This study was conducted to investigate the anthropometric data, serum profiles, nutrient intakes and diet quality of men in their 30s. The subjects were divided into a married group and an unmarried group. For the study, we obtained data for analysis from the combined 2008~2015 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). Mean height and weight of study population were 173.5 cm, and 74.0 kg in the married group and 173.1 cm, and 73.6 kg in the unmarried group, respectively. Systolic blood pressure in the unmarried group was significantly higher than that of the married group (P<0.001), while circulating vitamin D levels in the married group were significantly higher than those of the unmarried group (P<0.001). The proportion of obesity in the two groups was 42.41% and 38.40%, respectively. In the unmarried group, prevalence of depression was significantly higher than that those of the married group. Intakes of energy, water, protein, fat, carbohydrate and calcium in the married group were significantly higher than those of the unmarried group. In both groups, water and fiber intakes were low and sodium intakes were extremely high based on the KDRIs (Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans). The mean adequacy ratio (MAR) of the married group was higher than that of the unmarried group. The index of nutritional quality (INQ) in the married group was also higher than that of the unmarried group. Therefore, we propose development of dietary guidelines and education programs for improvement of food and nutrient intakes, nutrition balance and dietary quality of unmarried men in their 30s.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct and test a structural equation modeling on the reproductive health behavior of single women with sexual experiences. This study employed Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Methods: The data were collected after receipt of consent from 250 single women with sexual experiences, and analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results: Model fit indices for the hypothetical model were suitable for the recommended level: $x^2=362.407$, RMR=0.065, RMSEA=0.070, GFI=0.867. TLI=0.927, CFI=0.938, IFI=0.939, and $x^2/dF=2.237$. Intention showed direct effect with the biggest effect being on reproductive health behavior. Attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control were found to have a direct effect on intention. Among them, perceived behavioral control revealed the largest influence. Conclusion: This study suggests that the TPB is a suitable model in explaining the reproductive health behavior of single women with sexual experience. Strategic plans for educational and intervention programs should be aimed to encourage single women to engage in reproductive health behavior.
Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate Korean version of the beliefs about Papanicolau (Pap) test and cervical cancer [CPC-28] in unmarried university students. Methods: The Korean version of CPC-28 (K-CPC-28) was developed through forward-backward translation techniques. A reliability, confirmatory factor analysis and correlations coefficients were evaluated. Data were collected from 303 unmarried female students attending university using a questionnaire that included28 items of CPC, 5 items of susceptibility of cervicalcancer and 8 items of HPV knowledge. Results: K-CPC-28 had reliable internal consistency with Cronbach's ${\alpha}$=.74 of six subscales ranged from .66 to .80. Factor loadings of the 28 items of subscales ranged from .31 to .86. Six factors in this study explained 55% of the total variance. In convergent validity of the K-CPC-28, the subscales of K-CPC-28 were significantly correlated with susceptibility scale of cervical cancer and HPV knowledge scale. Conclusion: K-CPC-28has satisfactory construct validity and reliability. It seems to be an acceptable tool to assess the attitudes toward cervical cancer prevention and Pap smear in unmarried women. This tool would be also applicable to screen the risk group in cervical cancer prevention and to identify its association with actual Pap test or cervical cancer prevention behaviors.
Purpose: This study aimed to have an in-depth understanding of the structure and essence of the living experiences of unmarried mothers institutionalized after childbirth through phenomenological research. Methods: The data were collected through in-depth interview with 9 unmarried mothers from October 1, 2016 to February 2017 and this is qualitative research using Colazzi's phenomenological research method. Results: The living experiences of unmarried mothers institutionalized after childbirth had 15 themes in 4 theme clusters: 'childbirth and parenting,' 'living in women's refuge,' 'becoming independent as proud mother,' and 'disentangled thread.' Conclusion: After childbirth, unmarried mothers experienced psychological pressure from the need to cope with lonely and wearing reality by themselves but struggled to overcome the reality together with their child. Unmarried mothers hoped to live the life they chose proudly and happily together with their child. It is therefore necessary to give residential and environmental support to unmarried mothers in pursuit of their stable living and to change the awareness in the whole society with the aim of removing negative social attitude and discrimination, accepting differences, and living together.
The purpose of this study was to identify Chinese new generation women's clothing exploratory behavior according to their sensitivity pursuit propensity. The respondents were 500 Chinese new generation women residing in Soju City, China. Frequencies, percent, mean, one-way ANOVA, factor analysis, Chi-square test, and cluster analysis were done by use of SPSS PC+. The results were as follows; 1. The factors of sensitivity pursuit propensity were adventure & diversity, change, new atmosphere, and artistic sensitivity. And factors of clothing exploratory behavior were brand turnover, innovative clothing purchasing or wearing, clothing information collection through visiting store, and clothing information collection through contacting neighbors or advertisement. 2. The Chinese new generation women were classified into the creativity pursuit, the adventure & change pursuit, the multi-sensation pursuit, and the sensation retard according to their sensitivity pursuit propensity. 3. The creativity pursuit explored clothing for brand turnover and information through visiting store, communication, or advertisement, were found more among the unmarried late 20's with higher education and jobs. The adventure & change pursuit explored clothing information through visiting store, were found more among the unmarried university students in early 20's. The multi-sensation pursuit explored innovative clothing purchasing, were found more among the unmarried early 20's with jobs or students. Purpose: This study aimed to identify differences in contraception behavior and related factors between unmarried female and male. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design with a convenient sampling was used. From Seoul, 107 women and 96 men were recruited. A structured questionnaire was self-administered from July 14, 2008 to September 2, 2008. Results: The average ages of women and men were 26.9 and 27.8 years old, respectively. Fiftysix percent of women and 85.4% of men have experienced sexual intercourse. There were no differences between female and male in attitude toward contraception, subjective norm, and contraception behavior, while female had higher score of self-efficacy for contraception (p=.02) and intention of contraception (p=.02). There was positive correlation with subjective norm (r=.22, p<.05), self-efficacy (r=.53, p<.01) in male and attitude (r=.32, p<.05), selfefficacy (r=49, p<.01) in female. According to the result of multiple regression, the significant factor of contraception behavior was self-efficacy for both female (${\beta}$=.49, p=.00) and male (${\beta}$=.53, p=.00). Conclusion: To improve contraception behavior for unmarried female and male, it is necessary to develop proper sex education program to enhance self-efficacy for contraception. Adjusted education program by this result will contribute to increase sexual health for female and male.
Natural increase rate in population is reached to 1.7% in 1975 fron 2.5% in 1966 because of the effect of Govermental Family Planning Program. The average number of present children and ideal children is just the same, 2.4 people, in this investigation. So, I assume that the number of present and ideal children is approaching each other. The rate of unmarried female workers who don't know even one thing about the know ledge of contraception was 23.9%, and especially that of rural women was 31.5% and 41.3% of them has never experienced contraception. 'Boy-preference' presented 60.1% of unmarried female workers and 79.1% of married women. 'Connection of a family line' related to 'Transfer to next generation of a family line' presented 38.0% and 'Trustworthiness' related to 'Leadership of a family' presented 26.0% (total 64.0%). As this point, Ive can find that this rate reveals the traditional sense of patriarchal system in society and family. The rate of women of experienced artificial abortion has been 52.1% and that of women using it as birth control caused by 'Many children' and 'Short brith-interval' 46.6% of women of experienced pregnancy. So, we can see that artificial abortion is a main cause of Maternal Health destruction.

This study is a descriptive survey study that applies the planned behavior theory to identify the factors influencing the childbirth intention of unmarried men and women. Data were collected from April 05 to April 23, 2021 for 168 unmarried men and women. As a result of the study, in general characteristics, male, old, highly educated, occupational, and non-regular workers had statistically significantly higher childbirth intentions. As a result of examining the correlation between the variables constituting the theory of planned behavior(TPB), it was found that the more positive the attitude toward childbirth, the greater the subjective norm, and the greater the perceived behavior control, the higher the intention to give birth. Multiple regression analyses showed that the factors affecting fertility intention on men and women. The factors affecting fertility intention in men was attitude, with an explanatory power of 62.2% and the factors affecting fertility intention in women were attitudes and perceived behavioral control, and the explanatory power of these variables on fertility intention was 69.0%. In order to increase the intention to give birth, a comprehensive approach is needed, and the research is meaningful in that the results of this study provided basic data in the development of policies and education programs related to low birth rates in the future.
