자연과학계열 대학생의 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 그릿(Grit), 진로결정자기효능감, 진로결과기대, 전공흥미 간의 관계 분석 (The Relationship among Career Preparation Behaviors, Grit, Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy, Outcome Expectation, and Major Interest of Natural Science College Students)

  • 최근 우리나라는 미래국가성장동력을 마련하기 위해 과학인재양성에 힘쓰고 있다. 이에 교육부에서는 이공계 대학교육의 내실화를 위한 특별법을 마련하고, 산업연계 교육 활성화 선도대학(PRIME)과 같은 사업을 시행하여 교육적인 지원을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 지원에도 불구하고 이공계 내 다른 계열과 비교하여 현재 자연과학계열 인력은 수요와 공급이 불균형을 이루고 있는 실정이며, 더욱이 자연과학계열 대학생들은 전공 외 분야에 취업하는 경우가 많아, 이들을 위한 진로교육이 필요하다는 목소리가 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한 개인의 진로발달과정에서 진로결정에 영향을 미치는 변인에 대한 포괄적인 이해가 가능한 사회인지진로모형(SSCT)을 바탕으로 자연과학계열 대학생들의 진로준비행동에 대한 그릿(Grit), 진로결정자기효능감, 진로결과기대, 전공흥미 변인의 예측력 및 이들 간의 경로관계를 실증적으로 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 A대학 자연계열 학생 153명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 경로분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 그릿에서 진로결정자기효능감, 진로결과기대, 전공흥미, 진로준비행동으로 가는 경로모형은 통계적으로 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 자연과학계열 대학생들이 그들의 전공 분야와 관련한 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위해서는 그릿, 진로결정자기효능감, 진로결과기대, 전공흥미를 통합적으로 고려한 체계적인 진로교육이 제공되어야 함을 제안하였다.

A comparison of two differential methods for nutrition education in elementary school: lecture- and experience-based learning program

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: This research was conducted to compare lecture- and experience-based methods of nutritional education as well as provide fundamental data for developing an effective nutritional education program in elementary schools. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A total of 110 students in three elementary schools in Jeollanam-do were recruited and randomly distributed in lecture- and experience-based groups. The effects of education on students' dietary knowledge, dietary behaviors, and dietary habits were analyzed using a pre/post-test. RESULTS: Lecture- and experience-based methods did not significantly alter total scores for dietary knowledge in any group, although lecture-based method led to improvement for some detailed questions. In the experience-based group, subjects showed significant alteration of dietary behaviors, whereas lecture-based method showed alteration of dietary habits. CONCLUSIONS: These outcomes suggest that lecture- and experience-based methods led to differential improvement of students' dietary habits, behaviors, and knowledge. To obtain better nutritional education results, both lectures and experiential activities need to be considered.

한국과 일본의 주거교육 연구 동향 -한국가정과교육학회지와 일본가정과교육학회지($1989{\sim}2006$)를 중심으로- (Trends of Housing Education Researches in Korea and Japan from 1989 to 2006 -Focused on the Journal of Korean Home Economics Education and Journal of the Japan Association of Home Economics Education -)

  • 이 연구는 주거교육 관련 논문을 분석하여 연구의 동향을 파악하여 앞으로의 주거교육 연구의 방향성을 제시하고자, 한국가정과교육학회지와 일본가정과교육학회지를 대상으로 한국가정과교육학회지의 창간 시점인 1989년부터 2006년까지의 한국과 일본의 주거교육 연구의 동향을 비교분석하였다. 연구결과, 학회지의 발행 현황은 한국과 일본의 모두 주거교육 관련 연구가 양적으로 많지 않았는데 일본의 경우가 한국에 비하여 상대적으로 많았으나 최근으로 올수록 한국에서의 주거교육 관련 연구가 더욱 활발하다. 연구영역은 한국에서는 교과인식과 교수학습방법 및 교재연구가 많은 반면, 일본의 경우는 교수학습방법 및 교재연구와 교육평가에 대한 연구가 많았다. 연구주제 단원은 한국에서는 주생활 단원 전반이 가장 많았던 반면, 일본은 주거공간에 대한 연구가 많았다. 연구방법은 한국과 일본 모두 조사연구와 실험연구 방법을 적용시킨 연구가 상당부분 차지하는데, 한국은 조사연구의 비율이 실험연구에 비하여 매우 높았고, 일본은 조사연구와 실험연구의 비율 차이가 많지 않은 편이었다. 연구대상은 한국과 일본 모두 학생을 연구대상으로 한 비율이 높았고 일본의 경우 연구대상의 범위가 다양하였다. 연구대상자의 규모는 한국과 일본 모두 300명대 이하의 연구가 대체로 많은 편이었다. 분석방법은 두 나라 모두 기술통계를 가장 많이 적용하고 있었다.

다문화 기반 초등영어교육에 관한 예비초등교사의 인식 조사 (A Study of Primary Pre-service Teachers' Perceptions on Multicultural Embedded English Education)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 영어과 다문화교육에 대한 예비초등교사들의 인식과 가치관을 파악함으로써 바람직한 다문화 기반 초등영어교육 방안을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 국립 C교육대학교에 재학 중인 예비교사 63명이 본 연구에 참여하였으며 온라인 설문지를 통하여 연구 문제에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 예비교사들의 다문화교육 기반 영어교육에 대한 인식과 가치관을 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있었다. 첫째, 예비교사들은 초등학생의 전반적인 이해도가 상당히 높았으며, 초등학습자의 학습양식에 대해 잘 이해하고 있었다. 둘째, 초등 예비교사들의 다문화 기반 영어교육에 대한 인식에 따라 개인적 변인(성별, 학년, 전공)에 따른 차이를 알아본 결과, 학년별로는 유의미한 차이가 드러나지 않았으나 성별에 따른 다문화 교육 기반 영어교육의 인식과 가치관에서 남학생이 여학생에 비해 근소하게나마 높게 나타났다. 전공에 따른 인식도에 있어서는 과학과와 체육과 학생들이 각각 평균값 4.13, 4.49로 영어과 학생들(3.87)에 비하여 다문화교육기반 영어교육의 필요성에 대하여 상대적으로 높게 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 다문화 교육 유무와 개인별 변인(성별, 학년, 전공)의 차이는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 다문화 교육 유무와 성별에서는 비슷한 수치를 나타냄으로써 두 변수 간의 관계는 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 다문화 교육 유무와 학년에 따른 연관성에서는 유의수준이 p<.05보다 작으므로 유의미한 관계가 있었다. 또한 다문화 교육 유무와 전공별 상관관계에서는 유의확률의 값이 .044로 서로 관계가 있음을 보여주었다.

식품영양 전공 및 비전공 여대생 영양섭취상태 및 혈액성상에 관한 비교 연구 - 혈청 철분을 중심으로 - (A Comparison between Food and Nutrition Major, and Non-major, Female University Students in terms of their Nutrient Intakes and Hematological Status, with an Emphasis on Serum Iron)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare nutrient intakes and the serum iron status of 74 Food and Nutrition major, and 45 non-major, female students at a university in Incheon. This cross-sectional survey was conducted using a self-administered questionnaire and the data were analyzed by the SPSS 10.0 program. The nutrient intake data collected from three-day dietary recalls were analyzed by the Computer Aided Nutritional Analysis Program. Anthropometric data and hematological indices of iron in the blood were measured. Average heights, weights, body fat and mid-upper arm circumference of Food and Nutrition major and non-major female students were 160.3 cm, 53.5kg, 25.8%, 23.7cm and 159.8cm, 55.5kg, 28.9%, 24.8cm, respectively. There were significant differences in body fat percentage and mid-upper arm circumference between the major and non-major students. In all subjects, daily dietary intakes of nutrients- except protein, vitarrlin B1, vitamin C and phosphorus - were lower than the Korean RDA. In particular, calcium and iron intakes of all subjects were under 60% of the Korean RDA. Values of RBC (red blood cell) count, Hb (hemoglobin), Hct (hematocrit), MCV (mean cell volume), MCH (mean cell hemoglobin), and MCHC (mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration) of the non-major students were significantly higher compared to those of the major students. The diastolic blood pressure of the major students was negatively correlated with MCV, MCH, TS, and serum iron levels. Triceps skinfold thickness, mid-upper arm circumference and waist-to-hip ratios of the non-major students were negatively correlated with TIBC. Fat intake was positively correlated with RBC, Hb, Hct, and TIBC (total iron binding capacity) in the major students. Vitamin C intake was positively correlated with serum iron in the major students. Carbohydrate intake was positively correlated with Hb, Hct, and MCHC in the non-major students. Niacin and iron intakes were positively correlated with Hb and Hct in the non-major students. Therefore, nutrition education is necessary for female university students to improve nutritional status and to practice optimal nutrition strategies. (Korean J Nutrition 35(9) : 952~961, 2002)

현대 과학철학자들의 저술에 나타난 과학교육의 이미지 (The Images of Science Education Illustrated in the Books Written by Modern Philosophers of Science)

  • In this study, the images of science education illustrated in the books written by six major modern philosophers of science (K. R. Popper, N. R. Hanson, T. S. Kuhn, I. Lakatos, P. Feyerabend and J. Ziman) were investigated. In this article, the parts, from the books investigated, which have direct relevance to science education are quoted and the discussions by the researchers on them are added. Particularly, the learning by trial and error (of Popper), the role of context in scientific thinking (of Hanson), science education through the history of science (of Lakatos), science education appreciating individualities and voluntary curiosity (of Feyerabend) and the social aspect of science as a source of its rationality (of Ziman) appear to be the main points which have direct relevances and meaningful implications to science education but which have not been considered or discussed in detail in science education.

The Effect of Entrepreneurial Education on Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship Intention: Focusing on University Students who took Entrepreneurship-related Courses

  • This purpose of this study was to identify the factors that influence entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intention. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship intention, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship intention. For this purpose, the following empirical analysis was conducted on the research hypothesis set in the research model for 223 university students who took the course on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship. First, as a result of examining the effect of the hypothesis 1 between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention, a positive effect was shown. Hypothesis 1 was accepted. Second, hypothesis 2, entrepreneurship education showed a positive (+) influence on entrepreneurship. Therefore, hypothesis 2 was accepted. Third, as a result of testing the hypotheses on the relationship between the three hypotheses on and entrepreneurial intention, statistically significant analysis was performed. Therefore, hypothesis 3 was accepted. In other words, the results of this study showed that entrepreneurship education acted as a positive factor on the entrepreneurial intention, and entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit, like the results of previous studies. Therefore, as entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship act as major factors to improve entrepreneurial intentions, the importance of upgrading systematic and substantial entrepreneurship education and education on substantial entrepreneurship was emphasized.

  • Recognizing a tremendous increase in the Internet users and popularity of E-learning through the Internet, this study attempted to analyze interactive financial education web sites for children. Using meta search engines and major search engines, interactive financial education web sites identified based on the three criteria and analyzed in terms of the appropriateness for specific age groups, the coverage of contents related to the basic knowledge for financial literacy, and the interactive activities. The results showed that financial education web sites for children were needed to be improved in terms of both quantity and quality. The study also provides a guideline how to search for an appropriate financial education web sites for children when parents want teach about money to their children.

Development of the Endocrine Disruptor Experiment in Teaching Program for Teenagers

  • We investigated the education process of an environmental experiment in middle and high school. The major objective was that students understand about biological toxicity of endocrine disruptor. We used bisphenol A in environmental experiment to educate them about the effects of endocrine disruptor. The test animal was zebrafish (Danio rerio, wild type) which is very easy to use in the school experiment class. We educated the high school students (n=25) in Suwon through this teaching program. Finally we analyzed the effect of research education between two groups, education students (test) and non-education students (control). This experiment showed there were some positive effects on environmental reorganization of students. They understood the affect of endocrine disruptors in fish and man. Specifically, understanding the importance of preservation of ecosystem increased in the test-education group.

  • The interest in the Fourth Industrial Revolution along with the development of ICT makes the software get the attention of the world. This phenomenon naturally leads to the concern for software education. Learning software coding is not easy for students whose major is in humanities or social sciences. This paper is a study of how cognition on software education affects to education of computational thinking. For research method, moderator variables were adopted on the proposed research model to prove that positive cognition can derive good influence on improvement of computational thinking. To find out moderator variables of the research model, we have conducted the questionnaire over three years for total of 928 students who took the software coding courses. As the result of the study, we proved that the positive cognition on software education can make the better improvement of computational thinking within proper moderator variables.
