유압 트랜스포머를 이용한 유압 실린더의 에너지 절감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Energy Saving Hydraulic Cylinder System Using Hydraulic Transformer)

  • In order to reduce energy consumption, secondary controlled system has been applied to many types of equipments. In lifting equipments or press machines using hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic transformer is used as a control component instead of a valve for motion control and a component for recovering potential energy of load. The transformer is a combination of a variable displacement pump/motor as a secondary controlled element and a fixed displacement pump/motor. In this paper the effect of transformer is studied. Multiple closed loop controllers with displacement feedback of variable pump/motor, speed feedback and position feedback of cylinder are used. The efficiency and energy consumption when cylinder is driven up and down is calculated by simulation. Simulation results show that considerable energy saving is achieved by choosing load ratio, circuit type and supply pressure.

세탁기용 유도모터의 냉각에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Cooling of Induction Motor In a Washing Machine)

  • The numerical study was carried out to effectively cool Induction motor applied to a washing machine. The outer rotor made of steel periodically spins up and down. The stator consists of the thin layered iron plates and copper coil. The effective cooling system is necessary to solve the reliability problem caused by the electric losses at the coil and the iron plate. Because the heat transfer rate of the natural convection in partially open space is generally low, thus it is necessary to enhance the heat transfer using rotating perforated plate. The flow phenomena around the motor are very complex due to the motor geometry and the outer rotor motion. The mixed convection takes place due to the slow rotation speed. The three dimensional flow simulation was performed using rotating reference frame technique and Boussinesq approximation but the radiation effect was neglected. It was found that the angle and direction of the cooling blades play an important role in the stator temperature.

3D 맵 빌딩을 위한 하이브리드 미디언 필터를 이용한 LRF의 임펄스 잡음 제거 (Impulse Noise Removal of LRF for 3D Map Building Using a Hybrid Median Filter)

  • In this paper, a single LRF has been used to produce a 3D map for the mobile robot navigation. The 2D laser scanners are used for mobile robots navigation, where the laser scanner is applied to detect a certain level of area by the straight beam. Therefore it is limited to the usages of 2D obstacle detection and avoidance. In this research, it is designed to complement a mobile robot system to move up and down a single LRF along the yaw axis. During the up and down motion, the 2D data are stacked and manipulated to build a 3D map. Often a single LRF data are mixed with Gaussian and impulse noises. The impulse noises are removed out by the hybrid median filter designed in this research. The 2D data which are improved by deleting the impulse noises are layered to build the 3D map. Removing impulse noises while preserving the boundary is a main advantages of the hybrid median filter which has been used widely to improve the quality of images. The effectiveness of this hybrid median filter for rejecting the impulse noises has been verified through the real experiments. The performance of the hybrid median filter is evaluated in terms of PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) and the processing time.

  • Today, remote monitoring and control systems are becoming the cost-effetive management tools for almost all water user groups, including irrigators, water districts, municipal water suppliers, and wildlife management groups. This paper represents a new approach in the water-gate control using radio communication. The proposed device is simple in structure and suitable for implementation of water-gate control through the transceiver by radio communication. It was confirmed that the developed device was very efficient to control water-gate and to prove the up and down motion of water-gate through the LCD displayer

  • The dynamic instability for snapping phenomena has been studied by many researches. There is few paper which deal with the dynamic buckling under the load with periodic characteristics, and the behavior under periodic excitation is expected the different behavior against STEP excitation. We investigate the fundamental mechanisms of the dynamic instability when the sinusoidal shaped arch structures subjected to sinusoidal distributed excitation with pin-ends. In this study, the dynamic direct snapping of shallow arches is investigated under not only STEP load excitation but also sinusoidal harmonic excitations, applied in the up-and-down direction. The dynamic nonlinear responses are obtained by the numerical integration of the geometrically nonlinear equations of motion, and examined by the Fourier spectral analysis in order to get the frequency-dependent characteristics of the dynamic instability for various load levels.

축소모델을 통한 고속철도 차량의 진동특성 해석 및 검증 (Analysis of the Vibration Characteristics of a High-Speed Train using a Scale Model)

  • 철도차량의 실차 규모 동특성시험은 설비 구축, 대차의 제작 및 시험 조건의 설정등과 관련하여 비용, 시간 등의 증대로 많은 어려움이 따른다. 본 연구에서는 실험실 환경에서 차량 진동문제와 안전성을 평가하기 위한 목적으로 축소모델을 제작하고, 개발된 축소모델이 해당 철도차량의 동특성을 정밀하게 모사하는지를 검증하는 평가방법에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 축소이론은 Jaschinski 상사기법의 이론을 적용하였으며, 1/10 축소모델을 구축하였다. 본 연구에서는 축소 대차의 상하 진동에 초점을 맞혀 시스템을 제작하였다. 시스템은 구동부, 보기, 대차 등 3개의 하부구조로 구성되었으며, 실제 차량으로 환산 시 400km/hr까지 실험가능 하도록 목표로 하였다. 축소 대차의 설계 및 제작과 함께, 동역학해석 프로그램인 ADAMS/View를 이용하여 고유치 해석을 수행하였다. 전산해석으로 도출된 고유진동수는 실험결과와 비교 분석되었다. 시스템이 가지고 있는 초기 5개의 자유도에 상응한 고유진동수를 비교한 결과, 개발된 상사 이론에 따른 축소모형은 충분한 신뢰성을 확보한 것으로 검증되었다. 본 연구에서 개발된 축소모델은 대학실험실에서 차량진동모드를 모사하는 용도로 기획되었으나, 추후 자유도의 추가보완을 통해 고속철도 차량의 대차와 보기구조 동특성 해석에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Conventional researches almost have been focused on the one dimensional inverted pendulum. Recently, Sprenger et al[2] have researched a two dimensional inverted pendulum Observing human's action to control an inverted pendulum, one can recognize that human uses a three dimensional metier including the up and down motion. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy logic controller(FLC) of a new three dimensional inverted pendulum system.   • This paper has been studied that ocean wave vibration power generator is composed of buoy and vibration generator to make effective use of ocean wave energy. We designed buoy to can occur resonance for dominant frequency with ocean wave. And then we fitted the natural frequency of vibration system with vibration power generator to buoy's natural frequency. And we can show that the amplitude of ocean wave up and down motion is decreased, on the other hand, the displacement of vibration system with vibration power generator is increased. Therefore, ocean wave vibration power generator which is proposed in this paper has merits not only securing its stability from surroundings but also producing more electronic power by using ocean wave energy.

  • A 50 N monopropellant thruster being developed for attitude control in a variety of aerospace application systems is described in this paper. Ninety percent hydrogen peroxide was selected as a propellant, since it is much less hazardous than hydrazine. A scaled down thruster with aluminum oxide loaded with the platinum in the reaction chamber was tested to determine propellant decomposition onto a catalyst. A scaled up 50 N thruster, with a catalyst bed of 3 cm in diameter and 4 cm in length, was evaluated by decomposition efficiency based on temperature, ${\eta}_T$, efficiency of characteristic velocity, ${\eta}_{C^*}$, and measurement of thrust. The performance of a 50 N thruster was 40.5 Newton in thrust, about 100 % in ${\eta}_T$, and 98 % in ${\eta}_{C^*}$, and 125 sec in specific impulse at sea level.
