Lead zirconate titanate (PZT)/ bismuth ferrite (BFO) multilayer thin films have been fabricated by the spin-coating method on Pt(200 nm)/Ti(10 nm)/$SiO_2$(100 nm)/p-Si(100) substrates using $BiFeO_3$ and $Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ metal alkoxide solutions. The PZT/BFO multilayer thin films show a uniform and void-free grain structure, and the grain size is smaller than that of PZT single films. The reason for this is assumed to be that the lower BFO layers play an important role as a nucleation site or seed layer for the formation of homogeneous and uniform upper PZT layers. The dielectric constant and dielectric losses decreased with increasing number of coatings, and the six-layer PZT/BFO thin film has good properties of 162 (dielectric constant) and 0.017 (dielectric losses) at 1 kHz. The remnant polarization and coercive field of three-layer PZT/BFO thin films were 13.86 ${\mu}C/cm^2$ and 37 kV/cm respectively.
Objectives : This study was conducted to confirm validation and stability of concentration analysis method of pure melittin (Sweet Bee Venom-Sweet BV) extracted from the bee venom by utilizing protein isolation method of gel filtration. Methods : All experiments were conducted at Biotoxtech, a non-clinical studies authorized institution, under the regulations of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Standard solutions of melittin (SIGMA, USA) and test substances were dispensed and were analyzed with HPLC for Sweet BV to secure the validation of analysis. Results : 1. Measurement of system suitability of Sweet BV satisfied criterion of below 3%. 2. Confirming Linearity of Sweet BV in 10-200${\mu}g/m\ell$ solution yielded correlation coefficient (r) of 0.995 and accuracy of 85-115% which satisfy criterion. 3. Measurement of Specificity of Sweet BV didn't yield any substance affecting the peak of test substances, but detected at 21.22min verified as the test substance. 4. Confirming Intra-day of Sweet BV, accuracy and precision of 0.1, 100${\mu}g/m\ell$ were 105.70, 95.81 and 0.66, 0.73, respectively, satisfying both criteria of accuracy (85-115%) and precision (within 10%). 5. To measure Stability in autosampler, all samples used in Intra-day reproducibility sat in the autosampler for five hours and were re-analyzed. Both variability and precision satisfied the criteria. 6. Homogeneity of Sweet BV (0.1, 100${\mu}g/m\ell$) at upper, middle, and lower layers all satisfied the accuracy and precision criteria. 7. Stability of Sweet BV (0.1, 100${\mu}g/m\ell$) at room temperature for four hours and refrigerated for 7 days all satisfied the criterion. 8. For the measurement of Quality control, QC samples measured on the first and eighth day all satisfied accuracy and precision criteria. Conclusion : Above experiment data satisfies validation and stability of concentration analysis method of Sweet BV.

Wireless multicast is considered as an effective transmission mode for the future mobile social contact services supported by Long Time Evolution (LTE). Though wireless multicast has an excellent resource efficiency, its performance suffers deterioration from the channel condition and wireless resource availability. Cognitive Radio (CR) and Device to Device (D2D) are two solutions to provide potential resource. However, resource allocation for cognitive wireless multicast based on D2D is still a great challenge for LTE social networks. In this paper, a joint sub-carriers and power allocation model based on D2D for general cognitive radio multicast (CR-D2D-MC) is proposed for Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) LTE systems. By opportunistically accessing the licensed spectrum, the maximized capacity for multiple cognitive multicast groups is achieved with the condition of the general scenario of imperfect spectrum sensing, the constrains of interference to primary users (PUs) and an upper-bound power of secondary users (SUs) acting as multicast source nodes. Furthermore, the fairness for multicast groups or unicast terminals is guaranteed by setting a lower-bound number of the subcarriers allocated to cognitive multicast groups. Lagrange duality algorithm is adopted to obtain the optimal solution to the proposed CR-D2D-MC model. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves the performance of cognitive multicast groups and achieves a good balance between capacity and fairness.

Based on the theory of porous media, an interaction system of a floating pile and a saturated soil in cylindrical coordinates subjected to vertical harmonic load is presented in this paper. The surrounding soil is separated into two distinct layers. The upper soil layer above the level of pile base is described as a saturated viscoelastic medium and the lower soil layer is idealized as equivalent spring-dashpot elements with complex stiffness. Considering the cylindrically symmetry and the pile-soil compatibility condition of the interaction system, a frequency-domain analytical solution for dynamic impedance of the floating pile embedded in saturated viscoelastic soil is also derived, and reduced to verify it with existing solutions. An extensive parametric analysis has been conducted to reveal the effects of the impedance of the lower soil base, the interaction coefficient and the damping coefficient of the saturated viscoelastic soil layer on the vertical vibration of the pile-soil interaction system. It is shown that the vertical dynamic impedance of the floating pile significantly depends on the real stiffness of the impedance of the lower soil base, but is less sensitive to its dynamic damping variation; the behavior of the pile in poro-visco-elastic soils is totally different with that in single-phase elastic soils due to the existence of pore liquid; the effect of the interaction coefficient of solid and liquid on the pile-soil system is limited.

The present study is concerned with the analysis of three-dimensional sheet metal forming process by the upper-bound method. For the analysis a systematic approach is necessary for the expression of geometric configuration of the deforming workpiece. In the present paper geometric configuration is constructed by three unit surfaces which are defined by sweeping the vertical section curves and boundary curve. The principal components of strain increment during the process is calculated directly from the change of geometric configuration for an arbitrary triangular element. The corresponding solution is found through optimization of the total energy consumption with respect to some parameters assumed in the velocity field and geometric profile. In order to verify the effectiveness of the present method, hydrostatic bulging of a rectangular disphragm is analyzed and the computation by the present method for the geometric shape renders the good result. From the comparison of the present results with the existing experimental results and elastic-plastic finite element solutions, good agreements have been obtained for the pressure curves, polar membrane strains and pressure distributions. The present method can thus be further applied to the analysis of other three-dimensional sheet metal forming processes.

An effective methodology is reported for determining the optimal lot size of batch processing and storage networks which include uncertain demand forecasting. We assume that any given storage unit can store one material type which can be purchased from suppliers, internally produced, infernally consumed, transported to or from other sites and/or sold to customers. We further assume that a storage unit is connected to all processing and transportation stages that consume/produce or move the material to which that storage unit is dedicated. Each processing stage transforms a set of feedstock materials or intermediates into a set of products with constant conversion factors. A batch transportation process can transfer one material or multiple materials at once between sites. The objective for optimization is to minimize the probability averaged total cost composed of raw material procurement, processing setup, transportation setup and inventory holding costs as well as the capital costs of processing stages and storage units. A novel production and inventory analysis formulation, the PSW(Periodic Square Wave) model, provides useful expressions for the upper/lower bounds and average level of the storage inventory. The expressions for the Kuhn-Tucker conditions of the optimization problem can be reduced to two sub-problems. The first yields analytical solutions for determining lot sires while the second is a separable concave minimization network flow subproblem whose solution yields the average material flow rates through the networks for the given demand forecast scenario. The result of this study will contribute to the optimal design and operation of the global supply chain.

FlexRay is a new standard of network communication system which provides solutions to the degradation problems generated by many ECU (Electronic Control Unit) connections in automobiles and automation systems. The upper bound of the data rate is 10Mbps and it provides two channels for redundancy In this paper, FlexRay system is first designed using SDL. For hardware implementation, FlexRay system is designed using Verilog HDL based on the SDL design result. The designed system is synthesized using Synopsys Design Compiler with the Magna/Hynix 0.18 um cell library. In this paper, to construct a FlexRay network, active star is used since active star systems can provide high speed data transmission up to 10Mbps. The performance of the star network is tested using one transmitter node and two receiver nodes.

The general theoretical solutions for the wavespeed and damping derived in Part 1 of this work, are incorporated into the computer code. In this paper the code is used in a parametric study of the influence of excitation frequency and variations in material properties on propagation velocity and damping. Compressional wave velocity for waves of the first kind is shown to vary as a function of the frequency-permeability product, with a zone where wavespeed transitions from a lower bound value to a higher bound value with increasing values of the product. Damping is seen to be a maximum where the rate of change in wavespeed is greatest. Waves of the second kind also show a transition in wavespeed from near zero at low values of the frequency-permeability product to an upper bound value at higher values of the product.
Colon-specific delivery of glucocorticoids is highly desirable for the efficient treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. We synthesized prednisolone 21-sulfate sodium (PDS) as a colon-specific prodrug of prednisolone (PD) and investigated its properties using rats as test animals. We expected that introduction of sulfate ester as a sodium salt might increase the hydrophilicity and restrict the absorption in the GI tract. If PDS is stable and nonabsorbable in the upper intestine, it will be delivered to the colon as an intact form, where it hydrolyze by the sulfatase to release PD. Compared with PD, the solubility of PDS increased and the apparent partition coefficient decreased greatly. PDS was stable on incubation with pH 1.2 and 6.8 buffer solutions and with the contents of the stomach and small intestine. On incubation with the cecal contents, PDS decreased to 9.6% of the dose in 10 h producing PD. The amount of PD increased to give a maximum 54% of the dose and decreased. As a control, when PD was incubated with the cecal contents, it decreased to 29% of the dose in 8 h, which implied that reduction of PD proceeded under such conditions. These results suggested that hydrolysis of PDS took place to produce and accumulate PD, which decreased by reduction as the incubation period extended. Our results suggested that PDS can be a promising colon-specific prodrug of PD, and sulfate ester group might serve as a potential colon-specific promoiety, especially for the drugs which are resistant to reduction in the colon.

In this paper, an efficient higher-order shear deformation theory is presented to analyze thermomechanical bending of temperature-dependent functionally graded (FG) plates resting on an elastic foundation. Further simplifying supposition are made to the conventional HSDT so that the number of unknowns is reduced, significantly facilitating engineering analysis. These theory account for hyperbolic distributions of the transverse shear strains and satisfy the zero traction boundary conditions on the surfaces of the plate without using shear correction factors. Power law material properties and linear steady-state thermal loads are assumed to be graded along the thickness. Nonlinear thermal conditions are imposed at the upper and lower surface for simply supported FG plates. Equations of motion are derived from the principle of virtual displacements. Analytical solutions for the thermomechanical bending analysis are obtained based on Fourier series that satisfy the boundary conditions (Navier's method). Non-dimensional results are compared for temperature-dependent FG plates and validated with those of other shear deformation theories. Numerical investigation is conducted to show the effect of material composition, plate geometry, and temperature field on the thermomechanical bending characteristics. It can be concluded that the present theory is not only accurate but also simple in predicting the thermomechanical bending responses of temperature-dependent FG plates.
