates the efforts of fashion brands to stabilize and reinforce the advertising messages in the fast-evolving landscapes of the fashion industry and changing consumption habits.
