스마트미터링 혹은 스마트미터의 기본 요구사항 중 하나는 AMI 환경의 장비들에 대한 펌웨어 원격 업그레이드 기능이다. 수동적인 H/W 장비의 교체 없이 S/W 및 펌웨어 교체만으로 변화되는 환경에 유연하게 대체할 수 있도록 하며 다양한 부가서비스 창출 및 사업화지원을 위해서 시스템을 주기적으로 유지보수함으로써 유지보수에 필요한 인건비를 절감 한다는 측면과 서비스의 즉시성 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 AMI 시스템 개발 시작품 중 데이터수집장치 및 스마트 미터를 대상으로하는 원격 펌웨어 업그레이드시스템(FUMS, Firmware Upgrade Management System)의 국제적 수준의 일반적 요구기능과 시스템 설계 내용을 제시한다.

Sapporo subway sets up the integrated information system to be aim at the effective and automatic work from the first time. They are expanding integrated system by introducing IT into Serve system positively which developed for recent several years. To keep up with the big size and high speed of information according to integrated system,. the integrated transmission line system which is basic of the integrated system is changed into the system which apply the newest technology. Also, they are aimed at the next generation traffic system through the cooperation of the local administration, for example, test of the multipurpose card using non-contact IC card. This study reviewed the present state of Sapporo subway, the upgrade of information transmission system, and the function of each serve system those are the order of equipment, management of the running, management of the disaster presentation, signal protection, passenger management etc.

MBNQA(Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award) was established in 1987 in order to promote the spread of TQM in U.S. Likewise, JQA(Japanese Quality Award) was set up in 1995 in order to upgrade the level of TQM activities in Japan. MBNQA and JQA are quite the same in their basic concept, values, and the process of the examination, but they differ in the contents of the criteria. The objective of this study is to identify the differences between MBNQA and JQA in terms of strategy planning category. Therefore, in this paper, strategy planning category is analyzed, especially its theoretical validity is examined by literature review. The major differences are as follows: JQA emphasizes strongly the evaluation process than MBNQA by requiring the measuring of the level of strategic achievement. On the other hand, in MBNQA, strategic objectives must be estimated by decision analysis techniques, scenario tools, and other statistical methodologies.

Two mega-regional negotiations are changing the landscape of Asia Pacific trade policy: an Asian track centered on ASEAN (the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership or RCEP), and a Trans-Pacific track centered on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) among 12 economies, including the United States, which Korea is expected to join. Modeling results suggest that both would generate substantial benefits for Korea and the global economy. From Korea's viewpoint, the agreements would establish new FTAs with China, Japan and smaller economies, improve the utilization of FTAs by permitting the regional cumulation of inputs, and help to upgrade some Korean FTAs to more rigorous standards. By participating in these agreements, Korea could also help to guide them toward inclusive, high-quality regional outcomes. As one of the region's most open and agile economies, Korea has a large stake in regional integration and would be well advised to pursue both tracks.

Characteristics of the present world market include demanding and sophisticated customers, requirement of high quality and innovative products, greater product diversity, increasing labour and products costs, availability of diverse alternatives to the customers and smaller batch sizes to satisfy a variety of customer profiles. To fulfil these characteristics, manufacturing companies need to be flexible adaptable, proactive and able to produce variety of products in short time at low cost. The aim of the study is to develop a computer-aided design system for water-gate on AutoCAD R2000 system. The developed system has been written in AutoCAD and VisualLISP with a personal computer, and is composed four modules which are the gate-lifter input module, guide-frame input module, and upgrade module. Based on knowledge-based rules, the system is designed by considering several factors, such as width and height of a water-gate, material, object of product and maximum depth of water.

Rebuilding an existing paper machine is often a very profitable way for papermakers to increase the cash flow created by an older paper machine. In Metso Paper we have placed particular emphasis in recent years on developing concepts and products specifically for rebuild needs. The outcome of this work can now be seen as a wide selection of products offering quite possibly the best coverage of all time of specific improvement targets. Different needs can be addressed through truly different solutions. Selecting the best-fit alternatives will offer great upgrade options for all paper machines and paper grades. Metso Paper's long experience with high-speed paper machines has been put to good use to create more cost-effective small and mid-sized solutions with the reliability and quality of bigger and faster paper machines. This paper has discussed some of the most interesting and latest configurations available today for paper machine rebuilds.

Recently number of reinstrumentation projects in the process plants has grown to meet the needs to modernize or upgrade the exsisting control systems in a bid to boost productivity and quality. Design, installation and start-up of these process automation systems can be successful and trouble-free only if decision points are addressed properly. The critical decision points are encountered from tile design through the start-up phases of implementing a modernization project and discussed extensively here on a practical basis. Key points are ;to assign a project manager out of the plant instrument engineers for him to organize and lead a project team. ;to follow three critical steps in designing and implementing. :to think ahead of the critical steps and to induce a positive cooperation from all level of participants in the effort to prevent possible schedule delays.

The purpose of this study is analysis of aircraft turbulence of mid Korea using VWS from Osan radiosonde data and comparison with the PIREPs reporting the aircraft turbulence during $1990{\sim}1999$. The results of this study summarized that the frequence of aircraft events is more higher in winter time and in lower level(near the surface) of the atmosphere from VWS analysis using radiosonde data. And comparison with PIREPs data shows that relatively high skill score(44%) using the VWS method. It appears that the operational forecast skill score of aircraft turbulence is much higher using VWS than empirical method, due to the upgrade of the discrimination criteria of the aircraft turbulence.

Satellite Operations Subsystem in the Mission Control Element provides real-time monitoring of the satellite status and transmits telecommands to control the satellite during the contact time. This paper presents the dynamic fault management strategy of Satellite Operations Subsystem designed to minimize data loss using software and hardware redundancy for upgrade safety and reliability of Satellite Operations Subsystem. Also this paper describes the performance test method to prove justification of implementation and analyzes the results.
